[For Luhria and Dgcakes!]
It had been a good few days after Syrelia had returned, packed up the kids and house (again), and moved everyone to the new estate. That had been fun and now she had a gaggle of cranky, tired kids on her hands.
She promised them that they would do something fun over the course of the next week and now that it was here, she had them all suited up to swim and was taking them down to the community pool. Lily knew how to swim already, of course, but the three littler ones could do with some lessons.
Releasing her eldest to splash freely in the water like a little fish, she took her younger daughter and twin sons, all with floaties and little ducky intertubes, over to sign up. Gavin was happily making his spit bubbles, Noah was again trying not to float off, and her mother was keeping Gabrielle from throwing a tantrum in line. The poor witch had her hands full.

Shortly after they got in line, a tall blonde woman arrived carrying what looked like a cross between a snake and a kitten, all wrapped into a little girl. The toddler made a mewing noise and waved to the little ones up ahead of her.
Lam smiled politely to Syrelia, bouncing her daughter a bit as Cookie waved. "Hi there."

"Kitty!" Gavin exclaimed excitedly, immediately making grabby hands at Cookie. He liked kitties. Or anything fluffy really.
Gabrielle just gave her brother a petulant look and a loud 'SHHH,' stomping her foot, something that made Syrelia return Lam's smile with a wan one of her own. "Swimming lessons, too, eh?"

Cookie mewed again and reached out towards Gavin. He seemed fun! She hissed a bit at Gabrielle but continued her mewing anyway - no shushing, stompy girl!
"Yep." Lam laughed, "though how well this one will take to them I'm not sure."
