Azzo had been sitting on the porch his Grams had left for the next week or so to visit family in the country. Azzo, however couldn't go because he had school and appointments with Mr. Nguyen. Not that he minded, he just missed the last place he remembered as home.

He sighed the newspaper in his lap, the headlines showed more work of the 'terrorists' and what not. Hands behind his head however, the boy was laying back on the porch and had been staring at a spot on the ceiling.

It wasn't long before he actually drifted off, he was still tired, it still showed. As he didn't keep nearly as clean as he normally would. He'd let himself go a bit in order to keep from actually falling over. He still attended kickboxing, one of the MA instructors there had taken up with him as well. Mainly teasing him to make him work out his anger more. It kept him calm, however no matter hard he tried he couldn't comfortably sleep at night.

However, at that particular moment he'd let his guard down and relaxed enough to doze off. Unaware that people might actually stop to bother him or talk to him. He didn't mind either, it kept him from thinking too much, it's why he had the paper and was reading it until a few minutes ago.

She couldn't quite remember how she had gotten Azzo's address, days of googling and asking people who might know him tended to blend together. And even then it had taken her some time to work up the courage as her nightmare involving him had left her nervous about what seeing him would entail. But eventually worry and concern had overrode her fear and thus the hunt had begun.

It didn't help that she hadn't seen him since they got caught up in that one battle. Well and when she had visited Yvette in the hospital but they hadn't really chatted.

And so, here she was making her way up to the porch of his grandmother's house hoping they could talk. She had moved for the door only to pause as she caught him asleep in her pathway. Melody blinked at him a moment before shaking her head and letting a small smile cross her face. Kneeling down, the blonde moved to gently shake him awake.

"The stairs can't be that comfortable to sleep on, pup."

Azzo had a slight twitch when he was asleep, like a cat or a dog. Mostly his facial muscles, nothing overly worrying. However when he felt someone touch him and shake him awake and the voice he bolted to sit up. Some how narrowly missing knocking heads with her.

His eyes wide in a slight panic. His dream with her in it hadn't been any comfort either. Considering she'd turned into one of those monsters. He blinked, once, twice, and then shook his head to get his focus back.

"Oh." He said softly looking at her still sleepy eyed. Rubbing at his eyes for a second he murfed, "What are you doing here?" He asked, it wasn't how'd you know where I live or anything like that. It was sorta close though, he sighed looking at the paper in his lap then to the blonde.

She had hated to wake him, he had looked so adorable when sleeping! But when she had come all this way to see him...

His panic had worried her, but when it vanished to a sleepy look she fought the urge to coo and simply just continued to smile. Darn him for looking so cute!

"I can't be worried about you and come to see you?" she asked, arms crossed against her bent knees.

Azzo blinked curiously as she spoke and tilted his head, "Well... yeah you can." He said before stretching and looking at her again.

He gave a yawn before he could say anything else, "Want to come in?" He asked despite it being a nice day he had probably been outside a while. Being about as white as white could be he didn't want to burn.

He knew he would as well. Standing he offered her a hand, to help her up. "Grams is out of town." He added so she wouldn't be expecting the old woman. "Might be a good thing since she loves to stuff cookies down people's throats."

It was true, granted not as rough as he made it sound. She would generally pout however when no one actually took the cookies. Then again she was known to try to sneak zippy backs of cookies in people's purses or backpacks.

Taking the offered hand, she pulled herself up and smiled brightly. "Sure. Though I'll have to make it a point to come back by when your grandmother is home, I'd love to meet her."

There was a part of her that hoped his grandmother would be a lot like her own, though she knew the chances of it were slim. Always she found herself a bit jealous of those who still had their grandmothers. Not that she'd say anything, it was just always a bit of a sore spot as her Gran had been so dear to her.

Moving her hands behind her back, she couldn't get rid of the smile on her face. She was probably blushing too, but she hoped Azzo wasn't paying that much attention. She was still trying to come to terms with her feelings for him anyway.

"So how have you been?"

Azzo headed to open the door. The neighborhood was nice enough, small, but they had a decent sized yard. None of that crackerjack box crap development stuff down the way.

The house looked sort of small, though large enough for two people to live comfortably and possibly a third or fourth. "Yes well, she'll be back sometime in the next week or two. She went to visit friends back home." He said in a matter-of-factly tone.

He opened the door for her and held it before shrugging, "Tired. What can you do?" He paused for a second to make sure she was inside before entering behind her. "Trying to figure out if I like this Edward Nguyen fellow as well." He added with some what of a, I really wish Grams would'nt've harped me so much tone. It wasn't that he disliked Mr. Nguyen, it was that he disliked having to get help to get his life back in control.

The living room was spread into the kitchen, with a bar diving the two rooms. Everything in the house seemed antique, some of it was slightly country, not all however. The TV seemed to be actually one of the newest things in the house.

He seemed to think, "Want anything to eat or drink?" He asked curiously.

"Oh? Where did your grandmother live before Destiny City?" she asked, entering the house so he could get in. Of course it was his choice to play the white knight and hold open the door.

It was a cute little home, really, spacious in it's own right for a small place. Though on the other hand it definitely had that old woman feel to it with the antiques and country charm. Which wasn't a bad thing.

"Tired, huh? Who isn't now a days?" She'd heard stories of some other girls at Crystal Academy having nightmares, keeping them up late constantly. It bothered her to think that whole city was falling prey to such things.

Would she be able to find the source if she kept patrolling the city? Some how she doubted it.

"But I guess that means you've been having nightmares too. I'm sorry, I can only imagine what your dreams have been like. Hopefully nothing like mine." Hopefully she wasn't ******** with his mind as he had in her dreams...

Turning to face him again, after getting her fill of the house's charms, she gave a small smile. "No thank you, I'm good. But who's Edward Nguyen? And why do you have to see him?"

Azzo shrugged, "A few towns over. It's one of the smaller ones." He said as he sat on the arm of the couch after she politely declined the offer of food and what not. "Feel free to have seat anywhere." After he finished saying that he let himself slip backwards landing on the sofa a bit roughly. Normally he wouldn't be doing that, but he was tired enough he could care less. It didn't hurt the Sofa to do that every once in a while. There was still room on that sofa for Mel as well as another sofa and an arm chair.

"Nightmares?" He said with a laugh, "More like Night terrors. I'd rather not think about those though, they make me feel sick." He said with a frown, almost reluctant to admit the last part.

He'd pushed them away into the back of his mind where he couldn't think about it too much he had other things to worry about. He paused, "Why? Because Grams thinks I'm battier than a bat out of hell."

He shook his head, "Though I can't say I haven't thought the same thing." He sighed, "Mr. Nguyen I guess is best described as a local quack for the schools. I heard he travels to Hillworth and Crystal too." He gave a shrug.

"I can't tell him some things though. Like you know being able to track those stupid Youma. I just know I'd be thrown in the nut house for saying, 'I have a sixth sense. I can follow these monsters that are frigging huge and look like they could bite a man in half. That's what the terrorists are after you know. They've saved me a few times.'" He paused and looked at her almost pitiably. "I don't want to end up in a straight jacket Mel. Grams needs me more than I need that kind of help."

Watching him, she remained standing as she'd feel she was imposing if she sat down. A silly thought she knew, but it was how she was. Wait until they offer, never do anything before hand.

That and she kind of liked just getting to stand there and watch Azzo. Something she couldn't do everyday because they went to different schools.

"Oh." It had to suck to have some one think you were insane enough to send to some one for help. She was lucky in that aspect too it seemed. Though it probably helped she just accepted that this was the way things were in her life and she wasn't going to go through hell to get another outcome.

Even if she had gotten another outcome anyway.

"I'm sorry, Azzo. Is there anything I can do to help?" It was probably too late for that now, she should have asked if she could help the last time she saw him. Stupid Melody!

"I-I mean, I'm not qualified to help you like this Mr. Nguyen can.. but I'd like to help keep you out of a straight jacket anyway I can."

Azzo looked over at her, holding himself up with his arms. Peering over his legs which were dangling over the arm of the couch. He sighed and let himself back down before patting the couch. "Sit." He said softly, not in a commanding way but more of a, I'd rather be able to look at you without actually having to do psychical work.

He shifted slightly to get more comfortable Despite the awkward position he was laying in. It seemed was like a dog in more than one way. He could sleep just about anywhere and his hair looked like puppy ears. Who knew what else there was that made him like a puppy.

Azzo heard the question, it was almost hallow to him. He doubted there was much that could be done. "Get my parents to believe I'm alive?" He muttered almost disdainfully. He didn't hate both his parents, just his father. For the moment though he disliked both, for the fact they don't believe he's alive.

He sighed, "Thanks Mel." He added softly, despite the fact she wasn't qualified for some reason it made him feel a bit better that she wanted to help.

He sighed, "You were in one of the dreams..." He said there was only a brief moment that he remembered, that he allowed himself to remember, and not blocked out unlike most of the rest. Granted there was no way he'd tell the whole thing, he shook his head thinking. Wondering if he should tell her about that nagging feeling he gets when he's around her.

Glancing around she found a chair to sit in that was close enough and took a seat. Hands that had previously been in her lap moved to cover her mouth as he shifted to get comfortable. He looked so much like a dog right then, too cute.

Though the giggle and her mood seemed to fade when he brought up his parents. She remembered briefly that he said his parents still thought him dead and it was a thought that still troubled her. Her heart went out to him and she wished she was close enough to take his hand in comfort.

"I-I would if I could, Azzo. Really... But I'm not a miracle worker and I doubt your parents would listen to a school kid who looked like she belonged on the streets of Harajuku." At least she thought that Harajuku was the right area in Japan where the ganguros tended to gather, she could be wrong.

Would being a senshi qualify as being a miracle worker she wondered? Next time she saw ********* she'd have to ask. When he mentioned his dreams her train of thought vanished and she looked at him.

"Oh? Was I?" She didn't know if she could tell him he was in one of hers.

Azzo watched her take a seat, now looking at her almost upside down. When he saw her happy mood fade he wrinkled his nose. "I was joking. They'll never believe. Well..." He paused thinking.

"My father will never believe and in turn not let my mother even bother to check." He figured it was his father that got the news first. He was almost curious if his parents were still in that small town instead of traveling. If they were he'd be very crossed, but he hadn't dared call his old phone number. They'd probably do something stupid like move him back there and away from Grams, and Destiny. Even though he missed his old home, he couldn't leave this place. Not while Grams was living.

He tilted his head, "Harajuku?" He asked puzzled, where was that? It wasn't something world history covered. At least not where he was or had attended classes at.

He nodded after a second, "Yeah." He said softly, with a wistful sigh. "Lots of bad things where happening..." His mind was trying to shut down. His skin started to creep with goose bumps. "I saw my mom too.... I mean.... I know it was her.... I didn't actually see her... but...." He stopped obviously trying to not sound upset. "She basically said she wished I'd never been born."

His face twitched before he shook his head, "Then you were there, and well... for whatever reason I felt like I could cling to you... that you were the only one that'd make it all be right again" He lolled his head back to look at her again, "Crazy isn't it? I mean no parent in their right mind would ever say that."

It was the mental scars he held, perhaps his dad was to blame. Perhaps the year missing had nothing to do with the shame and the crazy notions he had. Maybe it was all his parents fault, he closed his eyes shaking his head, pushing the all to familiar thoughts away. Something in that organ ring had to have screwed his head up so much that he was blaming them for it, despite his father's ill will.

He sighed goose bumps still on his skin like he was cold, despite the warmth of the weather and the house wasn't cool enough to cause any sort of cold chill. He half chuckled, mind still wondering, he forced it back towards the feelings that he felt when he was around Mel, a lot of them hard to put a hand on. She was here, it would be easier to focus on people that cared.
PostPosted: Sun Apr 11, 2010 6:39 pm

She was moving from the chair before she could even think about what she was doing. Was at his side before it fully sunk in. Was hugging him as best she could, head against his chest.

She wasn't really sure of what to say in reply, because some parents did say that to their kids. She hoped his mother would never say anything like that to him but there wasn't a way to find out. Not if his father was being such a d**k.

"I'm sorry," she murmured against him, hiding her face suddenly. The injustice of it all made her hurt, made her want to cry and scream at the world because no one deserved to think about life as he did. To wonder if his parents loved him.

"You won't go through this alone. I won't leave you, Azzo. I won't hurt you, I promise."

Azzo's hand idly played with one of her pig tails while the other warped around her in an awkward hug. He sighed softly listening to her, he resolved he had to tell her. However, he'd delay it as long as possible.

"It's fine Mel, you're not the one that needs to apologize." He said softly, that was the truth. He gave a soft smile when she said she wouldn't leave him. He was a chipper fellow for the things he had bottled up, he wondered how long this stuff had actually been bubbling up inside him, like an infected wound. It was probably just now to a breaking point... what would it take to keep him sane?

He paused and shook his head, "Mel..." He said with another pause. "I have to tell you something... I've been trying to make sense of it since we met... but I can't..." He started out trailing off waiting for her to look at him again. It was hard to get into words what he actually wanted to say.
