The sun sat high against the early morning blue hues of the sky, its rays beating down on the earth below it like a nice warm blanket. It was surely a sign that the day would be good, not too hot, yet not too cold, unless you count the spring breeze that could sometimes turn the season back to the feel of winter. Either way, the day seemed good so far, though one could never know with so many hours still needing to pass.
A lone stallion stood out in the field, his mix of brown and orange standing out against the green of the grass. He had his wings spread out to full span as if he was getting ready to take flight. However, that was far from the case. In reality he was actually using his wings to take in the suns rays in an attempt to warm his body, kind of like how a snake suns itself to wake itself up and highten its temperature.
Zaitus gave a snort as he shook his head and let out a yawn. His body felt regulated and warm once again, however he didn't feel much like moving since he mind was still clouded. That didn't stop his mind from pointing out the birds that chirped from a nearby tree within the surrounding forest.
"Damn birds. Why don't they understand that just cause they're awake it doesn't mean everyone else is..."

there were times when having a dark coat came in handy, and now was one of those times. It was early afternoon, and the sun was little more then a promise of a warm day. She suspected that in an hour or two the subtle chill would give way to spring warmth. Until then though, Dmi had her dark chocolate pelt to absorb the sun and keep her warm. The thick falls of her ebon mane may also have helped.
Tall grass tickling along her legs, Dmi wandered through one of the many fields in the valley, aimlessly, but in high spirits. Of course she was usually in high spirits. It wasn't optimism, per say, but more she delighted in having the freedom to live every day to the fullest.
She expected to run into other Soqs, specially considering how the peeking of the sun hinted at what was bond to be a beautiful day. She had not expected to run into Zaitus. Not that she minded, the young wind had an endearing trait about him, and Dmi found him amusing. She had also just recently found out that he was the sibling to another of her friends.
The family resemblance really was hard to miss, she could admit not, but she hadn't been thinking about it the last time or two she'd run into him.
"I just keep running into you."

Silence, the still of nature, at least that is what is seemed like for the time being once the birds at chosen to silence themselves, for the time being anyway. The silence was a call that Zaitus no longer had to hold a glare in their direction, and could finally move on with his day.
His wings slowly folded to his sides and sat comfortably in their position. Though he knew how to fly, the young stallion never took much time to the sky like others whom were given such a gift. The most working out his feathered appendages ever got was stretching out to soak up the rays, or little movements when he got annoyed, bored and angered.
What could he say, he was a Wind whom preferred to keep to the solid ground unless he needed to fly, or a certain Kalona told him he had to fly.
His hoof scrapping against the ground for a moment, Zaitus stretched out for a moment before turning and making his way to the forest. Sad to say he didn't get 3 steps in before he had to stop at the sound of a voice and the birds shooting their way from the tree tops to the sky.
"Hmph, if this continues then maybe I will have to just so ahead and say you are stalking me"
He turned and gave a smirk towards the familiar older female.
"But that could be it, could it?"

Aesthetic similarities, and personality, it seemed. She was curious if the third sibling was the same. Dark hooves flattened the long grass as she waded through it to get to the wind stallion, flashing him a smile. His response earned him an amused snort and a face full of tail as she crossed his path, circling behind him. He'd looked her over the last time they'd run into each other, now she was returning the favor.
"Oh please, I don't stalk. I have no need to." Honey colored eyes rolled.
Back at his side, she looked up at him, a single brow quirked upward, challenging him to say other wise.
Dmi had an ego, more then that really. The teachings of her sister had sparked it all, but the continued attentions of stallions only made it worst. Zai was a youngster though, barely an adult, and while he was very handsome male, he didn't hit her radar. If anything she felt protective over him and his sister.((Sorry, short!))

One, two, three, this was the third time life had crossed their path in what seemed like the blink of an eye. He had remembered seeing the mare once when he was only a child, but back then no words had exchanged. Once more when he had started his journey in to the world as a newly sprung adult, and he could say the short meeting was musing. Now here they were again in the twilight of the afternoon.
The young life watched with careful as the dark coated mare made her way towards him. Maybe he was watching a little too closely since he seemed to snap out of half daze when his mouth itched with the taste of hair.
His face contorted with a weird look as his tongue played around and tried to get the taste from his mouth.
"Tch." he snorted and looked down at Dmi, his own brow raised, and eyes glinting with mischief. "You have no need to, or do you just have too much time on your hands, so you need something to fill in those empty slots? Or is it that you just can't resist my presents even if we've had little time together?"
The young stallion chuckled and shook his head. True, they couldn't say they knew each other for all their lives, or that they spend endless amounts of time together, but Zaitus could say he did enjoy having Dmi around for company. He brought her amusement, and he was sure he repaid it by bringing her amusement to.
Plus, in a way, though he knew very little other company besides his family, he felt lucky to have a chance to make a good friend, one besides a certain other stallion from colthood, and the company of Illidan.
"Ah, but no, really. What is your butt doing all the way out here?"

Friends weren't generally top on Dmi's priority list, she had a small handful, her sister, his sister, but not as many as one would think. Not that she didn't treat her friends well, she did, she just spent the majority of her time in the company whichever stallion she happened to be interested in at the time. Currently that was Boone, and it was such a new little fling that Dmi found she had no interest to go looking elsewhere. She found herself with free time, and she'd decided to take a walk.
She laughed as his mouth moved, ridding itself of any remaining strands of tail that might have lingered. She loved her long tail, it provided an excellent 'weapon' when needed.
"I have no need for it. Enough attention comes my way without having to go out of my way to find it. You do make decent company though." She was teasing. In their brief meetings she'd found their personalities clicked rather well.
She flattened a sad looking stalk of wild flowers. Most of it's petals had fallen off and it was spindly and bent. Really she was doing it a favor.
"Way out here isn't so out of the way. Besides, I'm a wanderer, I never stick to one place very long. Kind of like a gypsy." She smirked, more to herself then the young stallion. Amused by her own observation.

The stallion cocked his head at the observation the mare made upon her self. A gypsy? He knew very little of human relations and terms outside of own notes on what he saw from his own travels and interactions, which was just added by what he had heard others say about humans and their habits.
Lucky for him, he did have some meaning and connection to the word, other than the common "Gyspy Vanner" horses he usually saw running around. Though, he would admit if he made that connection he would probably end up looking slow and stupid for that moment.
With a half shrug, Zaitus turned to make his way towards the forest as he was doing before he was "interrupted". He didn't know if the mare would bother following him, and if so, where he would end up leading her since he had no idea where he was going anyway, but what would that matter since going in blind could be fun at times, and create the greatest adventures.
"A gyspy huh? Don't tell me you go around doing the silly stereotypical schemes and acts some say those two-leggers do. Or are you more along the lines of tricking men out of their hearts and running away with them?"

With nothing better to do with her time, Dmitrria fell into step beside the young stallion, yawning softly and giving her mane a soft toss. It was pretty early in the day still, and Dmi had only been awake for about an hour. She was entitled to a yawn or two before noon.
"From what I've been told, human gypsies trick and scheme to obtain money. I wouldn't have any need for that."
She chuckled softly, and rolled here eyes at his second question, twitching ears forward as they entered the forest. It was good to be alert within the covers of the trees, there could be things lurking.
"Nor do I have any need or want of anyone's heart. I'm only ever looking for a little fun." Fun and freedom, those were her great desires out of life. Anything more serious then a fling was out of the question, and children? Forget it.
She was not a mare to be tied down to anyone or anything. The most serious connections she maintained were family and friends, though even to them she was flaky and unreliable.

"Oh, is that so?"
As the pair entered the forest a feeling of relaxation and acceptance filled the stallion's heart and mind, for the forest is where Zaitus felt he truely belonged. Though he was technically a species built for the sky, one could suppose Zai was sort of like a penguin, someone who never found real reason to take the sky, but keep to ground. He could guess it was his snake side that he took from his father, better to keep the the ground and take in the sun than take to the sky and end up falling like a fried chicken.
"I kind of find that odd, yet interesting in a way, since most I have met around...your generation are usually paired up by now, and if not that, then at least looking to settle down."
He chuckled to himself as a thought passed his mind. "But I suppose you may just be young at heart...or in denial cause of a midlife crisis..."
