Stress does crazy things to us, if you're feeling really overwhelmed is there anyone you can talk to about this outside of your situation? A doctor or therapist? That isn't to say 'blarg you're crazy you need help' but more to say that a little bit of outside perspective really does... well, help.
If you type in Crisis line and your general location, you should come up with a number for a crisis line near you, use it. They've saved my life before.
