High-functioning Counselor

 It was a typically spring night with clear skies and a small breeze in the air. Frogs were chirping in the nearby marsh, but other than that it was quiet.
Nebula had come to her favorite spot in a valley clearing. She loved coming her to relax and be one with everything. Most of all she came to gaze at the stars. She was in love with them and she wished that she could live among them.
She lay on her back dreaming about how she could manage to reach the stars oblivious to everything else in the world.

 Twil winged his way through the night sky savoring the feel of the evening air in his fur. This was a truly wonderful time of day, the moon just starting to rise, the insects beginning their nightly serenade...He let his mind wander before catching a glimpse of something or someone below him. He smirked a bit before furling his wings and then alighting near what he found to be a female.
"Greetings of the evening," he said with a slow smile.

Nebula had been startled by the voice, and jumped up from her laying position on the ground. "what the heck" she turned and looked toward where the voice came from. She noticed an dark handsome winged male standing there.
Nebula blushed, "Oh, where did you come from, I didn't notice you." She was a bit in awe as she had yet to meet anyone outside of her small knit family.
She realized her statement had been a bit rude, blushed even more, and said "I mean Hi"

Twil shook his head. "Its fine. And to make along story short, I came from the sky, I was flying around partaking in the loveliness that is this fine night, and before that I live in a very small acceptable domicile not far from here."
Twil let his eye rove over the femme, taking in her colors. She was much like himself and blended in with the colors of the evening or morning sky. Quite attractive in his opinion.
"My name is Twil." he crooned softly.

Nebula was listening to him until he said he was flying...than she drifted off into the thought of what it would be like to fly.
She heard him state is name. Twil. After a pause she stated kind of spacey, "Oooh, Hi Twil...I'm Nebula."
After another pause what he said caught up with her.
"You live close? So do I. I can't believe I've never seen you. Though this is about as much as I get out."

Twil chuckled amused at the female's tone of voice. "A lovely name." he said with a nod. "And I don't get out much during the day. I prefer the cool light of the moon and the whisper of the night breezes to the light of the sun and all its rush." he finished casually settling down on his haunches and curling his tail around his feet.
"So you too are a merry wanderer of the night?" he asked with a teasing smile. "A noble profession if ever there was one." the smile growing slightly larger.

Nebula smiled.
"Thanks. I do enjoy the night a lot more. The stars are just so beautiful. I usually stay home during the day and help around the house. When the day is over I get time for myself. I wish I could wander around at night as a profession, that would be really cool."
She was starting to become really relaxed, and enjoyed talking to someone different.
"So is that what you do...wander," Nebula said back teasingly

"Wherever it is that the night winds take me." he said with a nod. He stretched out his wings then slowly furled them against his body again.
"So you live with others?" he asked. "Nothing wrong with helping others if you enjoy it." the end of his tail twitched slightly as he slowly tilted his head to look up. "And the stars are a wonderful thing. Something to be enjoyed by all...but few do. Its a shame."

Nebula gazed at the stars with a far away look in her eyes and than her gaze came back on Twil. She was imagining how freeing it must be to do what ever you pleased.
"I live with my caretaker and my older brother. I enjoy helping but I do wish that I didn't have so many responsibilities," stating with a bit of an envious tone.
"You must have so much fun going wherever you want. Do you get to see all kinds of cool things," She said, her ears perking forward in anticipation.

Twil shrugged a bit. "One can see all sorts if remarkable things everyday if only the look." he said letting himself wax philosophical.
"Responsibility is good though. One's ability to cope with it and be trusted is always a good thing. It can be discouraging living alone, I have little motivation to do some things I should." he said somewhat wistfully.

Nebula looked back up at the stars "True there are wonderful things everywhere."
Nebula looks curiously at Twil, "You live alone? I have never lived alone, never really even thought of it."

"I used to live with others, but I found it too crowded for my tastes, so I moved out, but to each his own." he said with a nod. "Some can't stand to be alone, while others revel in it." he smiled and flicked the end of his tail.
"So besides gazing at the glory of the night sky, what else brings a lovely vixen like you out?" he purred.

"To get away from my mundane life at home. I like to dream and it's easier to do that out here," she said with a soft purr back.
She adjusted herself and moved a little closer to the blue male. Her tail touched his ever so slightly.
"Where were you headed?" she said coyly.

Twil chuckled and upped the anty and flicked his tail openly across the vixen's. "Oh, just out and about enjoying the night." he said. "I find that not have a specific destination means that I'll always end up in the right place at the right time." he smirked back at her.

Nebula Smiled. "So did you end up in the right place at the right time?" She asked.
After asking the question she flicked her tail nervously against his. She wondered if she was being too bold.
