Moto'Inzi was waiting for Kopa, and she wasn't very good at it. She was already getting used to all of the scholarly duties of... doing stuff. Being an adult was both weird and excellent that way. She had been doing her dad's job secretly for years, mostly because it was fun... plus when she was bored she could run away and do something else, and her dad would have the head start he needed to actually get something done. Which didn't happen very often. Either way, she had to get used to the whole "grown up" thing, and was still working out how many jobs she could get done via picking up the slack of everyone else.

Her energy, as per usual, never ran out. Even her father Ilori, who had initially claimed that his daughter would 'calm down when she got older' had failed to be correct, but Inzi didn't mind. Neither did Ilori actually. She made up for all of his inability to be productive with her own ability to be productive... in short spurts... with a lot of things.

"Kooooooopa." She called, first softly, then louder. She had been waiting for her friend almost an hour... but she had gotten there an hour early. Honestly, she had forgotten when they were supposed to meet, and had instead spent her time learning how to do a standing back flip. Thus far, it had been largely unsuccessful, largely due to... well, her being so large.

Her antics had been a lot easier when she was smaller and bendy. Still didn't stop her from trying though! Especially not when the lioness pushed herself into a hand-stand on her front paws, trying her best to keep her balance as she did so.

Kopa was currently trying to piece together two feathers, a small round thing and a string he found in the sand. The small round thin had a hole in it, and looked like a bead, but it was shiny and clear, but crackled looking. He was sure what it was, and never saw such a thing near or depicted on the temple walls. Probably dropped by a traveler, but it was bright and interesting and different, just like Inzi, so he was trying and failing at making her something from it.

It was supposed to be a necklace, or even to hang around her ear, but the string wasn't cooperating, and his claws were fraying the ends. He kept licking it, but it got soppy wet and wouldnt be straight anymore, wonderful.

He heard her call him, but he wasn't ready! He wanted to surprise her, but where could he hide it for safe keeping? There weren't any rocks around, and if he tried to keep it in his mouth until later he'd surely swallow it.

So he wrestled helplessly with the string, small thing and feathers until one feather blew away towards Inzi.

Inzi sighed, sprinning a little on her paws as she managed to keep herself suspended in the air, though only just really. And then she saw, much to her surprise, a feather blowing in her direction, floating on the warm desert wind. "Oh... how pretty..." She mumbled a little, though her sentiment was lost a little when it hit her in the eye.

"Ow!" She gasped, falling over and trying to blink the feather out, eye watering a little in the process. But she eventually managed to wipe it out with her paw. She blinked a few moments, shaking her head in surprise - as very few things ever really surprised her, when the chips were down.

"Where did you come from?" She wondered curiously, picking up the feather in her mouth and trotting down the dune in the direction she was pretty sure it had come from. After all, she wasn't really the best tracker... but she could run laps to figure out where the mysterious feather had come from!

Kopa, "Nonono!" he tried helplessly to grab the feather before the wind had swooped up and taken it away. He then after a few moments saw a form coming towards him, almost with a bounce in their step.

His ears fell back slightly, No! He wanted to finish it. He couldn't be rude though, "Inzi!" he called towards her while trying to shuffle his paws together to hide the small objects he had in the sand. It was noticeable though, that something had moved. If she wanted to wander today, show him something new, he'd have to take it with them, or he'd lose it forever.

Now what? Why couldn't he just make things with ease?

Inzi grinned, thrilled when she spotted him and bounded right over when she knew who it was. Well, now she knew why he was late! Well, taking longer than she was. She was still early, after all. Not that she would admit to that. Couldn't admit to that! Not when she'd found him, and she'd been so bored!

"Kopa! Hi! Is this your feather?" She asked, skidding to a hault beside him and blowing the feather in his face, though with no ill-will, only playfulness in mind. "What, did you grow wings while you were away? Are you a God and didn't tell me? I won't be mad if you are." She giggled, wiggling back and forth excitedly. She wanted to know what he had been up to!

He was acting awfully funny though. She wasn't sure why he was acting funny, but he was. Well, he was always nervous, which she thought was sort of... adorable. Well, completely adorable, and she would tell him such as soon as she spoke! 'Kopa' she would tell him, 'you are completely adorable!' and then he would blush, and she would laugh, and everything would be fine again!

Could he roll with it? Say 'Why yes, actually I am. I am the god of the nervous nillies that don't know how to act around others, especially girls because I had a sheltered cubhood. Also, I think you are kind of pretty, which makes this speaking conversation even harder. Enjoy the feather.'

He mentally smacked himself in the face.

No, just no.

"If I was a god, I would tell you Inzi, of course," why did he have to sound so formal? It didn't help that she looked like she glowed amongst the sand. No, that sounded stupid, he couldn't even be poetic. "I dropped, that, I was trying to make you-er, something," his ears fell back, "Guess it got away from me, I'm sorry."

Inzi, in shock for possibly the first time in her entire life, couldn't think of anything to say. And so she didn't think at all, instead spoke with a degree of complete sincerity, "Kopa... you're making me something? That's so... You're adorable!"

A grin split her face so large that it almost looked like someone had cut open her mouth so that she could smile even wider than should have been lionly-possible. She bounded forward then, paws open wide as she made a reasonable attempt to tackle him into a hug.

This was much better now wasn't it? She didn't have to think at all! Just do things as instinct told her, which at the moment was to give Kopa a big hug, and tell him exactly what she thought of him! Which was simply that he was adorable and she adored him.

"Ador-?" he tried to question but was promptly cut off by Inzi's arms and body weight tackling him. His back his the sand and he held in a cough. It wasn't that she was heavy, or large, no, quite small, dainty. oh! Why couldn't he find the right words? He was just taken by surprise was all.

His back against the sand, Inzi on top of him, his eyes were wide, a nervous smile-nervous lip twitch was on his mouth, his face was starting to get hot, almost red if you could see through his fur. Was it hot all of a sudden, he gulped.

"Y-yea, I was t-trying but, I can't find anything to at-t-tach the special thing."

Inzi giggled, snuggling up against him. Kopa was so soft and fuzzy. She just adored him for that! He was so honest and sweet and well... so likeable, even though he didn't seem to think he was. She could never understand how someone so nice could worry so much! She never worried about anything!

Well, except maybe Kopa. He needed to get out and about! Make some friends!

"You can take as long as you want Kopa." She grinned, nuzzling him a little, "You just have to take your time, and everything will work out!" This coming from someone who had never finished a project in her entire life. Sure, she started and came close, but then she finished up all the fun parts and got interested in something new!

But Kopa was always fun and exciting. Always cute and always funny... and he had such fun expressions too! She just adored him. "Thank you for making me something. I know you don't think you're very good at it." And, well, he wasn't. But that he tried anyway was so... so Kopa!

"I know, I'm sorry," he guessed it was best he never became a crafter, even though he liked doing it. She didn't move though, and, she was so close. It wasn't bad, it was close, but not in an intrusive kind of way. Felt like, like when two dunes almost come together, just barely touching, but being in one place.

Was that poetic? Could, he ever try to be romantic?

He gulped again.

"I've been looking though, and, it doesn't really fit into anything," he looked beside themselves, a little patch of sand was noticeably played with, the top of the shining stone peeking up and lighting up from the sun. "Its there, I don't want to lose it so you never get it, I thought of you when I saw it. See it there?"

Inzi glanced over her shoulder and hopped off him, though she noticed she wasn't nearly as happy once she was away from him again. Weird, how silly that was. She had known him since she was a teenager, but she'd felt a lot closer lately.

Now though, she leaned down and tilted her head a little to take a good look at what Kopa had found for her. It was so cool looking, as she swept the sand off of it.

"Where did you find it? It's so pretty!" She grinned, looking over her shoulder at him, "You're so thoughtful Kopa!" She told him, meaning every sylable of what she said. She couldn't help herself! He was giving her such consideration, she didn't know what to do!

"It was in the sand, I tried to look for more, but, it was windy," his ears folded down a little bit. He wished he could have found her a treasure trove of shiny stones, even so large that he could give them to Inzi, and Inzi could give one to every pride member and know that it was Inzi who gave gifts...not him. No, Inzi was more great for such a thing. He swayed his tail and smiled.

"I could show you where-ish, if you'd like, then...we could," he played with the sand beneath his right paw," walk for a while, if, you know, you want to. But if you're busy its okay!" He just loved spending time with Inzi, it was so much easier than everything else.

He could walk with her forever.

What did this all mean?

"Oh, what a shame." Inzi mentioned, leaning down and stretching a little, listening to him talk and watching him think. She liked it when he thought about things, he got such a cute pensive look on his face, like her other father. She found it all quite adorable, really.

Still, she liked what he came up with! "Come on! Let's go! Let's go! I want to see!" She grinned, completely thrilled with the idea, completely missing that he seemed a little unsure of himself. But she did adore him so. "Please! Come on Kopa, don't tease! I took the afternoon off so that I could see you!"

She turned and started heading... somewhere, then turned and waved for him to follow after her... or rather, show here where she was going. She could folllow him anywhere. Somehow, he was one of the few who never managed to bore her.
