Hey guys! i just wanted to see if i could get any tips on how to make this deck better/more consistent, while not adding too much money to it (i'm kinda bankrupt) any ideas for budget cards that would help it along? If so, what should i take out for them? Any sideboard ideas? Any help would be greatly appreciated, though try to keep my less-than-ideal pocketbook size in mind. Here's my decklist, it's a U/B aggro/ninja deck. I'm having surprisingly few mana issues, though it could use a little smoothing.
11 Island 10 Swamp 1 Minamo, School at Water's Edge 1 Tomb of Urami Creatures 4 Ornithopter 3 Ravenous Rats 3 Dimir Infiltrator 3 Nezumi Cutthroat 1 Dimir Guildmage (it'd probably be 2, but this is my only copy) 2 Nezumi Shortfang (these, i ripped from boosters a while back when i won a couple drafts, i keep them main because i'm expecting control decks and maybe some slower decks) 4 Ninja of the Deep Hours 3 Okiba-Gang Shinobi 2 Throat Slitter 3 Meloku the Clouded Mirror (haha, luckiness at opining boosters...) Spells 1 Pithing Needle (heh...i rare-drafted this, not even knowing that someday it'd be worth as much as ravager was...) 2 Sensei's Divining Top (i think i need this to make sure i have a steady flow of threats...always having a ninja ready is invaluable, i think) 3 Mana Leak (maybe edicts once i get them at the shop?? i don't know...keeping 2 mana open seems contradictory to the deck's philosophy) 3 Last Gasp (i want 4. I NEED 4. ...i have 3.... and what should i take out for the fourth if they have any left at the shop?)
I'm preparing for a tourney in a couple weeks. It's only a small thing, but i wanna do as well as i can. I'm expecting some counter-heavy decks and probably a greater good deck. any ideas? Nezumi Graverobber or Shred memory?
Also, who else thinks there should be a subforum topic for general decklists instead of just combo decks? I think it'd be cool to have a subforum where people could go to share and improve their decks (and earn gold while doing it!)
Yep, so any help would be appreciated! thanks!

(when you get it) Replace one of your Okiba-gang Shinobi with your 4th last gasp.
If you've got three Dimir Infiltrators, then you have no need for Shred Memory.
But, if you're looking for something to replace mana leak, might I suggest Sage Owl or maybe even Hand of Cruelty?
Both cost 2. Sage owl lets you look at 4 cards and rearrange them when it comes into play. Plus it has flying.
Hand of Cruelty is a black 2/2 with protection from white and bushido 1. It's a very nasty card, very devastating to white decks. It's something you might want in your side board (Unless you use your Dimir Infiltrators more for their transmute ability rather than having an unblockable 1/3)
That's my Speil on yer deck. Hopefully it helps.

Hmm...i'd prefer not to replace the shinobi with the last gasp, but i might end up doing that...it's just that he wrecks counter decks, and i'll be facing a few of those for sure. I suggested Shred Memory not for the transmute, but for it's actual use. I might need to be able to remove stuff in the grave at instant speed, to stop goryo's vengeance or gifts tech, but i'll keep that in the sideboard, of course. I like sage owl though...he'll help to smooth out the draws and ninjutsu out some stuff. Now hand of cruelty...i LOVE that card...but it costs double black, right? in this deck, i can't really reliably get double black mana when i need it.
One thing i've noticed when playing with this deck though is that it kinda runs low on strong win conditions...if i draw meloku, the game's a breeze, but if it's killed or if i don't find it, things get tough... Do you think i should work Moroii or something into the deck to add another big finisher?

Sage Owl isn't type 2, is it? I assume that's what you're going for, I think you said it was a FNM. I actually just got back from a FNM a couple hours ago. I ran blue/red counter/burn and got totally run over by fast white creatures and locked down by mono-blue control. There were some mid-grade Golgari decks and one or two other blue/x almost-control decks.
I'd probably see if I could turn up a couple Dimir Aqueducts, but I like them, I use them anywhere they make any sense whatsoever. I like Neketrall for ninjas, even though he's a little mana-heavy. I'm also not overwhelmingly fond of Ornithopter, but he's for sure the cheapest. Plague Beetle, Surveiling Sprite, Storm Crow, Grayscaled Gharial and quite a few of the Soratami have evasion. Golgari Thug is cheap graveyard manipulation. I really love Mistblade Shinobi, but I understand that he's not all that great. The Guildmage seems really mana-heavy to me, does he work well? If it does, I'd probably rather run that than the tops. The tops just kind of rearrange, they don't draw. Shortfang=really really good. Have you considered something like Peel from Reality or Boomerang? I've had good luck with it in ninjas, but I tend to run either mono-blue or mono-black, so I've got more room for it. I'd probably run one of them instead of the Mana Leaks.
Let us know if you do well, yes? Good luck!

Thanks, CateranLlama! i'll keep some of those in mind. I might try out peel from reality. Boomerang has the problem of double blue...i don't lik having to hope for the mana to cast it. I REALLY like top...because i don't have dual lands or anything, it REALLY helps to let me draw the right color mana, and like i mentioned, it also allows me to sort of increase my chances of getting a good threat in the late game. Ornithopter, i completely love in this deck...i just love it, haha. This happens often: Turn 1 land and ornithopter. Turn 2 land, ninjutsu out ninja of the deep hours, replay ornithopter. turn 3 land ninjutsu throat slitter (i know i only have two, but this happens sometimes still), replay ornithopter, turn 4 land ninjutsu okiba-gang. by then, i probably have the board advantage and the card advantage so the opponent will be hard pressed to come back. then i can finish (hopefully) with a meloku...it's just that part that bugs me...i don't run into meloku as much as i would like...oh well. i'll try out some more stuff. any more tips guys?

I need another big finisher in the deck...something to get that last chunk of life...the ninjas can only do so much. i think moroii would work well...maybe...at least for a budget card (yeah, this is the place where ink eyes would usually fill in, but i don't have money to get him!)
