A sort of continuation of the Clan and Race selection threads.
With the great details that's being placed in the Character Creation (supposedly you'll be creating your perfect for hours).
Lets say its as detailed as a game of D&D what you want your perfect Character to like?
For me I'd take my Caucasian Forester Elf, make him average sized, either silk-like long white or black hair. A very young face, blue eyes, and maybe red or black a few facial markings that are under the eyes and end in points. No scars, I'm not big on scars. And he would have a young voice. I'm a big fan of anime so I like creating characters that are either just out of high school (since I am just out of high school personally), or just entering High school.

I would have to see the actual possibilities before deciding. Personally, I want a character that looks to be in her early 20s. Teen years give me nightmares. Average to short in height or freakishly tall. If I have to choose size, it's going to lay in one extreme or the other. I've always liked silver hair...I blame Sephiroth. Don't know yet about a hair style. Tan skin, but not so tan as though someone would think you never went indoors.
I need more info before I can decide anything else.

Yeah me too, but by the way they're describing I feel there's going to be a LOT of options.
I sorta wish they released a demo video or flash based demo of the character creation process.

It really depends on what race i pick. If its a miqoute most likely in early 20s with red hair and green eyes. If its a lalafell then as cute as possible 4laugh . I'll likely make one of both races tho.
They should release a little downloadable character creation thing like some games do before the game comes out. Though i highly doubt they will.

Most likely a Dunesfolk Lalafell, probably mid/old-aged but looks really young. Silver or White-coloured hair, and tanned skins. Probably Heterochromia condition with black/red and white coloured irises. Probably a Ruby Gemstone. Dorn in primary black and secondary maroon. If possible an inscription of tattoo vertically across the white-irised eyes like a scar.

I have two characters planned out right now that I'll decide between once I get more info on clans.
My first choice is a Highlander. He'll be tall and muscular with a slight tan and a few scars and one large scar on his chest. His hair will be medium length and his eyes will be both gray and blue if the multicolored eyes are available to Hyur. If not they will just be gray. I want to make it looks like he's learned to fight for himself and finally decided to take up adventuring.
My next choice will be a Midlander. He'll be tall but not as muscular as the Highlander would be. His hair will be a light brown and short. He will only have 1 scar, a small on over his eye and his eyes will be blue. I want him to be more like a classically trained swordsmen, possibly with some local military service.

Very nice, I wonder how long till Square removes those however.
The system itself is about what I expected. I'd rather have locked in forms, hair styles, colors etc. with a drop down bar. Instead of sliders which could take forever to properly get right.
Though I'm very impressed with how detailed it is at only the Alpha right now. I can't wait for official videos that give examples of the final version.

I hate how every creation video I've seen was of lallafel. As a matter of fact so were pretty much all the gameplay videos I watched.
Man I really hate those little footballs. Haha. Still, that 2nd video gives a pretty great idea of the customization options. I can't wait!

I just hope there are enough options so that there is only one me running around. wink
I want to be Hume but since almost 40% of people pick Hume kinda makes me wanna be a different race, any one else feel similar.

I'm leaning towards hyur female but I might choose miquote seeker of the sun. I'll make my character look like me, like my gaia avatar. I'm not sure about hair style though, I really want to see a hyur creation screen, it's crazy how popular lallafel are >.<;

A few articles have showed up on random sites, but i just want to say you can buy masks and glasses for your characters and they show up. I wonder what other items their might be like this. earrings, necklaces, rings, maybe even scarfs?

As for my perfect character? Well, I've shifted from favoring the "battering ram" type characters to stealth, from the MGS-style agent to the hunter. So, I would ultimately prefer a male Mithra (or whatever they call it now). I realize that's impossible... but they're the most naturally adept hunters of the group.
I won't go into hypotheticals, though. So, if I don't play the SeaWolf Roegaydn I remember wanting to play in XI, I'll be a dark-tan Forester Elf, skin similar to the one on the site. Fairly young, early-to-mid 20's, I'd say. More gaunt facial features, and I would hope you could make their clothes more tribal, because I think that would definitely capture what I'm going for. Unkempt roughly shoulder-length silver hair, and I want to say either red or yellow narrow eyes.
