Greetings, Genterns and Gentlemen. I'm Scaramouche, and though I rarely post here, an occurrence happened the other day that I thought might bring a bit of a smile to your faces. I was driving with my young sister (she's ten), and as we live in the middle of nowhere, the radio stations are horrible. Usually, I have my iPod in the car, but I'd forgotten it, and the only CDs I had in there were Repo! and an hour and a half of bagpipe music. Since she didn't seem too receptive to the second, I carefully played selections from the first. (She's ten, so I had to censor it a bit.) She seemed very interested in the story as I explained it to her, and she made me promise to let her watch it when she was old enough. But the best part of this story came about when I was explaining the character of Amber Sweet.
Me: "She's a rich girl who's obsessed with plastic surgery and wants to be famous. She's played by Paris Hilton, which makes a good deal of sense." My Ten-Year-Old Sister: "Who's Paris Hilton?"
It made my day.
