Whatever you call them, Aeons, GFs or Eidolons (Or anything else!). Which are your favourites and least favourites? And which game are they from? Please give reasons, don't just reply with a one word/sentence answer like Shiva, or I hate Quezacoatl. Explain why you like/dislike them.
My favourites are Anima (from FFX) because she is incredibly powerful, but you can see the torment and suffering she has gone through in her pre-Aeon life. I also love Eden (FFVIII) because if you've got Eden, it's sort of like a reward for beating Ultima Weapon.
My least favourites are Eden and I know I just said it's one of my favourites, but I hate it because it takes 20 minutes to summon. The other one I hate is Cerberus (FFVIII), because if I want Double and Triple cast on me I'll use magic, the guardian of the underworld should do more.

Bahamut from any Final Fantasy.. particularly FF8 though. That summon was too awesome for words. Just the way it would show the moon and clouds before he broke through. FF13's was okay, but he reminded me too much of Optimus Prime. (Autobots, rollout!)
LOL, yes, Eden did take like, 10 years to summon. I think I gave myself carpal tunnel trying to boost that thing. XD
Least favorite.. Hmm.. never really cared for Yojimbo. It looked pretty cool when you summoned him, but I hated having to pay him to fight for you. It's like, "I freakin' beat your butt just to have to pay you??!". No thanks! >w>

Konekochama Bahamut from any Final Fantasy.. particularly FF8 though. That summon was too awesome for words. Just the way it would show the moon and clouds before he broke through. No thanks! >w> i agree with you when it comes to Bahamut, lol i love in FF13 when u use Bahamuts gestalt, then you press the Y(or Triangle for PS3) and it makes this small as ball, then makes a massive explosion. i also liked KotR from FF7, it was massive pwnage my least favourite would have to be maybe Typhoon from FF7, i didn't really use it much, too crappy if you asked me

My favorite would have to be Shiva. FF8 for her entrance, FF10 for her looks. Diamond Dust is also an awesome name for a summon attack. For FF10, I liked how she snaps her finger to finish off her targets. It's just nice to look at.
As for the least, I don't really like those summons with too long a scene to finish their move. They are awesome the first few times you use it, yes. But it's a little "meh" when you're grinding. (and I grind a lot) Hehe.

I don't overuse them, but if I need a bit of quick assistance they're always handy. On a side note, do the Totema from FFTA count as summons? I know I made the topic, but I don't know if they are summons as such.

I don't think the Totema count because you had Summoners with their own summon spirits.
My favorite was Phoenix from FFTA because it was a ranged effect that was useful to heal KOed allies and doubled to kill zombies and vamps.
My least favorite was Yojimbo. Not only do you have to pay him to attack, you also DON'T know how much you have to pay to get him to use a specific move!

My favs are shiva, ifrit, bahamut, cuzz they r classics :3nods
i love cerbueres how ever u spell it b/c its an easy way for double and triple u dont waste ur magic 3nodding
i didnt like catuar and tonyberry they were really weak sometimes 3nodding
and odin in FFVIII b/c he popped up out of nowhere and wanted to battle and he killed it DX

XD Haha yeah you could Boost to 250, fail it, start over, then get to 250 again, then fail and start over again, get back to 250 for a third time and still have time to get up out of your chair and have a quick stretch!

Carbuncle is my favorite and least favorite.
It's my favorite because it's so dang cute!
It's not because it's so dang useless!
Lol
But really, I like Leviathan, because I always like the water creatures. I was highly disappointed that there wasn't a water aeon in FFX since that whole game's theme seemed to be water.
Doomtrain was invaluable in FFVIII as well. I spammed that thing so much lol... it was fantastic. Meltdown ftw

I had a soft spot for Valefore. Then she went berserk what with yu yevon in her system and all... but I will always love Atmos because it blew everything up! I also found it kinda cute.

The Magus Sisters rocked!! They could take almost anything in their way!
I hate Yojimbo though. You could give him your entire wallet and he could still send his pathetic dog to deal just a few thousands. He sucked! stare
