Why not? This guild is so full of amazing writers, why should we not have a totaly awesome song to tell everyone else how totaly awesome we are? Let us all put our heads together and make the best song ever to represent us. Idealy, I would LOVE for EVERY member of the guild to have some input into making this official guild song. Let's make it happen! So here is how it is going to work...~ This song will be a parody of "Gotta Get Back to Hogwarts" from "A Very Potter Musical". (Here's a link in case you havn't heard it before http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wmwM_AKeMCk) I think this is the perfect song to run a spoof for our guild, because this song explains all the totaly awesome things about Hogwarts. Additionally, they refer to time at Hogwarts as "totaly awesome" several times over in the song. ~ Brainstorm! If you would like to suggest ideas, but are not entirely sure how it would be worded in the song, feel free to simply suggest an idea in a normal post. We will have a look at it, and someone might be able to use it to word some lyrics. ~ Write some lyrics. When you think you have an idea for how to word some piece of the song, write they lyrics you are suggesting in green. If you are suggesting an alternate wording to lyrics already in the song, be sure to include those lyrics in orange. exclaim Note: exclaim When suggesting lyrics, post as shown in the following quote: Quote: ... This post is to show what we are considering keeping for the final song so that you get a good feel of what we have come up with so far.
HARRY:

question So what are we going to do with this song once we're done?
~When this song is completely written, I am going to try to find people with recording equimnet and even youtube accounts to work on making a music video. Once we have a music video that puts the tune with the words and maybe even with a visual, we can share that with people all over gaia. We might even get people who are not on gaia to join gaia so that they can join this guild!

If we finish it soon, I might be able to help record. I have recording crap, an okay voice, and some passion.
But on Monday, I'm going to boarding school, where it might be harder to record.

I very much appreciate your offer, but I do not thing we will be finished by monday. I'm thinking it may take at least two weeks to get out a finished product.
The advantage to having it take more time, is that we can get more input from more guild members. The disadvantage is that it takes some patience.
