[ the one with no talent ] NameVitali NeunesAge---SexMaleSpeciesPenartConvicted ofRuining the Rosa Annual Art DisplayBackgroundVitali originated from the beautiful planet of Rosa. It was a colorful land, washed to the brim with vibrancy as if it were a children's book come to life. Upon Rosa rested a small population, diverse in its talents, but with one sure-fire fact: all of Rosa's inhabitants possessed a talent, the highest of which could be found in the arts.
Vitali was an anomaly, however. Clumsy, twittery, and fairly unorthodox, the young penart appeared to have no talent at all. When he attempted math, he ruined the chalkboards. When he attempted sculpture, he blew up the kiln. When he attempted to paint, he ruined many a carpet, and the list went on in comedic fashion. Nevertheless, Vitali was obsessed with the world of color and art - so much so that, when oppotunity came for someone to take care of the art display for the annual festival, he volunteered. As the only volunteer, he was begrudgingly accepted into the role. Unfortunately, something happened. He had lightly touched one of the paintings within the display, thus scratching the paint and causing it to flake off in an ugly mark. Distraught and panicked, Vitali attempted to fix the painting, only to ruin it and everything around him that had been set aside for the display.
The people of Rosa were so angry that they sent Vitali away, wishing him a colorless life on a planet less vibrant and beautiful than his home.

[ keepers of mine ] NameSimon GreyAgeMiddle-Aged / Older GentSexMaleSpeciesHumanOccupationTherapist Hair ColorBrownEye Color---Skin TonePale; Medium ToneHeightAverageWeightAverage; Slightly PorklyDistinguishing CharacteristicsDisfigured HandBackgroundSimon was raised in a relatively rough neighborhood. It wasn't particularly violent, though it was particularly gritty, dirty, and statistically impoverished. He was the child of an alcoholic father and a seemingly oblivious, if not passive mother. However, Simon does not look on his childhood with any form of ill-will, nor does he appear to look upon his parents with ill-will, though he may be shamed by their actions and ways of life even in adulthood. As a child, Simon was particularly campy and exploratory. He had a tendency to get into mischief, but, more often than not, he was reading books. Science was his favorite subject in school -in particular, science relating to the environment around him. This fascination with scientific studies ultimately led him into a fascination with studying human behavior and how it relates to environments - though this may have also been driven towards a need to analyze his own behaviors and the behaviors of his parents.
As a teenager, Simon's mother, in a fit of frustration and outrage, broke his hand. Simon's hand never healed correctly, in part because he wouldn't allow the proper care for it in the first place. As the result, one of his hands is disfigured and relatively useless, if not completely immobile. His mother inevitably left the family, and his father inevitably weened himself off of alcohol in the realization that it had destroyed the family he had built. Simon developed a close relationship with his father, and eventually left for schooling to become a therapist. His father suffered from a stroke while Simon was away at school, failing to recover.
As an adult, Simon is a relatively successful therapist - however quirky he may be. He contains a fascination for the criminal mind in particular, although it can be said he has a Hollywood-esque approach to analyzing it. When it comes to more practical techniques, he tends to be a talk-therapist, and more or less down to earth without the unnerving taking of notes or analytic of personal behavior (at least in the sense of writing things down while a person his sitting right across from him). He takes his job seriously, even if he may poke fun at it, or act relatively campy about it. Simon's a happy-go-lucky man with his own senses of baggage and strifes - yet he appears to take it in stride.
He adopted Mortimer in partial hope to finally analyze a criminal from a safe developmental angle. However, this backfired when it became clear that Mortimer was not inherently a criminal to begin with. Since this realization, the treatment of Mortimer as a test-subject has ended and a more equal, if not budding friendship has developed between the two --- one in which Simon assists Mortimer, but does not make commands of him. Such turns of events, perhaps, opened Simon's mind to his own obsessive quirks and awkward, if not unusually unsettling, habits of human analysis.
After this transition in dynamics, he found himself caring for yet another victim of the intergalactic criminal system's remains: dubbed Matches.

[ keepers of mine ] NameMortimer GreyPet NamesMort, MortyAgeTeenagerSexMaleSpeciesBeastieCare-TakerSimon GreyHair ColorBlondEye ColorDark BlueSkin TonePale; Medium GradeHeightVery TallWeightSlenderDistinguishing CharacteristicsGimpy Wing Goat LegsBackgroundAfter having been banished from Ericous as Andre, Mortimer landed in the back of Archie Saturn's yard, where he was adopted by Simon Grey. Simon had taken on the endeavor in high hopes of analyzing the mind of a criminal - this leading to an awkward relationship and start for Mortimer's new life within a new body and a new identity. For the entire duration of his childhood, Mortimer was confined to an isolationist state, with very few outings enjoyed. Mute since his arrival, he was unable to protest Simon's relentless studies of his behaviors, and, as the result, spent much of his time trying to avoid the man. In fact, he viewed him as a prison guard, and an evil man who prevented him from his one true desire: to be alone and allowed to greive his sudden loss of home, identity, and love.
As a child, in a fit of rage, Mortimer took a toy pop gun and approached Archie Saturn's home, threatening Archie with it in his first fit of real spoken word. He found his voice, at last, and was able to express his anger, outrage, and grief - which ultimately led to Simon's role as a therapist for Mortimer --- after all, that was Simon's true profession. Mortimer inevitably worked through his grief and found comfort in his new identity as Mortimer, permitting Andre to die as nothing more than a memory.
As a teenager, Mortimer took up a job at a ranch outside of town due to his fascination with cowboys and the old west. While not similar to the movies, he appears to take pleasure in caring for the animals and tending to tasks on occasion when it comes to the upkeep. He appears mildly adjusted to his new life and hobbies, although his social skills and his connective ability to people seems developmentally stunted. However, his active interest in social pursuits has led him in a direction of community activities. In his leisure time, Mortimer likes recreational 'kung-fu', or incredibly 'fake' martial arts that's more of a dance and game than serious attempt to learn a cultural activity.
