His mother's birthday. She was far away now. He'd wandered endlessly in an attempt to see as much of the world as he could. Still though today she was on his mind and he spent most of the day slowly gathering all of the most beautiful flowers he could find from the forests and fields. These he collected into a disorganized pile. He'd leave it there when the day was out, that much he knew. For now though it made him feel a little closer to home.
There was a vibrant flower by the base of a tree. Red and purple, flecks of white. He bent to pick it.

The mare knew what it was like to have loved and lost. She had tried leaving her native family for the bright orange stallion, but it seemed they hadnt worked the way she had wanted so desperately. She didnt go back to her humans, however.. She had taken Razi's advice, and she had become a free mare.
Life was hard sometimes, being as trusting as the female was, but she dealt with it with grace. The paint mare smiled as the sun hit her face, and she took a deep breath to breathe in the beautiful morning. She was happier now.. Happier being free.
Clare looked across the clearing, and her eyes gleamed when they landed on another Soquili picking a large array of flowers. Another friend maybe? She took a breath to calm herself, then stepped forward.
"Hello!" She called.

He straightened up, still holding the newest flower in his mouth. Hello? Where had it come from? He turned, ears swivelling as he tried to find the source. It only took him a few moments but it felt like an eternity. One wouldn't expect a malicious being to announce their presence in such a pleasant tone but he'd heard stories.
Finally there she was. Not a threat, or if she was she sure hid it well. He stepped forward and dropped the flower into the pile, "Why hello! I wasn't expecting to run into someone else here!"

She blushed a little, hoping she hadnt disturbed him. At least he seemed friendly, that was always a plus. With a smile, she stepped closer, her braided tail flicking against her flank.
"Oh I hope its okay if I join you. Ive been alone far too long now, and I could use some interaction," She chuckled, and blinked at him with bright eyes.
He was handsome, and she was already feeling a blush coming on.

"Not often you meet such a nice young girl wandering all on her own," he said with a smile. "Perhaps though, that's only my experience."
He lowered his head a little and gestured to the flowers, "Would you like one? I don't think dear mother would mind sharing."
