I have a theory that evolution is constantly descriminated against in order for the religious right to integrate itself into the US government.

Even though I am a very religious person, I openly accept the idea of evolution. God said that he created the world in 6 days, but it could be that it was in his time 6 days, but certainly not in our time 6 days. 3nodding

Hmmm, but it is pretty much right. Fruiting trees did come after the arrival of land animals, WAAAAAY after. Like, 20 million years ago after. It is funny how it mentioned monsters. You can only think 'dinosaurs'.

Dude, give it a rest. The bible is full of stories, stories that teach us how to be better human beings. You don't have to be a Christian to read the bible and maybe take a few lessons from it. It is only the first few sentences of Genesis that gets people to go "This entire thing is BS!", when really there are historical evidence that supports events that have taken place in the past.

Then there is Revelations. I believe that we are right in the middle of the Apocalypse, because there are things in the past that support it, particularly within the last century and this one. Whoever had that vision saw all the events at once, but I don't think he could tell how much time it took for all the events to take place.

Just food for thought for your Atheism.

Oh ya, there is one little problem with stating that your an Atheist. If you are an Atheist, you are denying EVERYTHING supernatural, thus this includes the spirit. Are you saying that there is no such thing as a soul?

To get my point across, please do not call yourself Atheist if you have belief in supernatural things. There is another word for such beliefs.

And I'm sorry for stabbing you like that. xp

I think Christianity is tied to government because men who don't believe in God and hell are more easily swayed from doing what is right. They can be bought out and they can shrug off their oaths. That being said, I know we don't need religion to be good people. I pride myself on being more ethically correct (including following the 10 commandments) than most Christians are. I don't do it out of fear, I do it for my soul's conscious.

Congratz, you have succeeded to confuse me for the first time. neutral

Um, okay sometimes this helps me with my confusion. You believe that the government is tied to Christianity, but those who are easily swayed from doing what is right. Okay, that helped.

And I know plenty of good people that don't have a religion. I just have to be careful to not to mention the word around them.

But then there are some people I know that don't have a religion, and are extremely unhappy. I try to get them to come to my youth group, which is my little pocket of joy in a world that seems so dark. Is is wrong to have some hope instead of being like "Blargh, were all going to die" all the time?

Perhaps I think too much. My mom just said that to me earlier.

Human evolution is the most studied and conclusive field of evolution.

The Bible has historical accuracy from Abraham to the death of Jesus. Anything after that is unverified. And as it said, light would have came just after the beginning, not on the third day. Sea creatures came before plants as opposed to the bible's claim, Stars came before the earth as opposed to the bible. There are many things wrong with the order. Not to mention that the flood is one big pile of incorrect.

look if i believe correctly we actually were created by the evolution from monkeys to cavemen and then even to this state of being complete smart human beings trying to get my point across did you ever think of that?

My thoughts on evolution are kind of.. odd. I think that humans as we think of them now evolved on Earth, but didn't start here. I think that we came from another planet either to colonize or because they couldn't live on their world anymore, and they settled here. They looked like the humans fossils that you find in museums from about 9000-or so years ago. And after living her for a long time they evolved more, and look like this smile
Just my idea. I could be totally off.

How can you say that?? SoooOoOOoooOoooo many different mythologies talk about the great flood (not just in the middle eastern region, but all around the world). And there are sunken cities deep on the ocean floor (in several places around the world) that history has no record of even existing.
