i'm part of a hockey guild but it's filled with flyers fans that have no idea what they're talking about

there's seven games per round and whoever wins four games first advances
the first round is the conference quarterfinals where 1-8, 2-7, 3-6, and 4-5 play each other
the second round is the conference semifinals where the top seed plays the lowest seed and the other two seeds play each other
the third round is the conference finals where the last two remaining teams play each other and the winner moves onto the finals where they'll play the winner from the other conference
