This is a suggestion for the format of new Rp's. First off it might be beneficial for people have some sample rp skeletons that could be used with fancy lettering scripts in it and stuff.
Another thing; not sure if this applicable to anything but song requirements in rp skeletons. What I've seen in the past for some good rp's is they would require you to have a kind of theme song to your character so you can listen to the song while reading the rest of the profile and get that certain tone the creator was looking for.
Now that I think about maybe there can just be a suggestion in sample rp skeletons if they were made. Wait...I've got it, a sample rp skeleton with descriptions by each line telling why its there and what it does to help form the character in the readers mind.
Annnd I'm the first one to reply here, woot! *kirby dances* <("<) (>")> <("<) (>")> <("<) (>")> <("<) (>")> <("<) (>")>

Ehm... I'm not quite sure I followed all that about sample skeletons. Care to elaborate?

Oh, the roleplaying character profile skeleton. e.i. Name: (enter character name here) Gaia name: (enter gaia name here Appearance: (insert picture or link)
You get the picture. It would be for new people or someone that wants to start an rp that simply doesn't want to go through the hassle of making one from scratch and just modify a existing rp skeleton. Also it would be a way for people to show very elaborate and pretty looking rp character profile skeletons.

I think what kroska is trying to say is just basically make a long list of code of every possible thing a character could possibly need to make a profile. And notifying new members which information is important and should be used on ALL profiles. Do you get what he`s trying to say now?
Like, for example, how the profiles have to be a certain size. Stuff like that. Just so new members get an idea of how they should be making their profile skeletons and also giving them the means to make their own. Skeletons to base their skeletons on, so one would say...

Ehm, well, usually in a roleplay there would already be a character profile or two (made by the author for their own characters) as an example.
And if they're experienced roleplayers as they should be here at NNR, they wouldn't need all that. I'm just not exactly seeing the usefulness of it.
If the author of a roleplay wants the profile a certain way, they can just add the size and colors and what not to the code in the profile skeleton... or they can explain that in a post. Since each roleplay is different, I think the specific details of the profile skeleton should be left up to the roleplay author.

Yeah, I think the ideas were for the roleplay authors.
(And as a long-time roleplayer, I have never made a roleplay myself. I would be hesitant to make one, including a profile skeleton. I think a general format for people to see might offer them ideas to get something started. That`s all I`m saying.)

Okay... well... I guess I'm just off the circle a little bit here. (I made that 'off the circle' thing up, if you hadn't noticed surprised ) To me, it seems simple to make a character profile skeleton. I mean, it's just the obvious Name, Age, Appearance, Personality, Crush. Basically. I suppose it's simple for me, having created a few roleplays myself, and participating in many others.
But now I think I can see your point, Kroska.
@Katty - Would you check my post in the 'Planning on Being Absent?' topic? I am super eager. Oh, and, whenever you do get around to it, I think it helps to imagine Amos sort of as a Jack Sparrow type o' guy.

@Sparrow: Yeah, well it was just a suggestion of course. You've got things down pat in this guild it seems so I'll have to post in the guild a lot more before I come up with another suggestion.
Thanks for talkin with me about it.

I know we have roleplays here in the guild but I'm sure some of up have roleplays over in barton as well. How about a place where we can link our favorites and maybe share the love?

That sounds like a great idea! I'll create a topic soon (today or tomorrow) just for that!

GoldenSparrow That sounds like a great idea! I'll create a topic soon (today or tomorrow) just for that! *squeals* Thank you Golden ♥ I can't wait to see what everyone is involved in and shameless plus any of my roleplays. I find a lot of great ones threw my friends rather then surfing barton since we have the same roleplay style and expectations. I know they aren't going to suggest anything bad or overdone. Can hope for the same thing here.

This pickled vegetable...I heard a rumor that someone had already made a suggestion to make a thread for examples of profile skeletons for RP authors to draw from.
I'd like to second that idea.
Or, if you're no longer discussing it, I'd like to re-submit that idea. ... could kick your a** !!

Sparrow, if you and the crew are willing to help me on this, I have no problem with making the forum to help authors with their profile skeletons. We could even make it a forum where people could brainstorm their roleplay ideas as well.
