Brendon was still in a foul mood. He couldn't figure out exactingly how to write the perfect song and the male felt usless. He wanted nothing more to just fall into a dark hole and fall forever, maybe that would stop him from thinking about how much his heart hurt. He has a hoodie pulled over him the hood up to hide his face and his guitar stuck under his arm strumming out a random slew of chords that didn't make up a song, well not one that he had actually written down. It was his heart song, The chords were low and sounded just as sad as the male looked. His dark chocolate eyes closed tight as he tried to find anyplace but here to be. He wanted to talk to Spencer or Holli about this but neither one wanted to hear about it. He felt so alone at this moment in time.
Spring was here and there was a huge smile on her face. The red head stepped out into the world this morning, bare foot and raring to go. The morning was relatively cool; the perfect time to go exploring and just basking. Since it was cloudy, that means her skin wouldn't get any darker than it was. Caroline was so tan, her freckles stood out so much. Today her hair was tied up in a random ponytail that looked messy. She dressed herself in a pair of blue jean short shorts that showed off her legs, and a tank top with her favorite accessories to go with it. It was too warm, in her opinion, for hoodies and jeans.
Walking along, she heard some music. Well, the beginnings of it. her curled ears twitched and her curiosity was piqued. It was as if Caroline was moving on her own towards the sound. Her bare feet made very little noise as she walked, her ribboned tail flicked back and forth behind her. "Pretty..." She said without thinking.

Brendon jumped as he heard the voice. " oh... thanks." He muttered to the girl flattening his light ears to his head as he turned his head to look at her. " Its nothing really... Just what ever my fingers decided to play." He sighed looking down at the girl and then at the girls toes and her shorts. " Your going to catch a cold. If Holli caught you dressed like that she'd have a cow." He mumbled nibbling on his lip and looking at her as he laid his head on his guitar. He was sure that he wasn't in the mood for a conversation. but if someone was here he'd talk.
Caroline's ears went back when his did and she saw the heartache and sorrow on his face. Then he regarded her clothes, and Caroline shrugged. "I don't know a Holli, but I'm sure it's ok. It is spring after all!" She said, trying to cheer him up. "Look around you? Everything is in bloom, and it feels so wonderful out here!" She crouched in front of him to meet his eyes and tilted her head to the side.
"I'm Caroline. Why're you so sad on such a pretty spring day?" She asked, actually sitting in front of him so he couldn't really look away from her. She liked when people looked at each other, especially in the eyes, when they talked. It was how she grew up. It was only polite, so she tried to ask the same of others without vocalizing it.

The male sighed, " I'm sad because I'm heartbroken." He picked around on the guitar a bit but really didn't make anything of a song. " I don't have anything good to sing about and absolutely nothing to smile about." He told her shrugging slightly and looking away from her eyes. The last time he'd looked into someone's eyes he felt horrible about it. It was right before he saw Maisie last. He sighed and looked back up. " I don't like the spring." He was lying. " The flowers only remind me of love and that only makes my heart ache worse." Brendon loved the spring. There was always birds singing and the bright sun and that gave him a million things to sing about, but lately his song had been stolen from him.
She listened to him and got the gist of what was wrong with him. He was either broken up, or about to be. Caroline licked her lips a bit and wiggled her toes, thinking hard. Her tail tip flicked in time with the non-music notes and she looked up with a bright smile on her face.
"Sure, spring is about flowers, but do you know something about it? Everything that grows here in the winter, everything that thrives here in the winter, is dead. And in it's place is new and pretty things. I don't know anything about your situation, but looking at the prettier things is better than thinking about the dead ones. With every beautiful season, something from the previous season dies. Be it trees, people, love. But the next season, something new is born. New saplings, babies, new romances. It might take some time, but something good always, always follows something bad. That's what spring is about. At least to me."

Brendon let out a light laugh. " That is true," he told the female his eyes fixed on the grass in front of his so that she wouldn't see the tears that had built up in his dark orbs. " But, I'm not ready for it to be another season." He was honest trying to keep his voice from cracking as he didn't want to cry in front of the girl. " Sometimes new season's sneak up on you and Jump you when your not ready for it. They surprise you and since your not ready for it you get hurt." He told her clearing his throat and trying to blink the tears away. This girl was sweet but she didn't need to know all of his problems, Brendon cursed himself for being so open with so many. "Ya know... I wouldn't feel so friggen bad if this wasn't all my fault." He told her meeting her eyes for only a few seconds praying there were no tears left for her to see. " I kissed her with out even asking. See, if I would have waited and gotten to know her better, things would have gone perfectly. Holli wouldn't be angry with me and Spencer wouldn't be upset, and her and I would be together. More than all those things, I wouldn't be hurting this bad." He flicked his eyes down to the grass and the guitar that was in his lap. " I set myself up for failure."
"One never sets themselves up for failure. It sounds to me like you were following your emotions. That is never, ever a wrong thing to do, so long as it isn't a violent feeling. And yes, seasons will sneak up on you, hurt you even. But pain is the world's way of telling you you're strong and alive. You'll live through heartache, you'll live through losing a girl you thought you'd be with. I'm not telling you to not be sad. Heck, I'm not really telling you anything other than there is a brighter world out there, if you just look at it."
She saw the tears in his eyes and she was compelled to offer a hand for him to squeeze. Physical contact made everything better. Even if it was just a simple gesture like this. "Don't worry. If she got mad over a kiss, then maybe she isn't the girl for you. If she liked you, like you like her, she would have accepted it, even if it was early on in the relationship. To me, kissing and hugging is a sign that you're comfortable with someone to get that close to them. Sex is something that isn't done until you know that person. Cuddling and kissing just help you." She looked to his guitar and gave a grin.
"Write out your feelings. If they're hurtful lyrics, just let them flow. It helps. It's an artistic release."

He didn't think he was capable of it, but there was always a first time for everything. " It''s not good to write hurtful things. It only gets back to the other person and hurts them, and I don't wanna hurt her. At all..." He sighed and shrugged taking the girls hand and giving it a light squeeze. "I'm the kind of cat who doesn't like to look at the light in times like that and I guess that's a huge flaw for me." He was being honest and that was how he felt most of the time. " I don't want things to be better right now, I want them to be back to the way they were before all of this happened." He nibbled on his lip squeezing her hand again. "Am I a bad person?" He asked carefully. He knew it wasn't something to ask someone he just meet but he needed to know. Right now Brendon felt like scum and he wanted someone to tell him he was worth it.
Caroline squeezed his hand and kept it there. She scooted next to him and wrapped an arm around his shoulders, tugging him close. She didn't care if they didn't know each other. She wanted to hug him, and he needed a hug right now. "Not at all. Most others in your situation would want the same thing. It doesn't make you bad. But you can't rewind what happened, you can't undo it. You can either wait until she's forgiven you, or move on." Her free hand came out to play with Brendon's hair a little bit before giving him a laugh.
"I still don't know your name. You either never said it, or just didn't catch it. But that's alright. I don't have to know your name to cheer you up." It wasn't like she was treating him much differently than she would anyone else. But there was something about Brendon that made her want to just make him smile and laugh. He probably had a wicked smile. Even depressed he was pretty. Well, handsome. "If you just need to scream and cry, I can stay here for you. When you're done, we can go eat something. Eating helps a bit."

Brendon sighed slightly as much as he didn't like it he knew that the girl was right, he could either wait forever for Maisie to like him back or he could just count it as a loss and try to make a new life with a new girl, who would love him back. He shrugged at the girl, " it still hurts no matter how right you are," he sighed carefully leaning into the girl as she played with his hair. He loved his hair being touhed that alone made him feel a little bit better.
He listened to the girl speak about not knowing his name and he looked over at her tilting his head at her some, " oh... My name... It's Brendon." He shrugged and wrapped his tail around himself and he ran his fingers threw his silky fur. " what is your name because I don't think you've said it either." he told her

Caroline watched him battle with himself and gave a small smile when he came to his decision. She pulled him a bit closer to her and nodded, still running her fingers through his hair. "I never said it wouldn't. But you will get stronger, and probably find someone who'd love you back." Her tail flicked happily behind.
She wasn't an expert on love, she hadn't know it herself, but she knew that it was easy to fall in love, but hard to stay that way. A relationship wasn't effortless, it was a constant thing that had to be worked on and shaped right until it was. And if he had to work on making her fall for him this hard, well. ....In Caroline's opinion, no girl was worth that. "Caroline. Most call me Carol, though. You know, like the song Sweet Caroline?" She rattled off singing, her voice thick and silky, though a bit rough. A good country voice if anything.

Brendon smiled as the female sang, he liked being this code to her, but more than that he loved listening to others sing. Just the way the girls flowed Brendon couldn't stop the grin from spreading across his face, " that a very good song," he told the other wiggling away from her and picking up his guitar to strum along, " nit my favorite but very fitting to a girl like you." he shrugged at he slightly the smile starting to fade from his maw.
" do you sig often? Because your voice is lively sweet Caroline." he told her a small smile apearing back on his face but fading quickly again. He didn't want to talk about himself at the moment, he was boring and lame.

When he picked up his guitar, Caroline laughed and sang along again. But when he asked his question, she nodded a bit. "I sing all the time. It makes me smile, and sometimes others sing with me and it turns into a big thing, you know? Singing is a pick-me-up." She adjusted her skirt a bit and watched Brendon carefully, looking at his face.
"You should smile more! You look so handsome and younger. I think frowning makes everyone look a few years older. So I avoid it." She laughed a bit more and laid down in the grass, using her arms as a pillow and just looking up at the sky.

The male laughed and shook his head as he listened to her, " Theres not much for me to smile about right now... I don't see any reason at least." He was telling the truth in his world, everything around him was falling down. He knew that two of his best friends were angry. " If there isn't much to smile about, then really theres no reason to waste the energy." He shrugged and played a bit of nothing on his guitar. " Well... I sing a lot. Singing is my favorite things in the world to do." He shrugged again as his fingers skirted over his guitar.
" Singing is my favorite thing to do in the world actually." He for some random reason felt like telling the girl random tidbits about himself. He wanted her to know everything that made him, well... him.

So he adored singing? Well, she kind of figured that, but now it was confirmed. "We'll have to do a duet together or something! Since we both enjoy singing..." She nodded and pushed her hair away from her face while looking to him from a different angle. "Hey, you know, Brendon? We should get something to eat. I'm kind.... of hungry."
She pushed herself off the grass and attempted to get up too quickly.... Which managed in her falling right back down and sitting on her tail. With a yowl she rolled over and grabbed the gray tail, examine it and then pouted. "Oh, fudge. I did it again! I get clumsy from time to time."
