It was easy enough to say that Roxy liked Mrrh. She found him fun and he played with her a lot like Kay did. She didn't see the undertones of danger that Kay seemed to read into, nor whatever it was Gera saw in Mrrh that drove him to be rather over protective. He was fun. And that was that.
Hugging his head whilst she sat on his shoulders they were heading for the icecream parlor.
"I want choco chip mint Mrrh! Chooooco chip MMiiiiiint," the little blonde declared as she tugged on his hair a bit to get his attention.
The older boy only laughed and nodded his head,
"Yes yes of course my princess, choco chop mint in all its green and chocolate glory shall be yours." The older boy agree'd with a smile, he jumped a bit shifting her weight on his shoulders, she was heavy but he didn't seem to mind at all.
It didn't take them long to get to the ice cream palor. Heck it would of been faster if Roxy would of walked, but she was wearing ungangly shoes again..not that she could help it, he clothes all morphed when she put them on and that included shoes.
Today she had a gainst silver star painted on a cheek and a huge red and white stripped bandana, her skirt was too short for her age, and her top was a tube top at the most, but it was those high heeled menaces that caused the msot problems.
"How may scoops you want princess?" he asked as he pushed open the door to the palor.
"THREE! I want three scoops!" The blondge declared rather loudly and energetically.

It was kind of annoying to crave something but not be certain what. He didn't want anything extremely sweet but he did want a little sweetness and more tang. It got to the point where he just flung the book he was reading onto his bed and he stalked out and started walking toward someplace that could offer him something similar that he could want. Moments past and soon he stood outside of the ice cream parlor and stared up at the sign. Maybe this place had something to offer him and so he pushed the door open and made his way in.
He wasn't paying attention until familiar fields of energy hit him and his eyes gazed around and eventually toward a figure that had a girl upon their shoulders.
..More? Wait one of them felt familiar though he couldn't quite see their face he recognized their build. Though he could be wrong. He wandered closer and waited for his turn in line. He wasn't the most social person to begin with and it wasn't like him to just always randomly reach out to people anyways. For now he gazed at the sign advertising what they sold at the parlor. Lemon flavored sorbet seemed like it would hit the spot...Yes he would get that!

Mrrh shifted the girl back and forth playing with her weight on his shoulders making her lean percariously to one side and then another.
"Heeeeey Mrrh I am going ...t..to fall hahahaha if you keep doing that!" She announed as she clung to his head happily trying to keep herself firmly seated.
Now Mrrh himself was the HEY LETS BE BEST BUDS sorta guy either, and though it took him a moment to realize that Quint was in line he didn't turn aruond to say hello just yet. It was there turn in line after all.
"Three scoops..."
"Of chocolate chip mint icecream! PLEASE!" Roxy finished adding the please at the end in a rush. She was smilling, though a bit loud. She turned her head as her attention was diverted as ordering was already done. She spotted Quin behind them, he was...neat. VERY NEAT.
"HI!" She announced with a wave in his direction.

He stayed silent up until her attention to him and he stared back at her and blinked a bit not sure what to do with that. Quint lifted up a hand and uttered a quiet, "Hello," in return. The girl certainly was an exuberant thing. It was certainly surprising to see her with the person she was with, if his hunch was correct and he was fairly certain it was though.
Quint shifted a bit and fell silent; he didn't smile at the little girl or anything he was now just focused on getting his frozen treat as soon as it was his turn. When his turn came up he ordered his lemon sorbet and got out his wallet so he could pay. He kept a close eye on the girl, though. He didn't want her touching him because he didn't wish to chomp on her in case he lost control of himself.

Mrrh kept Roxy firmly on his shoulders, he smiled looking over to where Quint was standing giving a nod of his head to the other boy though still holding onto Roxy's legs quite firmly.
"Hey princess you need to pay the man," he teased the blonde as she was the one whom he had given the money too since his hands were full.
Roxy wrenched her gaze away from Quint to pay attention to what Mrrh was talking about. She reached forward her small hand holding a couple of bills in which she leaned percariously forward to pay the icecream man.
"Hey there.." Mrrh said turning his head to look at Quint, not about to let the other boy go so easily, he winced as his hair was pulled by Roxy as she tried to stay steady on his shoulders.
"What's new?" He continued.

He felt a bit of relief when the girl's attention was diverted away from him. It just seemed like too much trouble when a girl noticed him or even paid him an ounce of attention, bad things seemed to happen and girls started to act weird or at least that one girl did. Right now he was all about applying generalizations about girl behaviors to all girls and not just the one being some sort of weird fluke of some sort of weird personality.
Quint paid with a different worker getting his lemon sorbet and he held his cup as he stared at Mrrh. Yeah he remembered this one, he shifted his weight from one foot to the other as he gave a small nod, "Hey," he murmured as he took up the plastic spoon and began to munch on his treat. He paused middle of eating in thought before he shrugged, "Not much. Seems you got a second head," he indicated toward the girl upon Mrrh's shoulders.

"More like a leech," Mrrh teased as he shifted Roxy on his shoulders once she got her treat. She was getting a bit big to be riding around on his shoulders...not that it bothered him any. IF Kay could drag her around all day then so could he.
"Heeeeeeeey I am NOT a leech," She stated firmly as she poked Mrrh's cheek in an annoyed tone.
"Yes yes...sorry...a Princess Leech." He corrected as he got another poke in the face.
"I am NOT a leech." She stated though no longer correcting Mrrh but was speaking to Quint. She took a lick of her own chocolate mind icecream before she laid on Mrrh's head watching Quint with interest.
"What kind you get?" She inquired, as Mrrh rubbed his cheek.

Quint gave a small smirk and watched the two interact quietly as he continued to eat his treat being careful not to accidentally chomp his utensil into two parts because that would totally and utterly suck, not that he couldn't get a new one if it happened he just didn't feel like messing with the workers behind the counter again.
The spoon hung a bit out of his mouth as his eyes went back toward the blonde once more with a bit of a blink. Great she was paying attention to him again...
"Lemon sorbet," he answered with a bit of a mumble. "I'm Quint," he said to her with a mumble figuring he may as well introduce himself.
His eyes gazed at Mrrh, "She a friend or somethin'?"

Mrrh rolled his red eyes watching Quint with keen interest and trying to be subtle about it, he seemed to be doing a fine job as he tended to try and dodge the icecream drops that were dripping off of Roxy's cone.
"A friend? Nah I kidnapped her from the local school..didn't I runt?" He teased as the blonde only stuck her tongue out at him again and then looked as if she was going to threaten him with sticking the cone in his hair.
"We are friends," She stated firmly before looking to Quint again, " You friends with mrrh?"

"Oh, that's good. Don't get caught," Quint responded with a small smirk as he watched the pair some more. He couldn't focus on studying Mrrh as he might have liked but that was perfectly fine with him right now. It wasn't like the other boy would somehow attack him right now and if he had well...Quint wouldn't be completely and utterly surprised as he probably would have been if he was more ... trusting.
Quint stared at the girl and shrugged his shoulders, "Dunno if you'd call us friends. We just happen to know each other."
Even in personal relationships Quint kept people at an arm's length.

Roxy looked back to Quint icecream dribbling down her cone and onto her fingers, she took a moment to lick them clean and switched the cone to her other hand.
"You dunno? Don't you want friends?" She asked sounding perplexed, she loved making friends. It made every day more interesting to her.
Mrrh only laughed, "I dunno, I think he'd be better friends with your brother...they have a similar disposition.." He chuckeled earning a glare from Roxy.
"That isn't nice..it..its not Gera's fault he ...can't make friends..." She choose her wording carefully, as she really wasn't sure WHAT Gera's deal was. Either he was inept at making friends or...didn't want them.

Quint continued to eat his sorbet as he stared at the girl and shrugged his shoulders, "I am just not so quick to call everyone my friend," he told the girl simply. He gazed down at Mrrh and said simply, "I am sure Mrrh understands. Not everyone wants to be your friend right away, sometimes people need to show that they can be trusted."
It wasn't really directed at Mrrh as much as it was a simple reply that showed his view on friendships in general, though if this ... individual wanted to be his friend they would have to prove themselves, a lot.
He tilted his head as they seemed to talk about...someone he did not know and simply let them talk it over between them having no opinion on that matter. He did not know this Gera.

Roxy sighed and bapped Mrrh on the head as he had been insulting her older brother even though he ...really didn't seem to care of mind at being made fun of.
Mrrh only understood Quints comment all too well, he smiled as if knowingly. Smart kid. Wary when he should be.
"Mrrrrrh likes making friends too don't you?" Roxy asked as she looked down at him still confused with why anyone would NOT want to make a friend right away.
Mrrh shrugged, "Depends on the person, weither I could trust them or not. " He stated to her though it was more aimed for Quint.

Quint continued to eat his sorbet as he stared at Roxy. An interesting girl none the less so long as she stayed put and didn't touch him he'd be just fine. His vision slid down to gaze upon Mrrh quietly and he gave a small nod before he added, "Some people take longer to be friends than others, Roxy. It isn't a bad thing, it just takes time."
"Sometimes people don't ... get along right away," he shrugged lightly as he shifted from one foot to the other. He didn't mind standing there and talking with them, he could be talking to a lot more annoying people that is for certain.
"So what do you like to do Roxy? Mrrh?" Might as well put some sort of an effort forth to get to know them, be social or whatever...

Roxy still didn't get it. Takes time? Why? Shouldn't everyone be friends with everybody else? She screwed her face into a I dun get it sort of expression before she licked her icecream again.
"I like to sing!" Roxy explained eager to get to know the new boy more. Psh he may think it takes time to make friends but she'd show him!
"You? You sing? or dance?" she asked looking eagerly at him.
Mrrh found a mental image of Quint dancing or singing quite ..humorous.
"Oh you know..I like to tease this little one." He basiaclly avoided answering the question.
