Mahdi was moving at a brisk pace. She wasn't in any real hurry, just enjoying moving the the sake of moving. It was early spring. The ground was soft with new grass and all around flowers were just beginning to bud. Up in a tree a robin sung it's salute to the morning. Not far off a second answered.
She smiled and came to a stop, eyes scanning the trees for the second bird. Her father had always joked that it wasn't really spring until you'd spotted two robins.

Astrophel flapped his wings happily, in the sky. The spring weather meant smoother flying, something he was grateful for. The sun was warming the area up too, and clear night skies would be abound. It had been a while since that dream had come. And now it had moved to the back of his mind. Looking down he could see other horses frolicking about in the fields. With the wind howling in his ears, he would bring himself down, closer to the ground, before slowing, and landing. The mist around his hair reformed, and his jeweled wings stretched out. It was nice to hear the sound of birds...

Staring up through the trees Mahdi caught sight of wind type gliding down for a landing. No, the thought immediately came across as strange to her. It had too many wings.
One last glance back at the tree where she suspected the second robin was nesting then she started off again, heading toward where the other angeni had landed. It was a spontaneous choice. Made for no reason besides whimsy and perhaps a latent desire for some company.

Astrophel stood, and closed his eyes, taking in the gentle breeze, and even the sunlight. But it wasn't far off he noticed the sound of someone coming. It was to be expected, since it was such a lovely day out. he lowered his head and looked in the direction of the sound. Letting his eyes open.

Mahdi made no attempt to conceal her approach.
"Hello there! Is it a good day for flying?" she asked, glancing up at the sky. The stallion didn't seem familiar too her at all. She walked too many dreams for one to stand out above the others for long.

Astrophel blinked at her. What an odd question to ask, did she not fly? But regardless, he smiled at her and nodded. "Yes, fair and smooth. " She was darkly colored with start adorning her. And as she got closer, the breeze swept her scent to his nose. "First... Day in a long time."

"Indeed," she said with a cool smile. "The winds of early spring are too often turbulent. With your recommendation though, I think I'll take a flight before night falls."

Astrophel looked at her, and smiled. "A dusk flight does sound rather wonderful." It would be nice and cool, not to mention the great view. As she drew closer, he couldn't help but feel like they had met before, but he could count the number of Angeni he's met before, and she wasn't on the list. "Are you from around here?"

She shook her head no, "I'm a wanderer, by nature and I'm far from home... If it could be said that I still have a home." The idea of having no place to call home didn't seem to bother her in the least.
"My name is Mahdi," the dreamwalker. "And what about you? Do you hail from near here?"

"I was raised as a foal over at a river in that direction, and it's Astrophel." He nodded his head. "So I know the area pretty well but now I reside up in the heavens." So they certainly couldn't have met. But it felt like they had, she felt like that presence in his dream. "What is, you're domain?"

"Dreams," she replied matter of factually. "You reside in the heavens? I can't remember the last time I traveled that way. There are so many wonders here on earth." And in the dream realm. She was certain she would be content to travel through those lands for an eternity.

Astrophel looked at her. "You've walked my dreams before." Maybe thats where. The more he thought about the two legger in the dream, and this mare. "In you're spirit form." It was strange to meet her, because of what she had seen... But at the same time, it was a relief that another had seen it.

"Have I?" she tilted her head a little a sly smile showing through loose strands of hair. "I've walked many dreams and it's rare that I recognize anyone in the waking world. I see their dreams as they do, but they are often not themselves and rarely do they see me. I've recognized a few but... never has a dreamer recognized me."

"You don't look like what I saw, but... You have the same presence as the spirit that took me in her arms." He looked at her. But Astrophel wasn't aggressive, he couldn't make her understand or see. But every fiber of his being knew it was her.

She hesitated for a long moment, "Odd, that isn't something I normally do. Is there any chance you remember your dream?" It was something she only did when she was in the most difficult of situations. The last time... Well the last time that had happened it had been with that young foal! But that wasn't this stallion... was it?
