Rory slumped a bit, cheek resting in her paw as she sighed and shook her head, tapping the table next to her cards, only to have the dealer lay down a new card and blurt on "Bust! Pay up, missy."
"How about I just buy you a drink, handsome?" She asked, tail swishing back and forth behind her. But when he just took her chips she let out an exasperated groan and flopped back. Though, she might not have been trying so hard to flirt her way through the game had she'd known the dealer was gayer then a rainbow.
"You in for another round?" Her ears perked at the question and she just gave a passive wave, sliding her chips in and signaling the bartender for another drink.
With her luck tonight she needed it.

Monte yawned and pushed away from the drink bar he was at. There was nothing good here at all, he had better at his house stashed in his room. Might as well head back to the tables, he thought to himself.
He had come here to have a good time but ended up being bored again. The excitement of winning didn't fill the air as it had before and it was getting as boring as that damn shop. He sighed as he thought about the girls he talked to. They were all either mated, lesbians or crazys and trying anything with them was pretty much a lost cause. It must have been his luck lately. He had been losing alot too.
As he walked along lost in his own thoughts, he found his gaze wandering until he saw a cute black and red femmie. He paused and blinked.Maybe his luck was changing...he thought with a small smirk as he headed over.

Rory tapped the table again, holding her breath tight in her chest and vowing she would throw the drink in her paw at the dealer should her hand bust again, though, luckily it brought her total to a solid 19 and she released her breath in a sigh, taking a sip and glancing over to spy Monte in the vicinity.
"Well hello handsome~" She cooed, turning in her chair to the intricately colored male. "Looks like you're my lucky charm tonight," She stated, eying the dealer show his cards and sacrifice a pile of chips to her own pile.
She picked one and held up, "Buy you a drink?"

Monte smiled at the female as he leaned up against the table, ignoring the others there. "Why hello there yourself, gorgeous," he said with a hint of his seductive side showing. As he looked her over, a smirk replaced his smile.
"A free drink from a lovely lady such as yourself? I'd love one." He may dislike the drinks here, but it may be worth it, he figured to himself. She just might be his own personal win.

"Oh good!" Rory said with a crooked grin, half paying attention to the game, occasionally letting the dealer know what to do with passive hand signals. "Then you just sit your pretty behind right there until I win back my money, then I can treat ya to some decent booze," She said with a slight wink as she brought someone over to refill her cocktail.
"What ya drinkin'?"

Monte settled himself down into the chair she pointed to and smiled, "I'm actually up for anything." .He glanced over to the table before coming back to her. With a small shrug, he continued, "I'm not from around here and don't know anything good, just something on the strong side" Not that it would do anything to him, it took him quite a few drinks before anything happened.

"Oh?" Rory quirked a bit more genuine interest at part of his statement, taking his drink from the worker and sliding it over to him. "If you're not from around here then where are you from?"
She was facing him, making eye contact with her new 'friend' and wasn't paying attention to her numbers, tapping the table for more cards. Though, when she looked over at her current total, she felt her heart jump to her throat, inwardly cursing herself for hitting on 19 when she saw she hit on 19. Though, when the dealer laid down a 2 and handed her more chips, she relaxed, almost letting out a happy purr at her change in luck.

As he grabbed his drink to stop it, he gave her a small shrug with the opposite shoulder. "Just somewhere quite a distance away... I enjoy moving around and seeing different things." He wasn't going to mention those things where mainly the casinos and girls of different areas. "You from around here Ms...?" He might as well start up a good conversation going, learn her name, see if anything comes of it.
Glancing over to the game, he noticed how her luck was going. It had been awhile since he played, the boredom just made it lackluster.

"Oh, how romantic, the lone drifter," Rory said with a giggle before shrugging. "Been around. Not far from here, though. I guess I'm just bound to this area, by unknown means," She said in a chipper voice and ending with a wistful sigh before collecting her winnings.
"Rory," she said, filling in the blank after he paused. "Not miss Rory, just Rory," She said with a crooked smile and a tail swish as she leaned in his direction, elbows on the blackjack table and moving one claw of her pads lightly under his chin, "And what do I call you, handsome?"

"Not much romantic about it" He said, restraining himself from rolling his eyes. Only thing about romance he knew was how to get the ladies to come to him... not that he was complaining, "You'd think I would have seen you around then, I've passed this place, just never came in until now.'
Monte put his drink down, a smile crossing his face as she leaned in, it growing into his normal smirk "Just call me Monte, it's what everyone calls me," He said with a laugh.

"Oh pffft," Rory said, waving him off and letting her muzzle sink into her paw, eyes lowered and a bit of an odd smile present on her face at the fact he'd taken romantic with such a flat definition.
"Well then I guess tonight's just your lucky night, I guess," she commented at the fact they bumped into one another, "Because if we'd met before I definitely would've remembered that coat."
She counted out her converted chips to cash and stuffed it away, feeling rather pleased with herself before linking her arm around his, suddenly bringing her person well into his physical space, a sultry grin resting on her face. "So, Monte, sugar, why don't we find some place more accommodating and see how much more lucky we can get?"

Monte stiffened slightly in surprise at her suddenness, but quickly relaxed. Most of the femmies he had met had never done that to him, him usually priding himself in being able to lure them in and get with them. He let out a short laugh and smirked at her, "We can get a hell of a lot more lucky tonight, Rory babe."
Without much thought, he pulled her towards the exit. He had nothing here to worry about and she had her money. "Anywhere in particular you'd like to go? Many... accommodating places are near" Might as well make her feel comfortable, as he stepped out the door. It might be a long night, and he wasn't going to let this bit of lucky pass by that quick.

Rory laughed a bit. She knew she was being easy but there was no point in the chase tonight, she figured. Not when there was a decently fun guy right there.
"I dunno, take your pick, sugar. I got the goods to pay for any little thing your heart desires," She told him with a light, joking tone.

Monte grinned then put a hand on her hip, leading her in a certain direction "If you say so then, babe," he said with a similar tone to hers. It seriously didn't matter at all to him, so he was just going to take her to a closer hotel. It was cheap, but well kept. It was actually one of his favorite ones around and he knew most all of the workers.
He walked her towards the door, still surprised that she came so easily. "Ready for some fun, Rory?"

"Well let's see if you can handle my kinda fun," Rory said with a laugh, going so far as to hold the door open for him and making a swooping 'after you' gesture.
And after a fun filled night and a roll in the hay with her new friend, Rory found herself leisurely stretching and leaning over to nuzzle the painted male's cheek. "I gotta say, Monte," She purred, her voice considerably more pleased and less tensely hyper than when they met in the casino earlier, "You sure know how to show a gal a good time."
She stretched her shoulders again, and stole one of the paper hotel cards to flip over, writing her number on the blank side, handing it to him. "You should call me. I think we're going to be lovely friends," She told him with a wink, though there was a special strain on friends. She didn't want a romance, but a friendship, and a buddy to party with would do her just fine.
And with that, she fluffed her tail and quickly groomed any ratty fur and was off, leaving some cash to pay for half the room fee.
