Angel Sanctuary is an anime and manga.

The anime consists of 3 episodes, based on the first 4 volumes in the manga series.

The manga series has 20 volumes, 11 of which are out in America.

In my opinion, the story is amazing, and the artwork is truly beautiful. Kaori Yuki is a gifted and highly talented manga-ka, and deserves recognition.

In Japan there is a Lost Angel Art Book with Angel Sanctuary related images. I happen to have it, and it is amazing. The funny thing is, a lot of the pictures have rather gothic themes, and depict bondage,

The purpose of this thread is to discuss Angel Sanctuary (anime and manga) with fellow fans, and maybe get more people to read it. In my area (Moco, MD) it is relatively unknown. My friend turned me onto it, and in turn I've turned other friends onto it.

I guess I'll start ^^;

My favorite character is Raziel. He's so cute and naive, but is shrouded in mystery. I love how caring he is. I think he really loves Zaphikel (not in THAT way, but as a more father-son way) and really admires him, and is willing to do just about anything for his protector. And the whole thing with the I-children in volume 11 shows just how caring he is. I'd love to have him as a friend, because he'd be so loyal, but I'd also want to look after him.

i really like the art in Angel Santuary and the story is kinda complicated and confusing, but good too.

i only have 1-3 of the manga and haven't seen any of the anime yet
