Forests and woods are small compared to this wood, it takes up a whooping third of the campus grounds and houses several famous trees and species. The Great tree is the most well known of the trees in this extensive forest. She lies in the middle of it, in her own clearing and somewhat resembles mother Pine. Mother Pine is the matriarch of all pine trees in the forest respectively she and the other tree matriarchs (Mother Cherry, Mother Willow, Mother Oak, Mother Yew, Mother Birch) answer to The Great Tree. More often then not before an outsider can get close enough to talk with the trees they are driven off by their children-Both the plants, the nymphs, the animals, and the Belle Morte. However The Great Tree allows passage to her as she is the forest's diplomat. Be warned students, anger the matriarchs, approach them, kill the young (without paying homage) beneath their children's branch's and the Belle Morte and Nymph's shall descend upon you and drive you from their home. It is unknown where Mother Cherry and Mother Yew reside, but stay far from the bark of Mother Pine whom lies just within the forest- For her children are many, and they are loyal. Should you stray toward the light where the trees are tall and thin, Mother Birch resides there: but she cares for humans and will talk to them if her few children do not set them to work first.

Raine looked around and the trees, her short dark hair blowing all over the place as her eyes looked for a good place to sit. Finding a good spot, she jumped down from the branch of a tree. Her feet made no noise as she hit the slightly damp forest floor. Sitting down Raine began to listen, her ears hearing the trees the trees telling her news. Indirectly she was speaking to Mother Willow, it wasn't long before she was deep in a trance listening to the sounds of the forest. Leaves formerly brown began to dance in green about her form. She heard a twig snap behind her and quickly turned to catch a knife as it sailed at her. "Can never be too careful," Ninotchka said as she stepped out from behind a tree. "Funny. Its more dangerous for you here then it is for me," Raine replied in a quiet voice, "You know that not even patrols would've saved your student. No one could've anticipated the attack." "Knows, but make promises dhis 'elp vit it," The other woman responded as she shifted from one foot to another. "Your always telling your students to show their emotions, yet you hide yours behind a smile, I'll take over the forest Nina-Go get some sleep, you look like the dead three days buried," Raine continued before hearing the crunch of leaves as the other teacher left. She continued to listen to the whispers of the trees and their nymphs.

Meg walked into the forest with Kirarra on her shoulder. She turned her head and noticed someone else was there. "Oh I'm sorry, I didn't know that some one else was in here..."

"I knew you were coming Meg. Not just because of the light crunch of leave beneath your feet, or the distinctive scent of Kirarra's fur. Do you have questions? You must, there is a reason you're walking through the forest. What is driving your mind to make your body wander? Sate my hunger." Raine asked as she slowly opened her eyes, nothing but white showing and her skin shimmering a translucent orange-yellow where the light streaming between the leaves-hit her bared skin.

"It's nothing Raine. Just a casual walk. Might I ask...? Never mind." Meg sat down on the grass and sighed. Her thoughts in her mind started to anger her a bit. She slightly started to glow. Kirarra jumped off of Meg's shoulder and walked over to Raine. "Hello Raine." Then she turned her head to Meg and walked back to her, laying on meg's lap.

"Ask what Meg? I will not force you to reveal, you've earned your privacies. Had you not, you would not be here. Hello Kiarra," Raine replied before closing her eyes and drifting off, her link needed to be reestablished and stabilized every so often, if it wasn't, the link would break and her body would disintegrate back into dust and dirt while her soul would die as it should have all those years before. Being what she was, was rather horrid. Not dead, not alive, nor undead: a being once alive and kept in a perpetual state of being, kept tied to the living world only by a harsh link connecting her to the being which summoned her soul back to her dying body and stopped the progression of her body. Every few hundred years her new body would shift and change, going from child to adult rather quickly. Life was a curse and a blessing to her, though she hoped it was not so with Meg. Raine did not know, only Georgia knew and she knew the dangers of looking into the headmistresses head. She was just as unwilling to peer into her mind as she was unwilling to peer into Meg's. Ninotchka did not matter, for her mind was broken and always leaking emotion.

Meg sighed again. "Raine. Why do you think Head Mistress let us be teachers?"

"Sarcasm? Or is this a legitimate question?" Raine asked before pondering the question and looking for an answer in the trees, "We think... I think.... It's a symbiotic relationship. We teach the students, but they teach us as well. I think as well, she saw something in us that was worthwhile and I think... I think she's lonely.... Looking for someone of near her age in mentality. Do you confer?"

Meg perched a brow. "If so, then what's worth while about you or me or even Ninotchka? Our talents? True I am thankful for what head mistress has done for me but some of these kids....uh" Meg started to glow. "Some act as if they can control their powers. Then there's the some that go A-wall." she paused for a moment. "Poor kid that Otto..." she murmered.

"Well... Ninotchka.... She's complex.... It's a symbiotic relationship there.... When I first met her she was sicker then she is now and knew no english.... She's-She's much better but she's still sick.... As for us. I cannot know, I do not know Georgia's mind nor do I know the politics of her race or her motives," Raine said before pondering what to say next, "Whatever the students may think of themselves, or how they act they are here to learn. It used to be that the students came here to learn, to fit in and find protection: they were all so afraid. They were all in great weakness, I remember the call that was made to the trees... Today's students I am not so sure of."

Meg sighed. "Do you think that if head mistress never made this school those children might of been experimented on by the military? Change them and make them into....things of chaos? If only..." Meg stared at the ground in deep thought.

"I do not doubt that many military's would take the chance to experiment, it has happened. In some instances the student populous has been a result of military operations, I remember just after the second world war when we had so many sick children, it broke my heart, we worked for hours and those whom had been sent here were the closest to death, or the ones with the most unusual cases," Raine replied thoughtfully, her head tilting lightly as the trees whispered to her, "There is something bothering you my friend?"

"I just remembered something, don't take thought to it. I've never liked the military lets just say." Meg shivered as she remembered an old horrid memory. "The military is horrible, if you ask me we could take them out with just the four of us. Or just send a bunch of banshees their way. Either way we need more protection for the children and their abilities. That annoying Feo kid would be the first on their 'experiment' list, or Otto. I just wish the head mistress would just do more about the military problem."

"The military hasn't been allowed on campus, for more then dropping off students and the injured, for over one hundred years," Raine replied, "If you are concerned about the campus, though, perhaps you'd like to help with the binding spells this year. When preformed correctly, they help to keep out unwanted guests and track the students. We can not retaliate against the military, while we may destroy them, they shall surely destroy our image. Being who we are, we must try our best to prove that we can be safe, that we aren't criminals; killing hundreds of possibly innocent people would most certainly do that harm." Raine paused for a moment, "You may not know the story I intend to tell you, then again you might. Do not let it or your past cloud your eyes with hatred, but, Miss. Ninotchka was a military experiment. She hails from far away, both in time and space, and the effects of what was done to her have haunted her through out the years. But she overcomes her hatred toward the people who harmed her so, and uses herself to teach children not to be used. It is our job to do so too."

"I'll help you Raine." Meg sighed. "I don't know Ninotchka very well. So forgive me." Meg looked towards a tree and saw a bird. 'If only I could forget what they had done.' she thought.
