He stomped off when he was finally allowed to leave the time-out area. How come he was being punished? After all that work it took to come up with a good lie to pin it all on Zheadeos and LitteWind, he was still the one who was sent to that tree! All by himself too! With nothing to do but rub against the tree. There wasn't even that good of a grass patch underneath the tree to lie on, it was mostly dirt and roots. Rhydian fumed. He sat himself down on the grass after he had gotten far enough from the tree and his parents. For good measure he turned his back on them also. Rhydian knew it was very childish to be throwing a tantrum but how come he was sent their so many times? It made him so mad! He pouted and sulked, prodding a few dandelions by him with one hoof. Looking over his shoulder, he stuck his tongue out at his siblings and glared at his parents.

"RhyRhy!" Windy squeaked, practically just appearing by Rhydian after he sat down, skipping almost as she trot around him, that innocent gaze in her eyes as she watched him sulk, curious. She had no idea what he had done to be sent to time out, having been way too busy analyzing a daisy to bother watching her brother. "What'cha do? Why'd mommy and daddy send you to the tree again? Are you mad at them? But if they did send you then you must've done something wrong! Mommy and daddy would've never sent you without reason." She announced, chittering as she hopped around Rhydian, hoping to persuade him up and to stop sulking.
LittleWind had always been curious of her brother Rhydian. He was, to her, the most different of the Chocolate, Cookie and Cream trio, being that he didn't have a tail like Zhea and her, nor cloven hooves. Plus those light markings he had didn't look anything like what her parents did either. She couldn't really say he was the most different, since the fact was her coloration was obviously the most drastic from their parents, but nonetheless, she still didn't understand why Rhydian was so different from her and Zhea. Plus, she never got to see herself much anyway. There weren't that many puddles or water sources for her to look into around where she liked to hang out.

Always shoot for the Moon... Zheadeos eyed his sister as she trotted over to their brother who sat sulking by the tree. The day was bright still and the sky seemed clear enough to keep cool from the sun. If they were lucky the wind would change and some rain would fall from the sky. He snorted softly and with a lazy trot headed to where his sister had gone to litter questions on Rhydian. She'd obviously missed his tongue stick out at them. Zheadeos had a feeling that one of these day's he'd get away with blaming them.
Zheadeos looked at the ground that surrounded the tree and them to his hopping and skipping sister. Out of his siblings he figured she was the one that was least like him, truthfully quiet the polar opposite to his quiet... usually quiet ways. He looked at Rhydian and shook his head. ...because even if you miss you'll land in the stars.

No sooner had he turned back around when LittleWind came up to him, rattling on already with a bazillion questions! As irritated as he was with his siblings and parents, and though Rhydian wanted to remain angry with them for awhile and give them the silent treatment, he wasn't a quiet foal. But no where near as chatty as LitteWind. And no where near as quiet as Zheadeos was.
So Rhydian couldn't help but answer her. "I didn't do anything wrong. Honest! All I was doing was gathering grasshoppers." His eyes shifted from the right to the left. He decided not to mention exactly what he had been planning to do with the grasshoppers. No need to tell everything! "So I don't have any idea as to why that was troublesome. I wasn't hurting them or anything." He insisted.
He was innocent! Well, sort of. Okay, not really.
He fidgeted by the rest of her questions. It was like she knew he wasn't innocent. Like she even knew what he was planning. But no way, LittleWind just talked loads and asked way too many questions. No way was she super smart and could read minds too! Their parents, on the other hand.....
"Nah. But if I were angry, everyone from all over would know about it." Rhydian refused to answer the rest of LittleWind's questions. Spotting his brother Zheadeos shaking his head, he finally got off the grass and walked over to him. "Don't you believe me, Zhea? That I'm innocent?" He questioned. Rhydian was sure he could fool LittleWind but Zheadeos, he didn't think it would be so easy.

LittleWind skipped around as Rhydian attempted to answer her. While she certainly was no genius, and surely lacked quite a stroke of rationality and sense, LittleWind did have quite a many of her facts straight. Well. At least enough to hand her some sense, and the knowledge that daddy and mommy did not punish them if they did nothing wrong. "You had to do something!" She insisted, poking her head awfully close to Rhydian's observing him strictly. "What were you going to do with those poor grasshoppers?" She demanded, putting a hoof down. While Windy was not easy to anger, she despised seeing things get hurt, even things like bugs. While she still had no idea what Rhydian had been planning with those grasshoppers, she had enough smarts to connect that grasshoppers plus time-out equals some sort of bad thing.
"RhyRhy! You're not answering me!" She complained, pouting as she trot around Rhydian, hopping almost. Windy was quite stubborn when it came to her questions. An unanswered questioning would mean a young filly stalking and annoying and bickering until an answer was given, or until the victim of this annoyance blew up on her and really showed her that it was none of her business. "Zhea! RhyRhy won't tell me what he was going to do with the bugs!" She shouted, pouting at the accused as she watched Zhea come over as well.
Windy took very little notice to Zhea's overall quietness often. He would listen to her, and play with her, no matter how stupid she or her games got. That was enough for Windy to completely overlook the fact that it was Zhea who was the one who was the most different from herself, instead of Rhydian. While surely it was Rhydian that physically was the most different from her perhaps, Zhea by far, personality wise, took the first slice of the cake when it came to being unlike Windy. "Zhea what's RhyRhy up to why was he sent to time-out is he lying to me was he going to hurt the buggies did you see what happened?!" Windy ranted off, cantering around her brothers.

Always shoot for the Moon... Zheadeos cocked his head to the sighed and snorted. Rhydian went on as if he was totally innocent as he spoke to Windy before he trotted up to him. Zheadeos shook his head with a soft snort. "Rhydian do I look like I was yesterday." He tossed his head to the side his short mane bobbed. LittleWind was getting vocal not to say she was getting loud but she was certainly beginning to talk more as Rhydian didn't answer her question.
Zheadeos sighed as Windy piled her questions on him. Like a none stop Cricket in warm evenings. He took a deep breath and looked at Rhydian. "Why didn't you just answer? Regardless of the fact that she really gave you no chance to answer. Zheadeos stomped his foot on the ground and sighed again. "LittleWind of you want your questions answered dear you need to allow time for them to be answered." Zheadeos looked about and found a small patch of grass. He trotted over to it and ate bowed his head to gather a bit.
After he'd chewed his bit of grass he cocked his head and looked back at his siblings. He thought about trying to bolt but figured he would lose them, so he trotted back over to LittleWind and Rhydian. "I can't tell you what he was up to I doubt he was going to hurt the crickets." ...because even if you miss you'll land in the stars.

LittleWind thought she was so smart. And so did Zheadeos. Rhydian pouted. No one was believing him, when they were supposed to! He had to have his way, he just had to. Rhydian wanted to go and sulk some more but he wouldn't because he was no baby. Besides he already had his daily sulk, he wouldn't allow himself to have another.
"Zheadeos is right, LittleWind. I wasn't going to hurt them." While Rhydian had plans for them, those plans didn't involve the grasshoppers getting hurt. At least in his mind they sure didn't. Only thing he ever imagined was alot of crying and it wasn't him. "Only one who might accidentally hurt them would be my....." He stopped. "No wait, forget I said that!"
Rhydian's face heated up. LittleWind caught him off guard, he thought on hurt grasshoppers, which didn't happen in Rhydian's ideas, and rambled on. Now LittleWind knew extra details! His plan was ruined. "Great," he looked over at his brother, "I answered most of them now." He didn't look happy about that either.
The whole plan. Completely ruined! Well, truthfully his plan was ruined for awhile now because of his inability to sneak by his parents. It was also ruined because he failed at lying and finally dad set all the grasshoppers free so he was back at the beginning again. "It's so unfair. I was so close too. And I spent days looking for them all." His shoulders slumped as he thought of all that wasted work.

Windy pouted as Zheadeos just about scolded her on her questionings. How could she help asking them so fast? She just needed to know after all. The world was too big, and she was too small, and Windy would not accept that. She wanted to know just how big this world was, and there was no time to loose. About to answer to Zhea proclaiming that he did not think the bugs would've been hurt, in the most cheerful manner, Windy was taken aback as Rhydian slipped. With a harsh gasp, Windy reared up and turned against Rhy.
"RHYRHY! So they would've gotten hurt!" She exclaimed, going full pout upon her chocolate brother, offended that he had been lying to her, though indirectly. "How could you?!" She asked, huffing and shaking out her short brown and black mane. "Zhea!! RhyRhy said that the buggies could've gotten hurt! What was he going to do?!" She wailed, running in a circle and picking up a bunch of dust around her hooves.

Always shoot for the Moon... Zheadeos dropped his head and exhaled a long sigh. Rhydian had let slip that some how the cricket were going to be put in a position in which they would have been hurt. Off she went on a tangent about Rhydian and the crickets. After his sigh Zheadeos lifted his head and sent a brief glare in his brother direction.
Zheadeos ran his hoof over the dirt floor of the forest that was by the tree."Windy please calm down. There was the possibility that the crickets would have been hurt however Rhydian would not have directly hurt them, as to what he was doing with them or rather what he was going to do..." He rolled his shoulders slightly meant to be a shrug. "Rhydian would likely have to tell you. I could guess but there is no guarantee that I would guess right."

"Might've LittleWind! Might've!" He shook his head vehemently. "But why not? It would have been hilarious if they all jumped out of their hiding place at once and scared someone. I think it was a genious idea." Rhydian nodded and grinned mischievously. He unfortunately said what he was planning to do with them but now Zheadeos and LittleWind could see for themselves how harmless the prank would have been.
"Now since I wouldn't have hurt them, the only possible way they would get hurt is if the someone I would have pranked stomped on them all!" Rhydian frowned. "But I would have honoured them all for their help! I wouldn't forget them!" He insisted. Although when LittleWind said they could have gotten hurt, Rhydian was feeling guilty by his idea because he didn't think it all through. He'd know better for next time.
"But haven't you ever had an idea for a prank, Zheadeos? And you, LittleWind? Bugs are all over the place and they spook tons of horses. Er.....well I think they would!" Rhydian wouldn't admit it to his siblings but a grasshopper had scared him one time. He didn't know they jumped until it jumped on his nose! He almost fainted it was so scary.
Rhydian doubted they were as tricky as he was but maybe he was wrong. Maybe they were even as mischievous as he was. Besides, if they had good ideas, Rhydian could always borrow them.

Windy gasped and whinnied in horror as Rhydian revealed his plans and how the bugs could've gotten hurt. They could've all been stomped on and would've DIED! She quickly glanced at her hooves to make sure she herself wasn't stepping on any bugs as she walked, now, very thankful for the crevice in her hooves that allowed only a small area of her strong hooves to touch the ground, thus minimizing the risk she might accidently kill something she couldn't see by stepping on them. "Omigosh they could've been killed RhyRhy!" Windy whined, pouting deeply at her troublemaking brother as she now cautiously stepped around the dirt. "Why would you do such a thing? Not only to the poor bugs but also the the poor Soquili! What if all those poor bugs died?! Who were you going to scare anyway? Why do you always do these things RhyRhy?" She asked, rambling off again, and looking back and forth between Zhea and Rhydian.
"But what if they did get hurt Zhea? What if they all died or something! What would mummy and daddy say? What would they DO?!" She exclaimed, shuddering and shaking her head in the horror that might've been. Windy gained quite a flabbergasted look on her face though, when Rhydian asked her if she had ever thought of ideas for pranks. Windy was never the one to cause trouble on purpose. Afterall, she'd be hurting those she loved, and no way in heck would Windy do that. "Why would I think of causing trouble on purpose? Do you think I'd do it RhyRhy do you think badly of me now?" She whimpered, pouting in Rhydian's direction. "Zhea! Why do people play pranks? Are they supposed to be fun? Do people get hurt? Would you pull a prank on someone? Did you ever have any ideas?" She ranted off, twirling around from Rhydian to Zheadeos.

Always shoot for the Moon... Zheadeos had a feeling he knew who Rhydian had planned to scare and he merely shook his head. It would have been slightly funny to see it pull through though Zheadeos would admit no such thing to anyone ever... okay maybe but most likely never. Much as he'd hate to say it there were tons of the little bugs to go around everyday they were likely trampled one. Rhydian was right that most others really weren't fond of the hopping green fella's
Zheadeos watched as Windy spun herself around between him and Rhydian. He stomped at the ground shaking his head. "If they got hurt they'd have their mommy's make them feel better. That's what our mommy does. And Mommy well... She'd likely get mad and Dad would punish Rhydian... which he did." He looked up at the sky and noticed some more clouds were rolling in. "Pranks are funny to the pranker I suppose. Sure people get hurt but not always usually it just feelings." Zheadeos merely shook his head at the last two questions. He'd not tell and outright lie so he'd merely shake his head to not answering... only he hoped she'd take it to mean no was his answer. ...because even if you miss you'll land in the stars.

Maybe he shouldn't of said anything, maybe he shouldn't of even answered any of her questions when LittleWind first started talking to him. Rhydian didn't want the bugs to get hurt either or die but with LittleWind, it was like the end of the world! He looked over at their parents, hoping they hadn't heard anything. Somehow he had a feeling he'd be in trouble again if they heard his sister. She wasn't crying, thankfully, but Rhydian wasn't sure if she would start bawling soon or not. She was tough, kinda like another brother but she was still a girl and Rhydian was sure they cried more often than boys.
"Shhhhh! Don't be so loud, LittleWind. It doesn't matter who I was going to scare with the grasshoppers, Dad set them all free. I can't use them on anyone anymore." He looked over at Zheadeos for assistance. Maybe he'd have better luck at calming LittleWind down. Rhydian knew he was horrible at it. "I like to trick others, is that really so wrong? It's like a game, don't you like games, LittleWind?" He pleaded with her, trying to make her see that he was right and hopefully she'd quiet down.
What would their parents do if the grasshoppers had gotten hurt? Well mom probably would have been scared since Rhydian was kinda thinking of putting the grasshoppers where mom and dad slept. But then afterwards he'd be punished most likely. Didn't LittleWind see? The grasshoppers were gone. All gone. No way for them to get hurt. Well until it was their time to go. "But there is no what if LittleWind. They're fine." Rhydian shook his head irritably. Why did she have to make him feel so guilty about something he loved to do?
He whirled on his brother too, curious what he had to say about pranks and tricks. Rhydian nodded with his brother. "That's exactly right." He agreed. "We can all laugh it off later, it's harmless fun. See, LittleWind? Zheadeos doesn't think they're that bad either." He breathed out easily, hoping she'd be all right now. "Why would I think badly of you?" He asked surprisingly. It was crazy, he wouldn't think badly of his sister nor his brother unless they totally tattled on him when they caught him in the middle of performing a prank.

"Buggies have mommys too? I've never seen a buggy mommy. Where do they all go? Do you know Zhea, RhyRhy? Did you all ever see a buggy's mommy?" Windy ranted off, going off on a tangent as something new piqued her interest. Yes, this was surely true, she had never seen a bug's mother. Or either of their parents. Windy thought upon this for a moment, before Zhea continued talking, watching him shake his head. "No? Then why does RhyRhy do it?" She asked, pouting, still alittle confused as to how pranks were 'fun'. She jumped abit when Rhydian scolded her though, and she pouted, very tempted to simply get even louder, but completely forgetting it when Rhydian told her that daddy had set them all free. "He did?! That's great! Now they'll all be safe from getting stomped on!" She exclaimed, her childish view of the world being almost to the point of stupidity.
"That's good! Don't use the buggies again for pranks though!" She warned, pouting again before returning to her bubbly persona, giving Rhydian a nudge with her nose, before skipping around her brothers again. She skid to a halt and tumbled onto her rump however when Rhydian answered her question with a question. Blinking curiously, she looked back at him and scampered back onto her hooves. "Well I don't like pranks like you do and um.. I ah.. Well hurting things are bad so then maybe people would think bad of me if I hurt things!" She exclaimed, pouting abit. "Zhea and RhyRhy will always love me though right?" She asked, smiling brightly, expecting the obvious answer. As much as Windy despised things getting hurt, she would never hate Rhydian for it. She adored all her family, and nothing could ever change that, no matter how much they changed from her the brothers she knew. She was like her mother in that way, that she would automatically go into the fight response if any of her loved ones were about to get hurt.

Zheadeos sighed more and more he had to confirm more and more what he was saying. "LittleWind dear why wouldn't they have mommies. We have mommies so why wouldn't they" He stomped at the ground and lowered his head to hide a slightly sour look. So many questions. He sighed and lifted his head back to his sister. "You don't have to know where they are or have to see them to know they exist." He nudged LittleWind. "RhyRhy did it cause that's who he is. Just like you ask so many question cause that is who you are."
Zheadeos lowered his head to nibble on some grass to allow Rhydian some time to respond to LittleWind. When he'd eaten some more and Little Wind got on to them loving her he nearly gagged on the grass he was nibbling on. After he coughed up what was gagging him he turn to LittleWind with a look of flabbergastment "Of course we'd always love you! How could you think otherwise. Your our sister" His end look was a look or a mixture of hurt and confusion.
