Sailor Iris had made a mental note.
Never again would she accidentally be the cause of a guardian cat injury. Never ever again! It was not the blonde senshi's "thing" to be a pack mule. It was not her "thing" to have a cat in her house, eating her food, and literally bossing her around the moment the girl got back from school.
It hadn't even been 24 hours yet, and the tall girl was already tempted to start pulling her hair out. The cat never shut up! The cat never stopped asking for food! In all honesty, it was a saving grace that Ellie Spectre's parents weren't around much. And now, of all things, the cat wanted Sailor Iris to literally run around the city just so the cat could at least keep looking for more Sailor Scouts.
"You really should use the roof tops."
"Told ya before cat... I don't do roof tops" was the flat response the tomboy offered to the cat in her arms right now. It might have seemed a bit odd seeing a Senshi running around in the afternoon's broad daylight, but that was just what the Senshi of Rainbows was doing. She was running paths that the cat would usually take in the alleyways, so there was less risk at being seen, but the yellow suit was hard to miss.
"Alrighty, turn left at the next path..."
The feline was nestled stiffly in the girl's arms, keeping her eyes on the path. ********* had been tempted a few times to look up at the tomboy senshi, but then she would possibly miss any of those sudden directions she needed to give.
"...It will take you to a main street, so you will want to slow down and just walk."
Iris' eyes narrowed a bit. "Why th'hell are we goin' out there?" She was still going to do as told (stupid cat hanging this whole broken leg thing over her head), but she wasn't about to stifle her questions about the whole thing.
"...there is someone there I know... I can tell..." More specifically, Sailor and Princess Chronos, who she had only met one time. It couldn't hurt to meet her one more time. Right? Knowing her girl who was carrying her, she decided it would be best for now to not mention the fact this was going to be a social visit.
"Whatever..."
Spinning past the turn, the girl then skidded to a stop and began walking, as she had been told. It would help if the cat could tell her what she was looking for. Being about 6 foot tall when in her heels, she had a pretty good view of everyone in front of her.
It also meant that the Sailor Scout was very visible to everyone else on the sidewalk too.

Sailor Chronos, on the other hand, wasn't exactly patrolling. Technically, she had put herself on the mission of patrolling, but she was in civilian guise, walking about as Serenade Soriano for the moment. Hero would blow a gasket if she knew, or spotted Chronos sneaking out of Crystal, and Zue would probably be quite worried if he had sensed her going out all powered up.
Still, after the little run in Chronos had with Charonite, she hadn't exactly been in the best of moods, and figured that if any youma turned up while she was 'window-shopping', she could easily just henshin up and take it down with some Tiara Action. It was infuriating just thinking about Charonite. And Obsidian. And that she hadn't been able to do anything to help.
Some people around her gasped, and Serenade tilted her head in the direction that they pointed, eyes widening at the yellow suited senshi and the guardian cat ********* in her arms. It wouldn't do for them to approach her while she wasn't powered up yet, and she held a finger to her lips before ducking into a nearby alleyway to transform.

Eyes were on the Senshi, and the Senshi just rolled her eyes. "Yeah, yeah, nothin' t'see 'ere!" She was a decent sized girl who was able to push her way through the crowd. She did just that, offering the occasional "'Scuse me! Pardon me!" and even every so often "Jus' need t'get t'the market like the rest of ya!"
********* had to shake her head at the market excuse, but at least Sailor Iris wasn't daunted by eyes being on her in such a situation. Mid head shake, she managed to catch a glimpse of the pale-haired princess. The gesture was self explanatory. ********* needed to remain quiet.
Well, ********* wasn't the one she needed to worry about.
Sailor Iris was grinning, up until she received a n** on the arm (through her glove, ouch). The blonde looked down, eyes already glaring at the cat. She would have said something, if it weren't for the fact that the cat's head started to turn towards the alleyway, gesturing towards it by nodding her head towards it.
"Got it!" With a grin, the girl ran into the alleyway. It left the onlookers wondering if she was truly serious about going to the market or not.

When Iris and ********* ran in the alleyway, Serenade had already made use of the distraction (People were more interested in staring at the Senshi in the midst of them than noticing that a girl had just ran into an alleyway all of a sudden) to take out her compact and transform into Sailor Chronos, who was now facing them with a surprised and curious look fixated on her face.
"Did something happen?" She asked, and then remembered the tree, the aliens and Charonite... perhaps Astraea had caught wind of it? Cerise eyes flickered over the two, then noticed the cast on the guardian cat's leg and the previous question and thought was abandoned as she started forward in worry. "Are you alright?"

The blonde rounded the corner and there, right in front of her, was some sort of Senshi. Pale green hair, deep pink eyes, and the obviously girly outfit. Yep, this was definitely a Senshi. Though Iris was not on a name basis with this particular Sailor Scout, she did vaguely remember her. She was probably at that tree. A lot of people were at that weird tree.
Whoever this girl was, she was now right in front of the tall blonde practically cooing at the cat.
"Uh...?" Apparently Iris was just furniture at the moment.
The cat leaned out a bit towards Chronos, as if trying to invite her to give her some head scratches. ********* was not the sort to refuse such. Oh, head scratches were very nice.
Even with her ever so "subtle" fashion of requesting attention, the cat's eyes were upon the Princess, pale green eyes ever attentive upon cerise ones. "Well, I am okay right now... or at least as 'okay' as one can be with a broken leg." The cat laughed gently.
"It does, however, make patrolling very difficult for me. I have to sit around and wait for someone to carry me around, and I can't cover nearly as much ground as I would like to. I suspect I will be putting on a few pounds over the next six weeks."
The cat could have easily continued on with such a pleasant conversation (since the way she talked made it sound liek the whole ordeal was a walk in the park), but then another voice interrupted.
"Yeah, hi, sorry t'interject, kiddies, but last I checked, it was only polite t'introduce yerself t'someone when ya first meet'em." Readjusting the cat in her arm, the yellow-suited scout thrust an arm out at the other scout.
"Go by Iris... what 'bout yerself, kiddo?"

Chronos did indeed reach out a hand to pat the grey kitty and scratch her behind a ear, eyebrows furrowed in worry as she gazed at the cast on ********* leg. Cerise eyes snapped back up at the senshi carrying ********* as she was addressed, and Chronos could only offer her a sheepish smile as she inclined her head in greeting. "I apologize; I'm Sailor Chronos." She didn't really feel the need to announce that she was a Princess, besides, most of the senshi would have known her title if they had been paying attention to the meeting.
She took the other's hand, her gentle grip a contrast to the taller girl's firmer one. "You are one of the Asteroid girls ********* talked about, I presume?"

"Hmmm... Chronos... phonos... bonos..." As they shook hands, she couldn't help but snicker a bit at the things that rhymed with Chronos. This girl definitely had a girly handshake. Iris was mentally betting that this girl thought such a wussy handshake was polite of all things.
As she put an end to her own snickering and the handshake, she pointed out the obvious. "Oh, yer that princess chick from that meetin'..." There was no respect in her tone, just Iris simply stating facts as what they were.
********* had been denied head-scratches. An ear twitched slightly in annoyance, but she didn't make a fuss of it. Instead, all the manx did was lean out again, trying to encourage Chronos to pet her. "Yes, this is Sailor Iris, one of my girls."
The blonde rolled her eyes, then stated another fact. "I ain't yer girl. I never agreed to a damned thing, cat."
The cat simply shook her head, causing her neck bell to jingle slightly. "Oh, then let me reintroduce you, Iris. 'This is Sailor Iris, my noble steed who is repaying me for a debt.' Does that sound better to you, Iris?"
If there was one thing ********* was good at, it was pushing Iris' buttons. However, it wasn't just pushing the rage buttons, it was pushing the exact buttons which got points across to the Senshi of Rainbows. So despite being angry, despite being furious, the yellow-suited girl buttoned her lip on the subject.
"Chronos, was it? You take th'cat! She's jus' a fat a** an' I'm tired of carryin' 'er." The princess didn't get much of a choice, and now literally had a little bundle of pale fur shoved into her arms. Whoever Iris was, she definitely was not a cat person, it was obvious from how haphazardly the transaction of cat-to-girl went.

In truth, Chronos was just more accustomed to curtsying, bowing even, as a greeting, and when people took her hand, it was usually to kiss it. It was a form of respect shown to the Princess of the Zodiacs, although she didn't exactly expect it of the Moon Senshi. Iris seemed a bit tactless, or was it because she was in an irritable mood? Chronos didn't think that taking care of a Guardian Cat was all that hard, really, but then again Zue seemed to fend for himself just fine. He had never gotten a cast either.
Chronos carefully made her arms a comfortable perch for *********, blinking at the yellow skirted senshi in bemusement before turning her attention back to the cat. "How did you get injured, anyway?"

Well, that hadn't been very comfortable. ********* adjusted herself as best as she could not in her new perch's arms, but that one leg in the cast was just so annoying to move. It was just awkwardly heavy.
"Well, thank you for dealing with this, Chronos," the cat mentioned, completely grateful that she hadn't been dropped on her head or anything. The question of the injury received a relatively simple explanation that didn't directly pin the whole thing on Iris. ********* was nice like that.
"Some Negaverse Lieutenant squished me." No, nothing dramatic or impressive. She had simply been squished. "He was a fatty." He wasn't really all that fat, but anyone who was bigger than a cat and used their full body weight on her body was a fatty in her mind.
Of course, Iris interjected to point this out. "The kid was just that! He was a kid... he was a short stuff." She leaned against a nearby wall, one leg kicked up so her foot was flat against the wall.
"There is a slight difference in our sizes, Iris..." The cat sighed and shook her head before settling her head against her casted leg. Her eyes rose to the cerise ones again. "It really isn't all that bad. It could have been a lot worse." The cat laughed before asking a much more conversational question.
"So, how have you been since the last time we met, Chronos?"

"It's no problem at all." Chronos assured *********. She was very good with carrying cats, with her experience with Zue, although with him, it seemed as though nowadays, he was giving her more experience with cuddles and letting her cry into his fur. She felt rather bad that he had to go through the latter, but was determined not to let it happen again.
"At least you'll heal." She said, although it was a rather stiff smile. It was the mention of the Negaverse that triggered this reaction; Chronos still hadn't gotten over her recent face to face meeting with Charonite.
"I've been..." The Princess trailed off, wondering what exactly she should reveal. That she had lost the Opal Crystal? It wouldn't exactly help, seeing that ********* was already hurt, and the Zodiacs were already working on meeting up with Queen Nehelenia herself. "Busy." This was true, at the very least. There was another pause as Chronos further debated with herself.
And then decided that they had a right to know about the new threat in town. "There's a new villain in Destiny City. Have you heard anything about that, or shall I tell you about it?"

It just came out of nowhere, but ********* gave the command as if it was part of their natural conversation.
"Iris, go get me a corndog."
"Th'f*ck, cat?!" Her foot stomped against the wall before she pushed herself up into standing, making her way to the pale spotted cat. The yellow suited senshi leaned down a bit so she was about at eye level with the cat. It was almost as if the senshi was attempting to start a staring contest.
"Seriously, what th'f*ck cat?! You expect me t'go get ya a corndog?! Like this?!! Ya know, it costs money, and I ain't got it on me when I'm like this!"
Despite literally getting yelled at in the face by one of her girls, the cat seemed to remain perfectly calm. Her fur didn't puff out in an agitated fashion, and her ears remained perfectly alert.
"I thought you had more brains than that, Iris. Go out, change back somewhere out of sight, get the corndog, then transform and come back."
Had Sailor Iris been a bull in a cartoon, steam would have snorted out from her nostrils. "Yer f*ckin' transparent, cat," was all she offered as the Senshi of Rainbows stomped off to do the requested errand. No need to say goodbyes, since she was going to be back soon enough anyways. With a corndog, apparently.
Only when ********* could tell Iris was no longer in hearing distance, the feline casually went back to the conversation. "Sue told me a lot the first time we met. He mentioned a Black Lady Serenity stole the Opal Crystal." The cat seemed to offer a soft smile as she looked up at the pale haired girl. "I would love to learn more, but I also want to know how you are holding up, Chronos?" The feline's voice was kind and completely sympathetic, as if encouraging the young princess to take off that brave mask she was wearing at the moment so she could be honest.

Chronos only looked up to give Iris a tentative, small smile as ********* distracted the senshi, which was a good thing. She would have found it awkward to talk about things if she had been around, not that she didn't think that the Moon Senshi didn't need to know about the current threat. It was just, really hard to say in front of someone she had just met, let alone someone rather... expressive with her words.
"And Wiseman." She interjected, biting her lip. Chronos herself thought the man with glowstick eyes were more of a threat than Black Lady, and she herself still remained puzzled and confused as to why Black Lady had called her cousin. And why did she possess the same name as Princess Serenity? Perhaps it was this that made a more lasting impression on Zue?
There was a pause as ********* gently asked her how she was doing and Chronos' face briefly crumpled and she closed her eyes. "I... saw Charonite again." She said in a low voice as she took in deep breaths to calm herself at the thought. "The last time I saw him was when he killed us. He... was with his army, and he introduced me to... to Captain Obsidian." Eyes snapped open and they were focused on the opposite wall instead of the cat in her arms as a fist clenched. "The man who killed Sagittarius."

"Sue never mentioned a 'Wiseman.'" This was a fact, and it was mentioned thoughtfully. ********* wanted to hear more about both Wiseman and Black Lady Serenity, but for now, Chronos was much more important.
And Chronos was apparently hurting about an encounter with Charonite. The manx had never met Charonite, and in all honesty, she hoped she never would, but the guardian cat knew exactly who he was. You weren't much of a guardian cat if you didn't know Charonite. The pale spotted cat was a bit restricted in her possible movements, but as best as she could, she attempted to nuzzle her face against the girl's bosom. She didn't speak right away, because Chronos was gathering her thoughts. Yet, her pale green eyes were able to see how much hurt this man had caused her emotionally. Physically too, considering the fact he had killed the Zodiacs before, but that wasn't something ********* was able to observe at the moment.
When the tailless cat finally did speak, her tone was completely sympathetic, but still had that friendly ring to her voice. "Death is the way of the Negaverse. It is wrong, simple as that." She paused to brush her cheek against the girl's body again. "I am sorry for your loss though... there isn't much I can say aside from that. If only words could fix all of the world's problems, right?" There was another pause to let out a gentle chuckle. "I can see you are being strong though. You are much stronger than any other scout I've met."
Good thing Iris wasn't here to hear that. Even if the strength that ********* was referencing was more of integrity, the Rainbow Senshi would have probably argued until she was blue in the face about how she was stronger than any other Sailor Scout out there.

Chronos frowned; it was very strange to hear that Zue was telling others about Black Lady Serenity but neglecting to mention Wiseman, whom she thought was a greater threat. He was the one who done something to the girl who called herself Serenity, she was sure of it! That, and he had been the one who put his hand in her chest, the one who had inserted the Opal Crystal into his own, and the one who had choked her...
And yet, Wiseman still remained a fraction behind Charonite on her fear list. It was because he hadn't killed her. Yet. Hadn't seemed to desire killing her, but still a formidable threat nevertheless.
"I cannot believe he was once..." Chronos trailed off, remembering how Kunzite had referred to Charonite. Mortalitas. That name had triggered a memory; she had remembered meeting cavaliers when she paid a visit to the Moon Court, remembered dancing with Prince Endymion... A part of her wondered how someone who served the Prince of the Earth would turn to the Negaverse and not return to fight for justice when his Captain already had. "I cannot believe the anger I had when I saw him. It was burning in my chest, and I had never felt that way before." Still, she knew, no matter how much loathing she felt towards the man, she could never bring herself to commit what he was callous enough to do. Death was the way of the Negaverse, not the Senshi.
"You haven't met Captain Aries then." She said, accompanied with a soft smile. "The Captain is much stronger than I am."

********* answer for the burning feeling in Chronos' chest was a simple on.
"It just means you have a grudge."
The cat rarely, if ever, felt this feeling. Yet, she knew exactly why she had that feeling, just because it was such a rare feeling for her. It was the feeling of never forgiving. It was always an intense feeling.
The mention of Captain Aries caused the cat to laugh slightly, but it was a lighthearted laugh. Nothing scornful, nothing mean, just light and airy in essence. "There are different strengths, Chronos. And though I haven't met Aries, I probably do not need to. You are strong. You have had to deal with so much more than probably any other scout, Lunar or Zodiac, has ever had to deal with."
It was almost an unofficial rule of being a Princess is you had to deal with more hardships than the rest.
"Don't ever doubt yourself, Chronos." With that, the feline gave the girl a few small licks to the arm. Cat kisses, ********* gave them out a lot!
When she finished up with that small display of affection, she shook off slightly, bell jingling to accent the movement. Iris would probably be back with a corndog soon. Mmmmmmmm. However, there was still some business to attend to.
"Before Iris gets back, can you tell me more about Wiseman and Black Lady Serenity? I only got told a very small amount. I do not even know what they look like, to be honest."
