Uwivu's blood was pumping, laced with adrenaline from his most recent bringing of 'justice' to the 'impure.' Or rather, 'beating up on a helpless young wild dog.' The thrill of it was still rushing through his veins, her blood still coated his claws. But more importantly, he had and urgent message for Oki. He had found out that that innocent-looking pink ball of hyperness was actually a child soldier in a resistance against the gods! It was a good thing he was there to interrogate information out of her.
That scum desperately deserved it though. It had taunted him when he was already in a foul mood. And when she had dodged his swipe, he knew. He knew that no ordinary filth had the skill to evade his powerful, skilled blows. Most would have turned away as soon as it began to pout, cry and say that it didn't know what he was talking about. But you have to get up pretty early to fool Uwivu. He was certain that its leader had trained the slime to act innocent, or told it so little that it had plausible deniablility. It was unfortunate that the rebellion seemed to be rather, well... organized!
His lungs were heaving, as he had been running quite the distance, and his legs were carrying him as fast as his psyched-up muscles could. He raced towards the shaded tree where Uwivu had last seen Oki. When he had left, she had been napping off her last meal, but now she was nowhere in sight. Flopping down under the cool relief of the tree, between pants, he gasped, "Dammit... whe... where is... she?!"

Oki prowled around the area that she called home, at least her temporary home, her eyes flashing menacingly from one place to another. She was in a foul mood, but what else was new? She had lost track of her new 'pet', and she intended to find him and scold him for running off without her, when she heard him panting and cursing somewhere to her left.
"Uwivu!" She snapped, rushing over to him, "What's the matter, too scared to be by yourself?" She smirked. His fear, or panic, or what ever was going on, was amusing to her. "Come on, spit it out." She flashed an evil grin at him. She highly doubted that he was really afraid of being on his own, but taunting him was always fun. She knew that he wasn't likely to defy her, no matter what she said.
She sat down beside him with a smug look on her face, glancing down at his feet to see that he had blood on his paws. Her eyes lit up with glee and she became giddy suddenly.
"Come on, dear, tell Oki what you killed!" She shook excitedly, suddenly proud of her lion. "Did you punish someone? What did they do? You did make them scream, of course? Tell me everything" Her tail twitched excitedly. Nothing like a bit of blood and stories of pain to brighten up her day.

Had he not been so exhausted from his several mile run, Uwivu would have promptly made a witty comeback to Oki's teasing, but this moment was far too serious for bantering, and he was certain his retort would sound incredibly foolish between his huffs of breath, so he decided to just take a moment to recover so that he may deliver the news in a comprehensible manner.
After Oki rambling for a little while, he had recaptured his breath and was ready to give his full report. "It was a young, female, wild dog. It showed no hesitation to tell me its name, false, or a codename I'm sure. It was 'Laika.' It had no sense of respect for the gods nor myself! If that weren't worthy of punishment enough, it avoided my attack! I know formal training when I see it, Oki, and it definitely was! As I attacked it to find out who it worked for, it began weeping and denying everything, but let it slip who the leader was. There is clearly weaknesses in the child soldiers. They are not emotionally solid and set upon their goal. The leader is a lion allegedly named Mito, codename 'Daddy.' I let the scum go after some painful justice so I could watch where there base is. It is just a few miles northeast of here. I am certain this is a rebellion against the gods!", Uwivu seethed, brooding at his own explanation.
The very thought of the chaos that would ensue in defiance made him claw the ground in frustration. But the ultimate betrayal was that a lion, an animal created and blessed by the gods would turn around and try to overthrow them! Despicable!

Oki listened intently to Uwivu, and as he continued to speak, her face fell from excited to irritated until she was back in her original state: furious and ready to kill something.
"Well I'm not surprised that it showed no respect for you, but disrespect for the gods is unforgivable. You have done well to tell me of this, Uwivu." She began pacing, flexing her claws with each step. "I have to admit that you were clever to leave it alive long enough to find the base, though it would have been better if you killed it when you got there." She growled, "They may already know that we will come for them, and may have moved. Did you consider THAT, fool?"
Oki hissed in irritation. How dare they? How on earth could anyone be so foolish as to think that they could defy the gods and get away with it? This was not going to be pretty, but then again, that's how she liked it.
"We'll have to do something about this, I'm sure even you know that by know." She snapped, "But we can't possibly take on an operation like this on our own. We need reinforcements. If they have child soldiers, that means there are probably breeding pairs, probably several. We'll do no good to the gods if we get ourselves killed by how ever many adults they have, or if we get swarmed by endless babies." She shuddered at the thought. She hated children. They had but one redeeming quality, and that was that they were easily corrupted.
"Any ideas?" She doubted it, but it never hurt to ask. "We'll need a plan to take these heathens on effectively."

The tension was thick, and there was no surprise that Oki had snapped at him. He was used to the verbal abuse. It was inevitable. The only variable was what for. But with the anger in the air, it was trying his patience not to snap furiously back at her. Still with his claws gouging slats in the ground, he growled between his gritted teeth, "If I had killed it when it got to the base, I would have been seen and probably killed. And besides, if they do know, at least they will know that justice will be had."
Uwivu hated how Oki talked down to him, but the strength and fire in her soul is what kept him with her. Although she would like to think that he was a captive follower of hers, he was a strong lion and could leave if he wanted to. But he admired that her mind was similar to his. Many would hear that there may be a war and would hide their women and children. But both of them slapped their fighting faces on and were ready to roll.
"Yes, something must be done. I'm sure that it will break their spirits if we were to take down their precious leader whom they adore so much. But if he is their treasure, surely he is well guarded... I say that we should search the land for recruits that will join our cause. Those who are loyal will obviously join the nobility of this holy war.", Uwivu thought, looking towards the sky in thought. He began to pace as he thought of how many they would need to recruit. There were still lions who follow the gods, weren't there? Some would show their dedication.

"You should have tried, at least." She growled, "Or maybe maimed it badly enough that it wouldn't survive. What ever, nothing can be done about it now." She continued to pace, her head low and her ears flattened against her skull. She had to think of SOMETHING.
"Yes, their leader will have to go first. Just as soon as we have enough forces to mount a full assault, we will target him first and kill him while his followers watch." A slight grin appeared on her face at the thought, but it vanished almost as quickly as it had come. "It's a start." She wondered how many other rogues would truly join them. As much as she liked to think that the gods were revered everywhere, and that there were only a select few who opposed them, she knew that most lions would not join them. If they would, she would have far more followers by now.
"There has to be some other way." She growled, frustrated at her lack of ideas in this matter. "This will take time, no matter what we do." She cursed under her breath, "Time in which their armies are surely growing, their females producing more and more soldiers while we try to recruit the odd lion here or there. By the time we get enough, their first generation of fighters will be grown!" She spat, "We don't have that kind of time..."

Uwivu simply rolled his eyes at her explanation of 'coulda shoulda woulda.' To be honest, he was far too busy worrying about a full scale attack on those whom he worshiped to care if a little doggie got home and was able to cry to its mommy. But he gave up on convincing Oki otherwise. She was far too stubborn in her beliefs to take what her 'underling' said seriously. But if she wasn't going to listen, he might as well get the satisfaction that a good quiet scoff and disbelieving head-shake brought to him.
Uwivu's stomach clenched uncomfortably as Oki spoke more of the child soldiers, as his nether-regions had hatched a plan. But to execute it would require the utmost precision. Most males, when suggesting breeding, had only making their lady blush and freak out or a couple harsh words and them hightailing it out of there. Uwivu, on the other hand, was dealing with possibly the most insane, irrational, and short-fused lioness on the savanna! One word out of place and she would most likely tear out his mane one hair at a time or use his ribs as a scratching post. He didn't know. He was certain that nobody aside from her, knew what she was thinking.
He thought for a few moments on the exact phrasing that he should use for this delicate subject. He mentally noted to avoid anything along the lines of, 'We should have sex because you are one hot chika!' He had to say this as if it were purely strategy and he had no other motivations. Clearing his throat slightly, Uwivu stated sternly, "You say that they probably have mating pairs? This is probably true. And it is also true that by the time we get enough lions by our side, they would have probably grown to unreasonable numbers. Perhaps, along the way, as we pick up more followers, we should have them mate. Young minds are easy enough to mold. We will raise them to follow our blessed lion gods and we can then fight fire with fire!" It sounded good enough to him. He had managed to stay away from any phrase sounding directly similar to, 'You, me, mate. Now.' He then began chewing silently on his tongue in anticipation of her response.

Oki saw him roll his eyes and hissed, but refrained from hurting him, just this once. The situation was too serious to consider injuring one on her side. As much as she hated it, Uwivu was so far her only follower, and she needed his help to recruit more. Two lions could cover more ground than one, after all.
"Have them mate?" She pondered this for a moment. For once, Uwivu had a decent idea. "That might work. It may be hard to convince some of them to do so, but I'm sure a little... Persuasion, could make them." She flexed her claws menacingly. "Yes, that's a good plan, Uwivu. That sounds like exactly what we need."
She sat down and wrapped her tail around her paws thoughtfully, "We should get started right away. We will need as many females as possible. Males as well, but if we can not find others, I suppose you will do." She nodded. If nothing else, Uwivu was strong enough to produce cubs that would be usable in combat. She did not even stop to consider that she would be an excellent place to start their little project.
"That is an excellent start." She nodded, her temper coming down slightly, "Any other ideas?"

It felt like a baby hippo had been removed from his chest when he found out that Oki approved of the idea. Silently, Uwivu was having a party in his brain. She didn't shoot down the idea! She will end up with him after all. This is the best thi-- Wait! Suddenly he began putting the pieces of her response together. She said that they should start finding females, and that he would do if they couldn't find other males... She made it sound like... Oh God! She didn't seem to realize that even with just the two of them, there was a pair to start the process. Now his mind had put away the refreshments and was now desperately searching to the very corners of his noggin to find a simple way to suggest they start.
Well, she had asked if there were any other ideas, and his 'strictly business' tone seemed to be effective. If it isn't broken, don't fix it. So he responded in that same 'military officer simply laying out a plan' sort of voice, saying, "I believe you are right. We should start at once. And unfortunately, as much as I would like to believe that lions would line up to get this chance, some are simply too corrupt or frightened. By the time we can recruit, we'll be even further behind the curve. Perhaps we should start with you. We need as many females to have cubs as we can and the rebellion is surely breeding as we speak!"
'Dear God, dear God! I actually said it?! Oki's going to use my spine as a back-scratcher for sure!' Uwivu wasn't all that frightened of Oki, physically speaking but her nature prevented her from holding back and she's snapped at him for less. He never knew how she was going to react.

Oki scoffed at her apprentice. How could he honestly expect that SHE would bear cubs?
"No, Uwivu, I won't be taking on that role at the moment. We are too few, and we need to focus on finding more for our cause before we go about making me useless and fat." She chuckled slightly. She was feeling rather forgiving at the moment, since he had just come up with a good plan and she could let this one slide. "After all, why cut our recruitment forces in half so soon? No, I'll be assisting with that soon enough, but for now it's more important that I be out looking for more followers."
"That's a good start for today, I think that is all?" She asked, wondering if he had any more ideas. She stood up anyway, ready to leave as soon as he told her that there was no more. She was growing tired of this conversation, and very much wanted to relax for a while.

Uwivu laughed nervously at the notion of Oki being pregnant. She was temperamental and mentally unstable as it was, but adding large doses of maternal instinct (if she had any) and hormones to the mix was a truly terrifying thought. Of course his goal was not to impregnate her, but to have her as his mate.
Though he was comforted by the way Oki had decided to handle his request. On a bad day, she would have probably told him to leave and never return. But today was not one of those days, apparently. She had laughed it off.
As Oki rose, Uwivu knew that basically meant, 'I'm trying to be nice, so, shut up.' As she asked if he had any more ideas, he simply shook his head. He didn't want to push his luck. Oki had given him more patience and forgiveness than could be expected from her in a year.
