We all know it's nice to have money, but how necessary is it? How important is it to you? Why is cash such a huge deal?
I see it this way: Money is no different than a fork or spoon or any other utensil; the fork gets the meat and potatoes from the plate to my mouth, while money gets the meat and potatoes from the store to my plate. Money is a utensil to me and not much more.
I hate to sound like a "hippie" or whatever, but money seems to be a weapon, a staus symbol, a tool of destruction; not to mention a method of control.
It may not be that serious to most people. But have you ever just stopped and thought about the adverse effects viewing money as a status symbol can have on people?? confused

I can't even get into this - I'll be in here all upset and whatnot...
This issue is a hot one with me, to be honest, since people seem to think I have a lot of it. I just don't see the point in hoarding when I could be doing some good with it. I only have a limited time to be on this Earth, and there's no guarantees of how long that will be. Meanwhile, I'm sitting on this pile of cash?

I agree; I think you should have enough money to keep you comfortable, and have some stored away for emergency use, but I don't see the point in sitting on billions of dollars that you're not going to use. There are millions of people who could use some of that money for food or clothing.
