Kaida had been putting this off for a while because this seriously wasn’t a talk she should have to have with her daughter when she was still so young. But eventually she knew that if she put it off any longer it would never get done. So with that in mind Kaida had asked Victoria to meet her in their living room and was currently waiting for the girl in question to arrive.

Victoria being the mindful child she was easily complied to her mother's wishes of wanting to have a talk. She, however, didn't understand why this 'talk' couldn't have happened in her room... The living room wasn't private at all. It was a place that Lucifel could easily make a plan of attack and succeed.
She was currently walking down the hall with a book in hand and a pencil in the other. Having told her dad that she'd have this lesson finished up by the end of the day she was busy trying to wrap it up by scribbling down the last few answers to the test.

Kaida had chosen the living room so that neither of them would feel trapped in the uncomfortable conversation to come and had asked Cassara to keep Lucifel out of the way for a while so that they could have this talk uninterrupted. When Victoria entered the room she stood up with a smile, putting the jewellery box that had been in her lap on the table, and went to greet her with a hug.

Victoria being practically one with the book was caught slightly off guard by her mom's hug. But she quickly, eagerly returned it. She wasn't quite sure why her mom was so excited to see her... After all she had just been in the room down the hall- not like she'd gone out in the middle of the night again.
She smiled and sat the book down on the coffee table. In the process noticing the jewelry box. She wondered if this was going to be a right of passage talk... or, something along those lines.

Ushering Victoria into a seat once their greeting was done she sat down next to her and pulled said box towards her again, fiddling with the key in the lock as she thought about what she was going to say. “Well sweety, I’m sure your Dad’s also going to give you a similar talk soon if he hasn’t already but this is about, well, how mature you are in some ways whilst not in others” she said slightly nervously, hoping Victoria got the message of what this was about without her having to spell it out.

"I'm not a bird nor a bee and I'd appreciate not being treated like I'm three," Victoria said with a sigh. She knew it was her parents job to inform her of such things... she just really didn't want to discuss it with them.
She wasn't one to talk much about person 'affairs'. She was a rather private person who considered prying to be rude.
"I know you have to... But, can't you just skip to the end." It was worth a shot. "I'll just read a book or something..."

“Oh goodness no, I’m not giving you that talk, your dad can do that, even if it seems like you don’t need it. No this is similar but a bit different. Knowing you know about the birds and the bees then you know about the act and exactly why your Dad acted like he did, its natural as a parent for us to jump to conclusion because we want to protect you. But those conclusions where unfair on you, we knew intellectually you’d never do something like that but we forgot that for just a second there and it hurt you. So with that in mind I want to give you something that’ll remind us, and you, that that thought is completely wrong.” She said opening the box with a small click and revealing a practical treasure trove of jewellery, glittering brightly under the lights. Deftly sticking her fingers among the tangled pieces she plucked out a ring. Holding the ring out to Victoria she said completely seriously, “If you take this ring I want you to take it as a promise to us both that as long as you wear it you haven’t taken that final step, this doesn’t forbid anything else as much as I’d like to horde you away from the world, and it relies on your honesty but I’m willing to never doubt you as long as it’s a finger on your hand.”

"A promise like that is easy to make now," Victoria said after a moment of thought. She pulled all of her curls over her shoulder and twisted it. "But, what about tomorrow or whenever when the situation arises." At this moment she was thinking it through out loud more than questioning her mom.
She looked over at the ring and then up at her mother's face. "Can you honestly say that you waited? Or, dad for that matter?" The promise would be even easier to make if her parents had managed to do so. If they hadn't then well she knew it would be a hard task to manage and thus a promise shouldn't be made. She believed that you should make promises you cannot keep.
((Cassara was 13, 14 ish...))

Kaida didn’t speak up, instead she let Victoria think through it, she could say all she wanted but in the end it came down to Victoria.
When Victoria asked her if she could honestly say that she’d waited she replied straight away, because she could, “Until my wedding night I was virgin, I can swear you this.” But when Victoria asked about Vlad she hesitated for a moment before sadly saying, “Your dad wasn’t so fortunate to have the choice.”. If Victoria asked anymore on that vein she wouldn’t answer, that was plenty enough for Victoria to get the horrifying vague idea but the details where Cas’s secret to tell and she wouldn’t betray her trust, she was after all one of the very few left alive that knew.

Victoria let go of her hair as she looked away. Though she didn't express it she got the general idea of what her mother meant with her hints of her dad. She sighed softy.
"I can promise you I'll not whore around but that is the best I can do," Victoria said as she looked back at her mother. "I won't make a promise I cannot keep... and, I don't know what tomorrow holds for me."

“To try your best is all that I can ask for then.” Kaida said softly placing the ring in Victoria’s hand and closing it around it whilst softly kissing her on the head.
“That’s all I wanted to speak to you about, though I think your dad has something else for you.”

Victoria smiled as she gave the ring in her hand a squeeze. She then wrapped her arms around her and hugged her. "Dad's not going to try and kill me is he?" She whispered.

Kaida returned the hug warmly before giving a small laugh at Victroia’s last comment. “Don’t worry, I made him promise to leave you in one piece.”. Giving a soft sigh she pulled away, she could hear Vlad coming now. “I hear him coming, I’ll leave you both to your conversation, love you.” With that Kaida left, satisfied that she’d done all she could reasonably could do for Victoria’s situation.
