I have recently been doing a lot of youth service work by supervising children on the playground at my school. Little kids are crazy hyper and the games that they play change almost daily. So I figured I would ask you guys what your favorite activity was at recess. I'll start by saying that my favorite was jumping off the equipment. ^______________________________________________________________________^

We used to pretend to be pokemon. Later on we'd climb things and talk though.

Four Square! Loved it
Though there were only two kick balls to use.. so we had to battle the boys for the use of one.

Our school had a lot of pinecones. So we used to make an outline of a house (with the living room, the bedrooms and the kitchen) (no washroom?) and we'd play house.

I remember when a group of friends and I would play mermaids, we would always get captured by pokemon for some reason though.

I guess my favorite childhood game was - BEATING THE CRAP OUTTA THOSE DAMN CLONES AT THAT ******** SS DEATH CAMP I WAS FORCED TO GO TO ON THE WEEKDAYS FROM 1ST TO 4TH GRADE! scream
......and I STILL hate those teachers. Thankfully the head of their SS Squads *Principal, Mrs. Ford* died of Cancer. I don't wish it on anyone but she deserved a slow death, seriously. talk2hand

Kids never really played games with me, they thought I had rabies. But in Gym class, when they were forced to, I loved Dodgeball, red Rover and Badminton.

When I was a wee lad, I lived in a white picket fence sort of neighborhood. You know, the "American dream" type? In the part of Evanston, Illinois that was still pretending it was a small town. So between the ages of 4 and 11 I spent my afternoons playing either in the Devoy's backyard across the alley, N64 in my brother's room ((And usually getting my a** handed to me in Goldeneye)), completeing my daily television ritual of Fox Kids ((Digimon and Power Rangers)) and Toonami ((Dragonball Z, Zoids, Gundam, Thunder Cats)) or in the park down the block. Good times.
On the other hand, I was always the weird little kid who was friends with that creepy autistic kid that mumbled to himself in school so I was picked on and bullied. Learned how to watch out for myself I guess you could say ((Though having a 6'8" tall brother with 250 pounds of muscle and a heavy weight for the local high school's wrestling team didn't hurt in the defense department)).
