The Family Father : Volium (owned by Annchen) Mother : Aurora (owned by Tudora) The left Basket is owned by Annchen The right Basket is owned by Tudora The center basket... is the one in this contest The Current SituationAurora, being afraid of two-leggers, had lived most of her adult life as a hermit due to her increasing avoidance of the Kawani village and its surrounding areas. She eventually met a stallion named Volium, and they had a brief relationship, but he left before either of them knew she was pregnant. ((He is, therefore, unaware that he is a father.)) When Aurora discovered she was going to have foals, she realized it would be safer for them if they were closer to those of their own kind. She decided to move closer to the Kawani village before the baskets arrived so that she could raise them nearer to other soquili.

As for the name, I lived in Alaska for 4 yrs and saw the northern lights(Aurora borealis) many times. That basket reminds me of it plus I like the play with the mother's name. smile
