The pavement seemed to fall beneath her feet as the young hybrid danced down the street. Pulsating music made her float through the crowd, her eyes squeezed tight as though in concentration...even if she wasn't really thinking of anything. More often then not recently she had given away to music, to the throb of sound that game from the small electronic that her uncle Tempo had gifted her for her birthday. Her hips swayed to every pulse that made her heart beat faster.
But of course the Plaza during the lunch hour was not a time that she should be fooling around in such a manner. Humans ignored her, missing the cat by inches letting out strings of curses at the small feline, but the other toms that had been noticing her more often, they sat and watched. Huge smirks on their faces. Ae was oblivious, it was part of her charm, but It seemed like something that would bite her on the a** later.
---
The Plaza, what a strange place to deal with for the most part. Humans were all over the place, noises and smells overfilled the place it seemed like a great wall of noise just trying to attack others. His unruly curls were even more unruly than usual and Seven sat atop a short cement fence, watching with a mix of interest and boredom that was going on all around him. How strange were these humans and their behaviors and how even more strange were the cats that actually got into the melee of it all. One female in particular caught his interest and he watched with a faded smile on his face, she was spinning and dancing around, looked to be pretty close to his age too. Humans were nearly stepping on her and still she twirled…. Did she not realize how close to danger she was coming? Finally he couldn’t take it anymore and he called out, “Miss, you’re going to get hurt!”
---
The sun beat heavily on her back, making the black cloth cling to her form as she moved. Dance to Ae wasn't just something she enjoyed... it was a release, so it wasn't really a surprise when she was so far into her head that the sound of another cat mixed with her music drew very little attention. She opened one eye, almost lazily, as though she had been sleeping and looked at him. She moved in his direction, head cocked and eyebrow raising questioningly. What was this? The hybrid stopped a few feet away, reaching up and moving her old fashioned headphones so that one ear was uncovered, the other sill distracted by the music.
"Didn't quite catch that. Were you by chance speaking to me?" Her gaze drifted from his feet to his head, her curiosity building... she had met someone else dressed similarly to him... but... oh yes. Cobalt. The name made her laugh, what a stick in the mud! Mentally she shrugged, sill curious... were all men that dressed in that fashion as outlandish as the handsome grey man she had met? She could only hope not.
---
Had he been talking to her? Who else had been in danger of getting stomped on? One eyebrow raised, a bit cocky and utterly male even from his young age and Seven nodded, patting the wall not that far away from him. It was rude to sit when a lady was standing so he figured he might as well just get her to sit. That way she’d be out of harm’s way too. “I am Seven. Pleased to make your acquaintance and yes, I was speaking to you.” He gave a half bow which was a bit awkward since he was already sitting down, but that was okay. He’d deal with that later by practicing up on his half bows.
---
Ae flashed him a smile. So she was right to assume that most men that dress like gentlemen really were cocky, cynical and snood. "I'm Ae, Hyun-Ae, but just Ae please." She smiled and brushed her bangs from her face. She arched her eyebrow once more "Well thank you for introducing yourself but you do realize don't you that when one calls out to someone that is on a set path, that it could lead to the other persons danger right?" HyunAe smirked to herself and pulled out her electronic device, flipping through the songs until she came upon one that was relentlessly cheery. Even if -technically- it was a sad song. She quietly hummed along to "Heartbreak on Vinel" and closed her eyes once more, her other ear perked forward for the others no doubt witty response.
---
Seven didn’t feel particularly witty right now, this girl was really weird. Not that he could actually say that to her, no she’d get her panties up in a bunch real quick if he called here weird. Sometimes he wished he could say the things that went through his head but that wouldn’t be very nice so he’d just have to deal with thinking all sorts of sarcastic things. He sighed softly, very softly in fact and went back to just looking at her. She was pretty, of course, most girls were, but was she all there in the head? He was starting to lean towards not, but that’d be a bit of a rash decision. “Mm… I suppose so, but you didn’t seem to see the danger on the path that you were heading down so heedlessly Miss Ae.”
---
She flat out laughed. "Your so weird! Don't you ever just go out into the world and decide "today im going to be just a bit reckless to change that boring every day schedule that our lives fall into so often? You. Mr. Seven, need to chill out, relax, smell the roses and have a bit of adventure in your life while you do so!" The girl looked at him once more, the smile still on her face, before an idea literarily flew into her head. Oh yes, that would be precious. Ae jumped off the wall, pulling the headphones completely off to hang around her neck. Her eyes ablaze with some fascination that was unexplainable.
"common."
---
Had she just called him common? Now name-calling was just not going to do for him. He had listened to being called weird and told to loosen up and that had been all well and good, he’d heard all of that before especially from Rowan.. but for this slip of a girl to call him common? How dare she! He wasn’t common, his breeding was just as good as anybody else’s if not better. It was rude to assume his was better so he’d just have to settle for it being as good as others. Wait… had he hard her wrong? He wasn’t common to her.. She wanted him to follow her. Oh dear god, into the melle out there? He’d be insane to do so… and yet Seven couldn’t resist. He gracefully came down off of the wall and then looked at her, “What now Miss Ae?”
---
Ae linked her arm in his, tugging him in the direction of the outskirts of the plaza. Her eyes were glittering and a smile had formed on her lips. But oh the way he looked at her a few seconds ago! It was like acid peeling paint... it made her giddy. He could actually show emotion! THERE was something she could work with. "Its a secret!~"
The Femme practically bounced on her toes, the soles of her feet off of the ground as they walked. It would be so entertaining! And for once she was missing her camera. 'Twas a pity. She shook herself and looked around, her green eyes scanning the area. Ah. there. Her other arm reached out and pointed, a smirk replacing the smile she had previously had.
The large sign pulsed against the afternoon light, lit even though it was not night. Karaoke.
"that is unless your too afraid." The smirk grew on her face into practically a grin. 'twas fun to get some people out of their comfort zones a bit.
---
Seven’s expression was of tolerant amusement, it wouldn’t hurt him to entertain the female so long as she didn’t expect him to do something fully wretched. He had met a nasty tempered male that had wanted him to egg on a dog. Sure, he hated dogs too for the most part but why be deliberately hateful when the stupid animal had had no way to get even for the behavior? His mind had wandered off entirely and when he focused his eyes again he was staring at a Karaoke sign. Oh for the love of god. Did she really expect him to get up there and sing like some sort of idiot boy? He turned to her, gauging her expression and hearing the challenge in her words. Of course he wasn’t afraid of the machine or of singing, but it was such untowards behavior that could give him a bad name. Thinking through the songs that he knew Seven decided on one that he’d sing if and only if he actually had to get up and do a song. “Oh.. Afraid Miss Ae, I’m not.. but this does not seem like a behavior that any lady or gentleman would partake in, it’s so wholly public.”
---
She chuckled, looking up at him through her eyelashes "well we could do it out of public, but Ladies and Gentlemen that just met usually don't do that on the first date." Ae pursed her lips smiling to herself. "we could get a private room. Or limit the amount of people that enter it." Yes... hadnt her parents once? when they were young... she knew this story. But then... that was before all of the domestic hell had broken loose.
Ae turned her face at the thought, willing him not to see the pain clearly written there. Her parents were splitting up, she knew it but... god it was hard to comprehend. She gave a soft smile, Jae seemed oblivious, but... she really had no way to tell. Shaking her head Ae turned to Seven and offered him a reassuring smile. "I wont laugh, pinky promise."
---
Oh that was just going to be the last straw! Her promising him that she wouldn’t laugh at him? He had a pure voice and since birth he’d had a low voice. Most boys his age were highpitched and nearly sopranos whereas he had always had a tenor, that seemed to get a bit deeper every day. Puberty was coming he supposed. How strange that would be. His ears were pinned back with a mixture of irritation and shyness. Parlor room singing was one thing, but from here any that chose to stop would be able to hear him. The annoyances never ceased to amaze him.
Standing formally in front of Ae, he cleared his voice and began to sing, eyes on the ground
“There’s a long black train comin’ down the line
Feeding off the souls that are lost and crying
Rails of sin only evil remains
Watch out brother for the long black train.
Watch out brother for the long black train.
Look to the heavens you can look to the sky
You can find redemption starin’ back into your eyes
There is protection and there’s…
Burnin’ your ticket for your long black train
Look to the heavens you can look to the sky

There is protection and there’s…
Burnin’ your ticket for your long black train
‘cuz there’s victory in the lord I say
Victory in the lord
Cling to the father and his holy name
And don’t go ridin on that long black train.
There’s an engineer on that long black train
Makin’ you wonder if the ride is worth the pain
He is just a waitin’ on your heart to say
Let me ride on that long black train
But you know there’s victory in the lord I say
Victory in the lord
Cling to the father and his holy name
And don’t ridin’ on that long black train.”
Seven continued on the song, his voice steady and slightly twangy. It was a strange turnabout from his usual stiff composure, but perhaps his singing gave away a bit of his past? When the last note strained in the air, Seven stepped back over to Ae and smirked a bit, "Happy?"
[[.]]
---
Ae settled into the leather booth, close by her eyes closed, lips tight in order to not let out the giggle that threatened. It wasn't because he was bad... just... odd, not what she was expecting odd. When he finished she opened her eyes, finally letting her lips curve into a smile. "and here you were afraid. Whats wrong with you?" She listened as another sang, her head cocked ears flicking from side to side. He really wasn't that great, well not compared to the stud next to her. When the microphone was offered the girl basically jumped out of her seat, and wandered to the microphone and small stage in the corner. Her song was one that wasn't too popular in Japan, but her former master had a unhealthy interest in French.
Her voice was low, a alto ironically, though her range was anywhere between a low alto to a high soprano (the glory of having classes right next door). She began softly, her green eyes locking with Seven's, a slow smile forming on her lips.
[[.][.]]
---
Seven’s eyes remained locked on the girl as she sang, a surprisingly beautiful French song. The melody of it was haunting and her voice matched it perfectly. His eyes began to drift shut, enjoying the music entirely and letting out the somewhat rift-rafty place they were in fade away to nothing. Other patrons seemed to be shifting about as if they weren’t huge fans of the choice, but what did they know?
When she was done, Seven stood up and bowed, his eyes glowing with surprise and delight, “You have outdone me Miss Ae, my ego will be sore for a week.”
---
Ae's eyes sparkled with delight as the microphone was removed from her hands. She clapped them once. "oh you enjoyed it then! I was hoping so. My twin thought I was insane when I took up French, But it's such a lovely language, and im almost completely fluent in it." She took her seat, but not before ordering them something to drink and munch on. Might as well enjoy the place while they were there. "you were wonderful though, abit shy I'll admit, but wonderful none the less. You made me nervous going out there alone."
Lightly she pressed her elbows into the table, watching him intently. It was so difficult to understand what he was thinking... Cobalt was at least a bit more accessible, but then... Ae usually figured out others pretty easily. "what are you thinking Seven?" She asked quietly when the appetizers and drinks arrived.
---
Seven jolted in surprise at the question, she wanted to know what he was thinking? He was rather curious himself as to what was going on in his head… The truth of the matter was that for the first time in quite awhile he hadn’t really been thinking at all. A dangerous past time since he prided himself so on being in control and careful in all situations. It’s what made him able to act with such proper behavior at all times. “You know Miss Ae.. I’m not really thinking anything at all right now, and I’ve a feeling that if you had known me longer you would see what a strange thing that is for me.” Was he supposed to be thinking? “It’s rude to ask a lady her thoughts, but in this situation I’ve a feeling it’s all right to wonder what exactly you are thinking?”
---
Ae flushed a pretty shade of pink, nodded her thanks to the waitress and focused on her drink. All in order not to seem like she was staring at him. She lifted a hand and brushed a stray lock of hair from her forehead, while trying to phrase the sentence into her mind correctly. "I... well if you knew me better you would know that my thoughts are often random, and rarely provoked... but right when you asked that, I was thinking..." She cleared her throat and looked down, her face turning from a blush pink to a more forceful red. "How beautiful your eyes are." Ae bit her cheek and took a gulp of her drink before she could say anything else...
how much more awkward would THAT be?
---
Seven blinked in utter confusion, his eyes? Wasn’t that what he was supposed to say to her? “I think Miss Ae, that you and I need more fresh air or we’re going to become quite insane in what we do and say, do you not agree?” He had drank about half of his drink and he finished it off without much smoothness or finesse before reaching for her hand, planning to help escort her out of this place. Seven would definitely not be coming back for karaoke anytime soon, it made his head feel weird and he was too young to be losing his mind like this.
---
She bit her lip, almost refusing to meet his gaze at the moment. What the hell was wrong with her? Ae noticed his hand and nearly rocked back in her chair, but took it with as much grace as she could muster under the circumstances. What.the.hell.was.wrong.with.her? Ae stared at the ground, unsure of what to say under the circumstances. She left her drink half finished on the table and made her way out the font door. "I'm sorry if I said something wrong." She said softly. "I often speak without thinking through what is ... appropriate in the situation."
Clearing her throat Ae looked around, a small smile on her lips. "how bout this, you walk me home, and if by chance you want to see me again you can find me there."
---
Seven tipped up her face and pushed an entirely innocent kiss to her forehead and smiled a bit, "I'll walk you home and that way I'll know where to come calling at. I'm sure we'll be seeing each other again Miss Ae, and you did nothing wrong." Turns and offers his arm to her to take so he can have a pleasant stroll home with the girl by his side. He wasn't too sure what he was going to call home tonight, but here pretty soon he was going to have to try to find a permanate and comfortable home for himself so he could have friends of his own to come a visiting.
---
Ae gave him a smile, linking her arm in his and leading him in the direction of the ruins. "I hope you do come back sometime. I had fun, it was interesting seeing you loosen up." She rested her head on his shoulder and strode along closing her eyes and moving on auto. She softly hummed the French song she sung feeling the fist cool breezes of twilight brush up the fine hairs on the back of her neck. It had indeed been a lovely night.
---
Seven smiled and once she stopped striding quite as forcefully he set a more sedate pace, also taking a bit of the lead even though he wasn't too sure where they were going. It had been an interesting day, she was one of the most pleasant he had met in this place. Once he got to where they were going, he guessed it because she stopped Seven turned and bowed to her, "Until we meet again Miss Ae." and strode off into the dusk. A lovely night indeed.
