Always shoot for the Moon... High in the sky the sun shined down brilliant rays of warm light. It could prove to be a hot day and there was not a could in sight. Not far of though there was a stream. Zheadeos know where it was but decided it wasn't warm enough to want to swim yet. Instead he decided to walk around a bit. There were a few trees near by that he'd slept under a time or two with his family. He judged the sun to be almost at it's highest point. His two-legger said it was a about the middle of the day when the sun was like that. In the back of his mind he could hear LittleWind trying to ask a million questions at once while Rhydian tried to pull a prank on their mother. He loved his family and enjoyed his time away from them as well. It was cool to hang out with his dad though they were alot alike as others had told him. Silent but strong well the silent part was for the most part true though he was very unsure about the strong part. Maybe some day he thought he'd be like his dad but never exactly. He wasn't like his dad fully cause he looked like the stallions that had antlers. If he was lucky though he could be fortunate enough to have a mane like that of his father. That though excited him but he wasn't so sure it would happen that way.
Zheadeos frowned in thought as he aimlessly walked around a tree trunk that stood almost all by itself. Little flowers were starting to bloom and he frowned that his walking was crushing the flowers though he suppose it could not be helped because of the fact that they were everywhere. Much like the grasshoppers that LittleWind seemed so fond of. The world as large as it was always made more to replace the dead and destroyed. However he could do his best not to add to the death as much as he could so where he could avoid the flowers he did. Sometimes Zheadeos wished he could find a friend that was like him. He had his father true but that was his dad, he was also an adult so it just wasn't the same. ...because even if you miss you'll land in the stars.

Once again, Mikhail had found himself easily slipping away from his father and pretty sure that the stallion didn't really care. It was all too often that the uni could just start walking away and not get as much as a simple, 'Where are you going?' from his male parent. But, by this time, the colt had already figured out that his father would much rather chase mares than to raise his own son. Oh well, it gave him more free time to play and what not.
He ventured out to a clearing that had a few scattered trees and stumps around. His red eyes scanned around, but his attention was soon caught by a rustling near his hooves. Looking down, he saw a grasshopper. At the insect, he smiled and lowered his head to it which caused it to leap away. Seeing this, he chuckled and 'hopped' after it, making a large rustle in the grass as he landed.

Zheadeos silently mumbled to himself as he avoided the flowers as best he could. In his musings he heard a loud rustling in the grass. He lifted his head away from the flowers to look about and see where the noise came from. He cocked his head to the side and peeked about his pointed small antlers scrapped against the tree's trunk making a sound in it's own in comparison to the rustle.

The dark colt continued to 'chase' the insect, unaware of the other nearby. That changed when he heard the familiar sound of wood being scraped. Quickly, he lifted his head from looking at the bug to looking for what produced the noise. When he did this, his red eyes focused on another foal standing near a tree trunk. His ears flattened nervously, now curious if the other had spotted him too.

Zheadeos frowned sure he'd heard something but his antlers catching on the bark had sounded over any other rustling. His frown still hovered as he turned his head about when he saw a grasshopper pass. Zheadeos peeked about from around the tree and let out a leery "Hello?" He nearly jumped when his silver Grey eyes fell upon a pair of red ones. Zhea was startled by the other colts flatten ears and in response he lowered his head cautiously."I'm Zheadeos"

The dark colt felt even more nervous when he had seen that he had been spotted. He was a bit surprised that the other didn't run at that point, but instead gave him his name. Although he was scared, he wasn't going to be rude. So, softly, he replied. "I-I'm Mikhail."

Always shoot for the Moon... Zheadeos lifted his head a bit and his ears flicked forward toward the other foal. Atop the other foals head was a single pointed horn. He tilted his head, he'd never see a oal with only one antler "Why do you only have one antler?" ...because even if you miss you'll land in the stars.

Slowly, Mikhail started to lift himself out of the tall grass. The dark colt eyed the other curiously, mainly the two odd things on the top of his head. Just as he was going to tentatively ask Zheadeos about it, he had asked why he had one antler. Antler? He thought with a tilt of his head. "What is an antler?" He replied back with slight confusion.

A confused frown toyed at Zheadeos's mouth as the other foal asked what an antler was. It was so silly to ask for he had one of his own, how could he not know. "The thing growing out of your head. I gots two though." He shakes his head softly and tries to look at his antlers, causing his head to raise only to fail and him not his antlers. Still determined to try he continues to shift his head trying to see his antlers however small they are.

Mikhail watched the other colt as he tried to look at the things on his head. Surely, the other was... What was a nicer way of saying 'weird'? Was there a nicer way? Interesting? Yeah, interesting would work, at least... for now.
"The thing growing out of my...?" He asked, mainly himself questioningly. At that moment, he also tried to look up at his forehead. He did this for some time before thinking of something and looking back to Zheadeos. "Do you mean my horn?!"

Zheadeos snorted and shook his head. "Is that what it's called? Mine is antlers." He danced back a little off kilter. A horn... well that could explain why they were so different looking.

So there were different names for these things? Mikhail had to wonder if other soquili had these 'antlers'? But wait... kalonas had two, yet they were called horns... why were this colt's called antlers? He would have to ask an adult later, pretty sure his father wouldn't answer. "That is interesting."

A horn it was a hard concept to wrap his head around, Zheadeos thought it similar to his antlers still just that it held a different name cause it was single. "So when you get bigger it will branch out?"

The skeletal colt continued to look at the other colt's two antlers, quite curious. Slowly, he moved closer, trying to close the gap between them. He was still rather nervous at how the other would react to him though, when he did get closer. At the question, he shook his head. "Branch out? You mean like a tree? No, my horn will only get longer and sharper at the tip. Or at least, that's what I think will happen, cause my dad's horn looks pointier than my horn."

Zheadeos wiggled his tail "Oh well yeah mine will look like branches. Least thats what I think. Though mine will be dull." He nodded thinking it odd that his points antlers would become dull. "My dad doesn't have antlers like me. He's got a real big mane though" He nodded carefully as he skirted a little forward in his brimming excitement though he was quick to cap it down.
