 It was a bright sunny day and it was only a little after noon. A foal was just gazing at his reflection in the lake's water. His brown eyes slanted with frustration at his little wings since he couldn't really fly yet. Pulling away from his gaze upon his image and looking up at the blue sky. His little heart pounded with the desire to fly.
“Someday..” he quietly said.
His father wasn't a wind but his mother was, so hopefully soon she'd teach him. Bou was so lost in his thoughts he barely took notice of his surroundings. Did not even notice he strayed far from his mother and the rest of the herd.

"WOAH! This is so cool!" She exclaimed, lowering her head toward the waters more, to look at herself closer. Quickly she reared onto her hind legs playfully and dashed into the water, splashing and venturing as far as she could go without being swept away by the waves. While the lake was certainly not that big, it was pretty deep, and Windy, despite lacking much of it, had just enough sense to refrain from going too far. "Haha! I need to show RhyRhy and Zhea this place!" She laughed, galloping through the waters before screeching to an instant halt infront of another foal, and sending a wave his way that surely would've soaked his front hooves. Being as thick-headed as she could be when on an adventure, she had become acutely unaware of the other Soquili that had been at the lake's edge with her, and neglected to notice something very perculiar about this very colt. He had WINGS.
"OH WOW!!" She squealed, trotting to the side, ignoring her wet fetlocks and the pebbles stuck in her cloven hooves as she observed the feathers very much attached to the colt's back. "Oh this is so awesome! You have wings!" She exclaimed, smiling her brightest at the Wind Soquili she had failed to notice prior. "Hiya hiya hiya!! I'm LittleWind! What's your name why do you have wings you look so cool are you alone what are you going here you seem sad can I help?" She babbled, running off a string of questions and statements sure to overwhelm anyone who couldn't handle a chatty, hyper foal who was very busy admiring them.

A cold splash of water woke him up from his thoughts and his gaze was brought back to the lake again. His brown eyes blinked and he noticed a filly; she seemed to be talking but he didn't catch much of it. Bou backed away from the water's edge and notice the filly drew closer to him to study his wings. He tried to say something but didn't even get a chance to speak. Shaking his head a bit and giving off a little laugh.
“Man..you sure do talk a lot..” he probably came off rude without even thinking. She introduced herself during her little spew and he tried to remember her name through all of that chatter. He tried to think of an answer to reply to all her questions.
“I'm Bou, I have wings because my mother has wings and I'm not really sad. Uh..just frustrated because I can't really fly yet.” he huffed.

Windy marveled at the feathers on Bou's back. The curious filly she was drove her into fascination as she gazed, having never known Soquili could have wings. She had never seen a winged Soquili, though from her parents, she had heard of them. That conversation though, of course, was during a period of time when Windy had such a terrible attention-span for anything that she completely overlooked it. Even though now her attention-span certainly had gotten quite a load better, she had no knowledge of winged Soquili until now. She knew there were Soquili who were different, her chocolate-colored brother having the hooves and tail of their father, and she herself lacking the horns both her brothers had, but those were small things. This. No this, was HUGE.
Taking no notice to how rude Bou could've been, she skipped and laughed, rearing up abit in her joyous discovery. Windy adored learning, and now she had found out other Soquili had wings! "That's so cool Bou!" She exclaimed, wide and bright eyes blinking curiously as she looked around at him, just barely catching his name. As Bou told her the reason he was frustrated though, Windy immediately went into 'helper' mode. "Oh gosh! That must be terrible not being able to fly though you have wings. Maybe maybe maybe.. Someone should teach you! Your mommy has wings right? She can teach you! Or or.. We can go looking for someone esle who can! None of my family have wings. We all look alittle different from eachother!" She told him, hopping on her hooves as she smiled brightly, waiting for him to answer her.

The filly sure was hyper was all he could think as she rambled on. Though he couldn't help but feel a warm glow from her. Perhaps it wasn't so bad? He felt no negative vibe from this interaction and little did he know he had just come across her own brother a while ago. His brown eyes just gazed at her and shaking his head trying to get a word in, light winnie escaped him.
“Another wind type huh? I have a few in my herd..one with like three wings. Though she's pretty interesting looking..” the other soquili treated her with tons of respect. He knew nothing much of the angeni breed. He glanced up at the sky “I'm sure I'll learn one day! So what brings you here? I think I might have..wandered a bit far again.” he scanned around with a quick glance not really seeing anything familiar.
His mom will probably get worried and he didn't really wanna do that to his mom. His eyes blinked “Is this close to your home area?” he tilted his head to the side.

Windy giggled as he answered her, skipping on her hooves, smiling brightly, her discovery making her mroe bubbly than usual. Windy adored learning, and learning on her own is even better! Being taught is great, but figuring things out brought an un-matchable amount of satisfaction. Windy however, blinked as Bou mentioned a Soquili with THREE pairs of wings. "WOAH. There are Soquili with three pairs of wings?! Wow! That's amazing! Maybe I could visit your herd sometime! This is so awesome!" She exclaimed, whinnying in delight and excitement.
Hopping up abit, Windy also looked up into the sky. "I bet you will! I can't wait! Maybe someday I'll see you flying up there!" She exclaimed, smiling brightly. While Windy herself would never know the sensation of flight, she was content with how she was. While she'd definitely love to feel it someday, being grounded wasn't going to bring her spirits down. "I came here to play! I heard lots of water and I snuck away so I could see what it was! I'm glad I did too! I got to meet you and see this beautiful lake!" She exclaimed, shaking out her mane and laughing. However, at the mention that Bou may have gone farther than he should, she got worried, and unleashed a second barrage of questions. "Oh gosh! Are you lost? Will you be able to find your way home? Maybe you should come over back home with me? Do you think your mommy and daddy are worried? When will you return home?" She quickly ranted off, blinking in her curious, worried way.
At being asked something though, Windy paused and spun on her cloven hooves, looking around and then nodding. "Yup! Home is right.." She jumped to the side to face the forest. "That way!" She exclaimed, smiling brightly. "I live in the meadow with mommy and daddy and my two brothers! What's your home like? Can I visit? Will you be able to visit me? Did you ever think of leaving home?"

Bou gave a nod here and there to everything she said once in awhile throwing something in but other then that he listened. A small chuckle escape him “Yeah you could visit my herd one day! I'm sure they won't mind.” he thought about his little group. His little wings gave a little stretch a the thought of flying one day. He would love to feel the wind beneath his wings and hide among the clouds. He could only imagine what it would be like to fly in the moonlight's glow.
“Well I'm sure if they get to worried they'll come looking for me.” he nods.
His crimson red eyes glanced towards the meadow “OH! Really? I should be able to come visit now that I know where it's at, I could fly there.” he nods. Perhaps one day when he can fly and he is older he'll show up.
Glancing up at the sky again “Well you see..I kinda was close at home playing wait and scare in the tall grass. I came across another foal and he had these things..called uhhh antlers?” he nods. Giving a sigh “Then I followed a butterfly and found myself here..” he glanced around.

Windy perked up even more as Bou said he could visit her AND she could visit him! Glory be she had made a new friend, found a new place to hang out and was going to meet more winged Soquili someday! This was truly, an amazing day. Windy whinned with delight and laughed, rearing onto her hind legs momentarily in an expression of joy she did most often, before landing back on her hooves and blinking curiously.
"Wait and scare? How do you play that? Is it scary? Do we do lots of waiting? What do you scare? Do you like scaring things? One of my brothers likes scaring things too, maybe you two could be friends too!" Windy exclaimed, smiling brightly at the prospect of Rhydian perhaps gaining a scare partner. Afterall, Windy liked adventure more than scaring others, but she sometimes played with Rhydian anyway. Well. As long as she knew no one would get hurt. "Things? What things? Antlers? I think mommy told us about them before! They're like.. these branch thingies coming out of your head right? Both my brothers have them!" She exclaimed, proud of her achievements in remembering what antlers were. "There are more Soquili with antlers? Daddy doesn't have them, and mommy and I don't either, but somehow both my brothers too! They're kinda cool looking!" Windy proclaimed, hopping on her hooves innocently.
