A few weeks ago I had gone to Machynlleth, Wales for an alternative spring break travel course. While I was there I was able to visit the town, and the road to the pub in the next town over.
I also attended lectures about sustainability and different studies that had been done on the subject. I went to a few classes about the world ending and how big a hamburger's carbon footprint was.
Though I did stay behind on our day off and helped fix and erect a wind turbine for the eco-cabins that I was in.

Here's a few pictures I wanted to share:
This is CAT, it doesn't look like much; it's an awesome place.

Where I lived for a week, with the view of our sitting area and kitchen. There are a few monitors that I took a picture of too (they moniter our energy use so we didn't overuse the solar energy)

Wood burning electric and heat generator:

Hydrolic trolly lift:

Inside the main building:

Lots of solar panels around:

A windmill or two:

Living fences:

Hemp stems + Lime = concrete substitute. I thought that was way cool. I liked the hemp stem bags too...

Recycled window greenhouse:

And finally, the pub.
