Tomoyo Daidouji Cardcaptor Sakura April 20-30, 11:59p Central Tomoyo is always making new costumes for Sakura to wear while card collecting, but this time it's up to you to design the costume! The prize? Tomoyo herself!
You don't need to be an art master to take part, but please put as much effort into your entry as possible. So, if you're just going to do a quick MSPaint doodle... don't really expect to win this time.
There is no theme, your costume design can be whatever you want. Be creative! Maybe enter in conjunction with the 'Design a Clow Card' contest and design an outfit in which Sakura would capture your new card ^.~
Guidelines ::
Show a front, back and side perspective for your design. Use Photobucket or another reliable host until the contest closes. Post your entries as thumbnails. Artwork must be original (don't copy existing costumes). If you feel you have 0 artistic abilities but have a great idea for a costume, you can still participate! Use an avatar simulator to design a base for your costume. These entries don't need to have side/back perspectives. You should provide notes, don't just go with an outfit using set items, embellish and explain your idea to us.

Title: Winter Cherry Blossom Artist: Tenko72 Design: (It was going to stretch the page, so that's a link to the big one.) This outfit is meant to evoke the feeling of winter becoming spring. When there's still snow on the ground, but flowers're already blooming too. Made of wool and pink suede, these coat, mittens, and boots are perfect for catching cards in cool weather. Also, the vinyl hairclips aren't just decorative, but add to the aerodynamics of whoever wears them, cutting down on hair friction and giving her that extra bit of speed when flying on her staff.

Title: Starry Night Artist: Astraea Pandora via Tektek Design: The inspiration of this battle costume is the night sky itself. The headband on her forehead is a bright, solar powered star that is just bright enough to allow Sakura to see in front of her wither flying or running. (Also to symbolize that Sakura is the brightest star in the night sky to her dearest Tomoyo.) The boots are high quality leather, steel toe and slip resistant. Her garb is a mixture of silvers, blacks, and blues which are meant to represent the colors of the sky in the evenings. The outer layer is lined in soft faux rabbit fur to stave off the chilly night air, but easily removed if the night is too warm. The blue dress underneath is made of cotton so that it can keep Sakura cool in warmer weather and is light to allow maximum agility and movement when in motion. The head gear is MOSTLY decorative, however the lower bells contain homing beacons, and the upper bells have speakers built into them so that she can hear communication from Kero or Li. The star pendant on her chest finishes off the outfit with flair, and also contains a built in receiver and microphone so that she can call for help or talk to her companions. P.S. Please pretend she has two wings and you just can't see the other because of her pose >.>

Title: Seeking light within the Night Artist: Strait Jacket Girl Design: Spelled cloths allows this Outfit's top to resist super extreme temperature keeping the Wearer at a comfortable temperature for a reasonable amount of time. A convenient ribbon/bow at the back allows the wearer to easily loosen and remove in the case that the top catches fire. Cute shorts are made of a similar material. Lined with a soft mink layer the clothing is smooth against the wearer, being remotely loose enough to enable a free range of motion. The all-terrain steel toed boots offer secure traction to reduce any chances of slipping on wet ground and can pack one heck of a punch when kicking. The Sun Chopstick will provide light in complete darkness. The other is more of a cute addition.

Title: Mermaid?! Artist: danse-hexe Design: Tomoyo's away and I'm supposed to be designing a battle outfit for Sakura?! How does she expect me to know what to do?! Tomoyo: Syaoran, just imagine what you'd want Sakura to wear! Syaoran: b..bu...t... x//////x For our upcoming battle against The Fishy, I figured I'd go with a watery theme. Pretty blues, with a bit of turquoise and silver. Sakura looks good in dresses, so I'll make a frilly one. She'll look cute in that; and also, a ribbon to match. I.. dunno, I just have a thing for ribbons. Sakura'd kill me if she knew, but hey, she wears whatever Tomoyo makes for her anyway, so I should just take the chance to have her wear something I design! Besides, the ribbon doubles up as a speaker. It's positioned just by her ear, so she'll be able to hear me throughout the battle. She'll also be able to contact me. Those metal bracelets that're shaped like fish act as microphones so she'll be able to talk to me. They go well with the glittery gloves that look vaguely like they're covered with scales. Attached to the bracelets is a cape; even though it looks soft and gauzy, it'll allow her to glide through the air (kind of like a flying squirrel). Finishing off the outfit is a pair of waterproof boots. Going up against The Fishy, I guess she'll be needing those...

Title: Lolisaku Artist: Pandan-chan Design: Textures used are by celestial-star.net. For this design, I thought of Sakura's name while drawing it. Also, I wanted to make it cute like Tomoyo's other outfits. At first, I thought of traditional Japanese clothing, because Sakura did not wear much of that. But, that was boring by itself. So, I combined a lolita skirt into the design. I later got all "Sailor Moon-y" and added the sleeves/gloves design into it. (Like seen here- [x], but with my own variation.)

Title: Blessing of Swiftness Artist: Face Your Demons, who did not colour in the two other views because by the time she finished she would have killed a fox with her bare hands upon sight D: Design: What better to catch The Bind card with than a fox outfit, made to be swift, agile and perhaps even make the wearer feel a little more cunning? It's also just super cute. Cuteness is crucial. ^^^CLICK ME FOR FULL FRONTAL CUTENESS ASSAULT^^^(not really... I think the Chibi is probably significantly cuter than the thing it leads to >.>; Oh well ;P)

Title: AERIAL STRIKE OF CUTENESS Artist: o-Kikumaru-o (pixel base from Miku-Pixels @ dA) Design: It's a really simple outfit overall. Wings - used for extra...flapping abillities? xD Circlet - harnesses magical wind power! whoooo~ Dress - uh, well, it's a dress...to cover up nakedness. Armlets/Neck Ribbon - for decoration mainly, can also be activated to slow her into a graceful descent c"8 Boots/Armwarmers - WIND RESISTANCE! it gets pretty cold.

Title: Windy Wings Artist: Bella Stella Nox Design: Windy Wings has been designed to match the wispy light feeling of the Windy Card. The material is light and flowy, while still durable and allowing for easy movement. You have to be quick when dealing with the Windy! The costume is adorned with wings and light colors as well. The boots have an asymmetrical look for an edgy feel, while still remaining girly. This is Sakura after all, lots of frills and pretty little aspects are crucial! Her boots are also sturdy but very, very flexible. The headband has two small wings, one of which is detachable, and doubles as a communicator. The headband itself is great for keeping her hair back and out of her face. In all, this outfit is wispy, edgy, lightweight, and will be a perfect match to the Windy.

Title: Love Halo Artist: Ranger Myst or Myst Design: This design was based off 3 different ideas I had. The 3 themes I had chosen to debate over were Love, school, and an angelic theme. In Sakura's adventures, she came face-to-face with many forms of love, not just the romantic kind. But I didn't want to just leave it at that, love by itself would be boring, so putting something that symbolizes angels or purity seemed to really make the idea interesting. Something seemed missing however which is why some parts of the dress are school themed, to bring it all to together as she is still a young girl. What better outfit to wear then with the 2 themes of Love and Angelic to chase after "The Illusion".
Though this outfit appears to be quite jam-packed and heavy, it actually is quite light weight. It also stops above her kneecaps so that it doesn't get in the way while she's running, jumping or whatever else she's doing. It's made to look cute, fit the theme of the card she's to be chasing after and work well with her though it's cautioned that she be careful with fire.

Title: diei caelum (if my latin's not wrong, it should translate to The sky of day) Artist: Lily Design: Tomoyo specializes mostly of design and of course, practicality. Most of the outfits that Sakura have worn are intricate but are made of single coloured fabric. I've taken a new look on it with practicality and patterns on the clothing articles itself. With an aerodynamic body suit and a touch of cuteness from the shorts, she can take to the skies with her roller skates or the Fly card. Her headgear acts as a cute point as well, but mostly it is for communication as well as keeping her head warm if she were to travel high into the sky. No one wants a sick cardcaptor! Her skates, as they appeared in the beginning of the series and even in her Fly Card capture, she can use them very well. In captures with cards that are speedy such as the jump and the dash, it would prove to be ideal to try to match it. Her leg warmers, although detachable from the skates themselves, have a strap at the bottom so that even if her skate were to be pulled off by someone else with force, she wouldn't lose it.
