Hey guys, Death and I have been talking and decided it's high time we collectively established a technological base line of what sort of things your characters can expect to run across and use in this guild of ours. This is going to be a shared process and we can use everybody's input. Their are more technologies out there than either the two of us could come up with alone, so as we go and start to list stuff we would greatly appreciate your feedback and suggestions which will greatly help to fine tune things to the balanced level we want it to be. After all, too advanced and ninja might start to be obsolete. Well at least in the structure of how we use them. So with out further ado the process of figuring this out shall begin.

Common
- Light Bulbs [Old style; no LED's]
- Gas Stove
- Basic Refrigerator
- Modern Food Packaging
- Sowing Machines
- Printing Press
- Toaster
- Watch [Analog]
- Telegraphy
- Electricity [Each village has it's own generators which they guard fiercely in order to be independent from the outside world. Power costs enough that appliances are usually kept to a minimum.]

Less Common [Semi-Common]
- Kevlar [Cheap to produce; what chuunin vests are composed of]
- Radio [Normal and individual; headsets among ninja teams are both common and affordable but are not very secure]
- Motor Boats
- Steam Ships [The most common form of goods transportation by sea]
- Assembly Line [Usually only found in larger cities.]

Uncommon
- Television [No cables between villages mean you only get local/limited TV. Power costs make long range signal transmission impractical.]
- Polaroid Camera [Large and loud with the flash and all making it impracticable to take on stealth missions; no moving photos.]
- Trains [Steam engine; few places have tracks laid down; only in more advanced countries.]

Rare
- Biplanes [Runways are few and far between; range is low; mostly used as crop dusters.]
- Automobiles [Old style 30's; slow top speed make them easy to outrun for ninja; very few roads and most villages are in places that are hard to access by them meaning you'll only see them in the biggest cities where most tech is produced, aka not here.]
- Basic Computers [8bit to 16bit floppy drive; costs the equivalent of $200 to $300]

Super Rare
- Advanced Computers [Pentium 2 to 3 level; expensive costing in the thousands of dollars range.]
- Airplane [WWII era; only one airport around used to get from this continent to the next; very expensive, only the rich bother with it.]

Banned [Some Exceptions For Villains]
- Rifles [Old style; very few shots; round bullets; long to reload; aren't very accurate; they exist but are banned in most countries that have a ninja village.]
- Handguns [Slightly better than rifles; easier to conceal; they are very expensive and only the very rich can afford them; also banned in most countries that have a ninja village.]
- Missiles [Very rare and expensive to produce.]
- Internet [No wire infrastructure between villages exists to carry a signal.]
- Rockets [Vehicle technology isn't advanced enough.]
- Satellites [No rockets, no satellites.]
- Cell Phones [No satellites, no cell phones.]
- Helicopters [Ninja forbid their development since they don't need as much room to take off as airplanes making them much more dangerous.]

Hmm... I do think I will give my character a watch then. I do enjoy watches...
