It was a strange occurrence that Giselle Petrova did not have an assignment due on Monday morning. Of course, when she did, it was always done before the weekend even began, but that was not the point. She’d gone home for the weekend, which was not unusual. After all, she needed to stock up on her supplies, you would not believe the rate she went through red pens, and while not one of her concerns, a home-cooked meal was not unwelcome. After all, sometimes it was a little difficult to remember to schedule time to eat when there was schoolwork to see to.
However, making lists, reorganizing her room and reviewing the report she’d written for Tuesday could only take up so much time. That only meant one thing. Giselle was presented with the opportunity to indulge in her computer habits for hours on end, and yet. She wanted something a little different. Age of Empires was all well and good, but there were some expansion packs she wanted to try. It never hurt to broaden her horizons.
Shortly after lunch, Giselle put on her raincoat and opened her umbrella, not at all daunted by the chilly rain as she made her way to the nearest computer store. It seemed to be rather deserted as she opened the door and stepped inside, closing the umbrella, but she wasn’t terribly shocked. With no time to waste (after all, after dinner was documentary time with her father), the blond approached a young man rifling through a shelf full of various computer parts.
“Excuse me,” she intoned, assuming he must be part of the staff, “where do you keep the software?”

"The fourth aisle down." He glanced at Giselle, but made no comment to believe that he was anything other than a staff member. He turned around to leave, leading Giselle to believe that she should follow him.
It took only a couple of minutes to navigate the store, and they were close enough to the software section. Seth stopped in front of the display. An employee, who had been stationed there called out with an enthusiastic, "Hi there! Do you need any help?" A male in a dark blue shirt, with a pen behind his head and a staff tag around his neck approached the both of them. His name tag read "Hi, my name is Joe."
"No." Seth shook his head, tilted his head back to glance at the blond female, the salesperson looking expectantly at her to see if she would inquire help? At this point, Seth fully turned, revealing that he wasn't a staff member as the female had originally thought. Instead, he was an ordinary customer. Today, he was dressed in a black dress shirt, and a carelessly tossed on jacket to accommodate the weather. But he didn't look particularly put out or anything, leaning against a wall of merchandise. In fact, if the employee hadn't come, she wouldn't have known anything at all about his not being a staff member!

While more than capable of counting aisles herself, it would have been rude to dismiss the man so quickly after asking for his assistance. There was always the possibility she would need him to retrieve the game from the back of the store, so follow Seth Giselle did, her umbrella tucked closely under her arm as she was lead to the appropriate aisle. The young woman was just about to thank him when an over-enthusiastic employee greeted the pair.
Narrowing her bright blue eyes, she dismissed Joe with a slight inclination of her head. "We are fine," she tacked onto Seth's refusal for assistance. How very peculiar. Waiting for the staff member to retreat back to his little island of customer service, she fixed her sharp gaze back onto the stranger and promptly extended her hand. "Giselle Petrova," she introduced herself, clearly expecting a name in return. "I apologize for taking you for as an employee."
That didn't explain why he allowed her to continue to believe in his mistaken identity, however. "I am to assume you spend a lot of time in this store. Does this happen often?" Perhaps a harmless inquiry, but Giselle had a goal in mind now, beyond acquiring a new game from her computer.

"Seth Eintetta." He took her hand for a brief moment, shaking it before letting go.
In response to her question, he merely quirked what resembled an ironic smile but it wasn't really a smile if you defined it by other people. ".. Not too often." Seth didn't seem too concerned with his mistake, or even her apology. Or the fact that he hadn't revealed who he actually was, and letting himself be mistaken as an employee. The answer was simple really. It didn't matter who he was.
But instead of explaining or even elaborating a bit, he seemed to eye the merchandise around them, wondering if any of his software needed to be updated as well. He had updated his drivers, and hardware recently, but software had been something he had yet to finish. If there was anything new, he should at least look over it. "Any particular software that you like?" He asked towards Giselle.

Ah. This man was little more than complete enigma. Not impress, though not actually surprised by his complete lack of ability to offer any information, Giselle would have to settle with his name, for now. It was unlikely, really, that she would come across the man again. After all, even if he was her age, she went to an all girl’s academy.
What was beyond her immediate comprehension, however, was why Seth was continue to offer assistance. He’d even gone so far as to dismiss the employee, when it would have been far easier to transfer her to Joe’s care. Honing in on the youth with nothing short of an analytical, calculated gaze, she shook her head, a stray strand of blond falling loose from her bun and falling in her face.
“I had intended to compare once I saw the selection,” she replied. “I was looking to purchase an expansion pack for Age of Empires, however. I do not suppose you play?” Raising her eyebrows, she spared Seth one last glance before she began a search of the cases. Surely Age of Empires expansion packs should be in the A section. The teenager frowned when her quest came up short. They couldn’t really not have it in stock, could they?

The older male didn't seem perturbed by her intense gaze, and merely listened.
"No." Professional software was more up his alley then game software. Seth had never been the type to be absorbed in computer-oriented games, and it was likely that he would never be. But while he didn't play it, it didn't mean that he wasn't open to it.
He glanced at the lower section of the alphabet, not looking for anything in particular. As silence passed between the two, Seth assuming that it wasn't in the A Section. And it actually wasn't. It appeared that not everybody had Giselle's orderly and precise matter. "Do you mean this?" He pulled out a certain box from the O section, called 'The Age of Empires Expansion: The Rise of Rome'. It appeared to have been shoved in there, by a careless person who didn't have time to be organized.

Giselle had to give Seth kudos for not flinching under such a cold stare.
Still, it didn't explain his motives, at all, and the blond was not going to stand for that. He clearly wasn't going to open up and talk (and while naturally she appreciated this sort of disposition, she couldn't help but find herself slightly irritated it was so difficult to extract information from him). It was going to be a game of strategy, then. It was a good thing Giselle Petrova enjoyed a good mental conquest, wasn't it?
"Yes. Thank you," she replied, taking the shiny box and inspecting the back. Rome, hmm. Not exactly the one she was looking for, but an expansion pack, nevertheless. "Are there any others stashed over in the inappropriate section? Honestly, I could see it falling under R, perhaps, but O?" She shook her head, not needing to say anything else to express her extreme distaste for those who allowed their poor managerial skills to effect others.
Recalling their early conversation, she inquired, "Not a computer game person, then?" as she began picking through the first half of the alphabet. If The Rise of Rome was in the O section, the other expansions could be anywhere. It was almost like a treasure hunt.
How quaint.

"I'm guessing they failed kindergarten the first time around." Seth commented on their failure to distinguish between the order of which R and O came in. And while everyone was entitled to their own failures, there was something to be said when the person being affected was Seth.
He kneeled down to observe the Z section, but tilted his gaze upwards at Giselle's question. "No." Not to say that he had been pretending interest when he asked initially what she was interested in. But just because he didn't play them for the moment, didn't mean that he wouldn't be open to it in the future.
"And you are?" He was referring to her being a computer gamer, judging from her obvious interest in the expansion pack. Seth's finger settled on another box, silver this time, as he leaned it out to observe the title. It was another miss. Unfortunately, he wasn't quite as fond as something meaningless as a treasure hunt, if the right person had just organized it correctly in the first place. He could only blame their ineptitude.

With Seth scouring the end of the row, the Crystal student decided to pick through the middle, working on obscure letters such as K and Q. Giselle glanced over as the older youth replied, holding him with her steady blue gaze before he returned to the task of the seemingly wild goose chase.
"I would not classify myself as a gamer," she explained, plucking out a golden box only to put it right back where she found it. "I just enjoy this particular franchise. I also enjoy games with a living opponent, like Risk." The blond paused, pursing her lips thoughtfully. "What do you do with your computer, if not game?" It was true most boys her age were far more interested in playing games online than doing their homework; she found it odd Seth would be so knowledgeable without any actual interest.
It didn't take long for the efficient young woman to reach the end of her section and she turned to Seth with a hand on her hip. "It would appear I have exhausted my resources. Did you have any better luck?"

Well, her choice of games consisted of more than mindless participation. That, Seth had to appreciate in the young crystal girl, his gray eyes warming up to her. Well, not very much. But considering the older male's earlier interactions, it was an improvement. You couldn't consider Seth a very normal or sociable person, so according to his standards, it was pretty good.
That might have led to him answering with a bit more information then before to her question. "I'm more interested in how computers work." Seth straightened up, finding his search in his particular letter section to be as unsuccessful as Giselle had been. But he wasn't discouraged, merely moving onto the next letter. In the process of doing so, he continued their conversation as well, surprisingly revealing more information. "I major in computer science." Computer science covered a vast field. But at the core, it was how computers, and similarly programs, operated. That would explain his knowledge on the subject.
He was crouching, his elbows resting on his knees when Giselle asked about his endeavor. He tilted his head upwards to glance at her, and replied, "No."
"Would you rather look somewhere else? Another store?" If Giselle was really interested in the game, the older male would help her.
(I'd like to apologize for the wait ;; I realize I am a very slow rp'er, agh D:! )
