Mars smiled lazily as the cool streaming water rushed by her feet, kicking them slowly as she enjoyed the flow of the current rushing past. Filled with all the little fishes and float downs from further up the river, the shining pebbles reflecting daintily with the sun overhead.
Her hair hung all about her face, let wild for the moment, her weapon at ease, tucked away by her side. Paying so much attention to the water before her that she failed to notice anything else, a bit too caught up in her own thoughts to bother with the rest of the world around her.

Oken traveled up along the shore of the old riverbed, making his way to his favorite spot in this area. Just around the bend was a low, overhanging tree who's trunk had formed a natural gentle backing one could lay against. The scenic panorama was breathtaking on a clear day such as this.
His step grew quicker to round the bend, able to relax and escape after being hounded by several females earlier that day. He paused momentarily, remembering his anger and disgust at the opposing flock and how they had caked on so much makeup and put on the most silly of clothing as they crowded him. He'd been yanked this way and that, his wings unable to unfurl as they swarmed and clung to him and talked of random nonsense.
Once more he stepped up his pace toward his haven. Rounding the bend and stopping in shock. His golden eyes burned with anger at the sight of the female. A female several feet from his tree and now ruining what he thought would have become a relaxing event to end his day.

His muscles tensed, the primal insticts of his wolfen bloodlines giving action to his growing rage. His vision swam as he charged the female, not bothering to give caution to the scythe beside her.

A fierce breeze seemed to blow through the place, sending her hair askew and ruffling her clothing, causing a slight bit of alarm as her hand instinctively shot to her weapon. Gripping it tightly in her hand before even looking for the cause of the sudden strangeness.
Her eyes shooting to the sky above, the calm expression leaving her face and quickly turning to an amused confusion. What sort was this..and what language was that! "I can not in the least bit tell what issue it is you have little beast, though its obvious your quite angry over something"
A slight smile curving on her lips as she stood, ready to defend, "Very angry indeed..Though I'm afraid you've chosen the wrong person to lash out at!" Her smile turning grim, to far away to attack the beast she knew, not without getting closer first. Making a slashing 'come hither' gesture with her scythe anyways, hoping to entice her enraged opponent closer.

Through his fury he saw his opening as the scythe came down in a gestured slash. Winging forward in another charge and stopping suddenly in front of the female. The wind force from the sudden stop causing his hair to whip violently and the streambed to stir as he spoke with barely controlled rage.

Mars stood agape for a moment getting a good eyeful of the enraged creature who hovered before her, caught off guard by the anger as well as the sudden strange attack. She had yet to deal with an opponent who worked the winds so violently, though the large wings her foe sported should have given her some clue as what to expect!
He hadn't even had to touch here, and yet here she was lying on her sore rear, blasted back by what had truly felt like a physical wall instead of a simple blast of air. "Tsk..My what a temper you have, and rude to boot striking a lady. Maybe I'd best teach you some manners!" she bristled as she lept from the water, slicing out with her long scythe at the angels elegant legs.

He saw the blade swing, but it didn't click that the swing would land until it was too late to dodge the full attack effectively. He backwinged quickly, but the blade still grazed his left leg. The wound but a mere scratch, enough to pick at skin but too shallow to cause bleeding. The pain an annoyance at most, though it would fade soon enough.
He growled as he attempted an air current attack. However the scratch had been long, from the side of his calf to just above the ankle and throbbed, causing the attack to miss. Furious that such a simple attack had failed, even if it was harder to manipulate a distance attack than one forced through touch.

Mars grin widened resembling a mocking sneer, rather proud of herself for at least nicking the annoying wind wielding creature. Honestly if he was going to attack her without reason he could at least speak in plain language! "Now now, anger will only ruin things for you. Maybe try calming yourself a bit eh?" she was not about to pause and give him a chance to counter though, not when he was still capable of mustering up another attack against her. Certainly not when he was so enraged.
Taking a chance and drawing her scythe back once more, attempting to close the distance and drive her attacker further back as she lashed forwards with her scythe, a silent curse floating under her breath as she narrowly missed. Her footing on the slick surface of the wet rocks causing her to slip enough to be clumsy.

Oken hissed in response to the mocking sneer on the female's face. The throb in his leg finally subsiding as his temper began to sharpen and hone into a more graceful weapon versus the undiluted rage and anger. The fact that she was telling him to calm down was insulting, the haze from the rage still fogging his mind too much to realize she was right.

Mars glowered at her opponent, eyes sparking with anger as she clutched at her now wounded shoulder. The deep red angry scratches across it stinging unpleasantly. It was hard to believe air could be as sharp as knives, this creature obviously had a mastery over it though. Really if he hadn't been aiming his anger at herself she might have found it all rather beautiful.
"Hah, lookit that, the bird has some aim. Consider me impressed" she huffed sharply, her voice full of an amused irritation. Still a smile seemed to tug at the corners of her lips, rather enjoying a challenge, as unexpected and unwanted as it had originally been. Taking a cautious step back before rushing forwards, leaping and slashing out at the winged twilif.

A start to overall satisfaction could be read in his eyes as he watched her clutch her shoulder. A hiss passed his lips at the other's comment, though he couldn't help but grin at the other's irritation. The haze in his mind lifted a little more to clearer thoughts and logic, though the bloodlust from his wolf ancestry would remain until the battle was over.
"Why thank you, and consider me impressed when you manage to hit me again, female" he spat out the last word with scorn and hatred, easily avoiding the scythe as it swung out at him.
He moved in close for a physical strike once again, another stray gust of wind causing him to sleer slightly to the right of his target. This battle was going to be beyond annoying if these stray winds continued to mess with his aim and attacks.
A change in tactics as he winged passed, slowing only long enough whisper in her ear before moving out of her immediate sythe's range.
"Perhaps that blade is but a cheap decoration?"

"Your hardly welcome, winged scornful rat!" Mars snarled, choking on the sound as she realized she'd actually understood her attacker for once. Yet more surprises from the curiously handsome, rage filled male. "Well well now, look at that! It can speak, truly you are just full of tricks arent you?"
Mars laughed coldly, as she brought up her weapon to block the newest attack, her expression hovering between amusement and anger as the teasing beast hovered close once more. Those damned wings..
"I will have you know it is no imitation! We'll see how much you please to mock my blade once you feel its sting" she hissed grouchily, maybe if her opponent would quit being so light and flighty, she'd have that much better chance of scoring a decent attack on it. Darting after her swift opponent, leaping up and slashing out at his retreating form with her scythe..

Mocking the red haired female had let his guard slip as he heard the blade slice through the air, hissing as he spun around. The blade having connected enough to cause damage, his right wing throbbed worse than his leg had as a few feathers snagged on the blade and pulled while others were sliced thinner or shorter.
He watched as the feather pieces fell to the ground, small flecks of blood on the ones that had been pulled. The wing felt off now, not enough that he needed to land, but enough that he would have to compensate somehow if his wing soon became further damaged.
"Oh, so it is more than a decoration. Though maybe it's still more for show than combat still~ <3" he teased.
The throbbing from where the feathers had been plucked caused him to falter in mid-air. Before he could attack again, he'd have to find a way to subdue the pain. The riverbed and it's crystal clear water would be perfect as he beelined a ways upstream from her. It would do no good for her to shove him in the water if he was too close.
