Paramecia Devil Fruit {Physical Abilities}



Paramecia literally translated as Superhuman System is a type of Devil Fruit. These fruits give the users a "super-human" power which can affect their body, manipulate the environment or produce some kind of substances. In general, Paramecia Devil Fruits are fruits that give their users powers other than transforming into elements like Logias, or transforming into animals like Zoans. Though they don't include powers that allow elemental or animal transformations, some of them however are capable of other forms of transformations.

Strengths
The Paramecia fruits grant users an ability that can be classified only as 'Superhuman'. The Paramecia fruits also contain the greatest variation of powers evident so far in the One Piece story. These can be exploited and manipulated in a variety of ways, though the extent of useful attacks or strategies can depend greatly on the user themselves. Some people may encounter inspiration for a new attack after using a particular set of attacks for years, while others will never learn how to completely harness their skills.

- Many variations on Devil Fruit Types leading to unexpected attacks and abilities used by the person

Weaknesses
The Paramecia type is the only group containing powers or special traits that may be considered 'useless' to the user, granting little or no real advantage whatsoever. Paramecia types are also considered the easiest to battle, since they can be predictable and often display their full abilities within a very short period of time (as noted by Enel). The power of a paramecia type devil fruit varies however.

Although other Devil Fruit types may also lead to the user being considered a "freak", none are more noted for this than the Paramecia group. This is due to some of the abilities granted by Paramecia fruits being considered far too strange or frightening for normal people to accept

Float-Float Fruit
Float, Light, Muily Form

Background:
The Fuwa Fuwa no Mi is a Paramecia Devil Fruit eaten by Shiki. It allows him to levitate things such as battleships and himself.

The abilities of this Devil Fruit allows Shiki to control nearby objects, including ones as large as battleships. The skill to fly gives him a great advantage in combat, because it enables him to avoid many different types of attacks with relative ease, while he can attack from a distance with his swords or with his own powers.

He can use his Devil Fruit power in a variety of forms, like dropping huge objects onto his enemies or raising and crushing the land on which they are standing. In addition, he has also used his power to manipulate and remodel the surrounding environment, such as fashioning stone, debris and snow into roaring lions which charge onto the enemy. Shiki can even make water float to drown enemies in it.

* Shishi Odoshi (獅子威し, Menacing Lion?): Uses powers to break open the ground and fashion the debris into the shape of lion heads with which then attacks the enemy with.

Quake-Quake Fruit
Earthquakes, Earth, Destruction

Background:
The Gura Gura no Mi is a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that turns the user into an "Quake Man", allowing them to create shock waves (or "quakes"). It was eaten by Edward Newgate, and later stolen through unknown means by Marshall D. Teach following the death of the former.

Whitebeard has so far demonstrated three separate, distinct skills with his Devil Fruit and a fourth one that requires the usage of his bisento. He was also able to form a barrier of sorts, the vibrations of which protected him from being frozen by Aokiji, as vibrations are hard to freeze.

Unlike most characters in One Piece, Whitebeard has not named any of the attacks he has used, a distinction he shares with the Shichibukai Juracule Mihawk.

* The first skill is a punch that literally cracks the air itself and sends devastating shock waves through the air in the direction it is facing. These shock waves are able to pass through and damage almost any substance, literally tearing it apart. If the shock waves are directed into the ground, the result is a devastating earthquake capable of generating huge tsunamis. Because of its enormous offensive power and quick speed, this attack makes for a very good defense, able to destroy or disrupt any attack before it hits you.

Background:
The Choki Choki no Mi is a Paramecia type Devil Fruit that allows the user to transform parts of their body into scissors and cut solid objects as if they were paper. It was eaten by Inazuma

The fruit's bestowed powers, as used by Inazuma, have been used for a variety of reasons. He can use his powers to cut huge slabs of stone as if they were paper; the slabs can then be manipulated as though it were as light and flexible as paper. He can also use his powers to pick locks, as well as function as handy melee weapons. Inazuma seems to be quite skilled at using his ability, as his scissors are sharp enough to cut through stone, and yet delicate enough to hold his wine glass in one pair of scissors, similar to the principle of Zoro's Shishi Sonson (which states that it is the same blade that can cut a piece of paper clean in half can also be used to pass through it without cutting it).

Background:
The Horu Horu no Mi is a Paramecia type Devil Fruit that grants the user the ability to create and control special hormones that can affect anyone they strike by however the user desires.

The fruit's bestowed powers, as used by Iva, have been used for a variety of reasons. Typically, whenever he uses his power, he mainly changes the "gender", allowing him to either inject female hormones into a man to turn him into a woman or vice versa.

The fruit's powers are the source of Ivankov's "miraculous" powers, which, aside from gender changing, allow other miracles such as extreme healing, using them to allow for a body to adjust from a fatal-condition to having a chance of survival. However, while he can make the adjustment within the body to heal from these conditions, the miracle is also dependent on the person hit by the altering hormones, whereas only those with a strong enough will can survive and use their survival instincts via the hormones to their advantage. Depending on what the conditions the patient is in, as well as the hormones used, the receiver may suffer a shortening of lifespan in exchange for a "cure".

Background:
The Doku Doku no Mi is a Paramecia type Devil Fruit that grants the user the ability to produce and control different types of poison, as well as grant immunity to them. It was eaten by Magellan, the Warden of the World Government prison Impel Down. This ability is not to be confused with a Logia-class power, as the user cannot transform into poison.

The pun is that dokudoku, written as どくどく, is an onomatopoeia meaning 'in a steady stream', referring to the way that Magellan must constantly supply poison to some of his techniques in order to use them properly, first seen with his Hydra technique.

The fruit's bestowed powers, as demonstrated by Magellan, have been used for a variety of ways. With the fruit's powers, Magellan is able to enjoy a poisoned meal without the risk of dying. Instead, the poison adds flavor to the food for him. The only problem with this, however, is that while the poisoned food won't kill him, it gives him a severe case of diarrhea. His level of diarrhea may be related to the amount of poison he consumes.

When putting up with Hannyabal's antics, or any complaints from others, Magellan often uses the simplest form of offense the Devil Fruit provides, his own breath made poisonous. With this, he simply breathes mild poison gas on his subordinates to put them back in to place.

When serious, Magellan can use the fruit's powers to attack by producing and manipulating poison from his body. With this, he can promptly exercise his position provided duties on prisoners as their executioner. Magellan can simply poison someone by breathing or using a complex move.

In battle, Magellan can coat himself in liquid poison to serve as armor, preventing any opponent of easily landing any direct physical attack without getting poisoned in the process. Despite being coated, Magellan has enough control over his powers to enable him to delicately handle small objects while in this state, as seen when he held a small Den Den Mushi close to his face with his armor active.

Aside from lethal poison, Magellan can produce different types of poison that affects the opponents' sensory. He can also transfer his poison through his false horn boxing gloves, which can pierce or slash his targets, and at the same time dissolve them.

* Hydra (毒竜 [ヒドラ], Doku Ryū [Hidora], literally translated as Poison Dragon): After producing vast amounts of liquid poison from your body, is able manipulate it in the form of a three-headed dragon. It seems that it can even separate itself from yourself to pursue escaping foes. With this creature, you are able to engulf any opponent in deadly poison. The level of toxicity is so overwhelming that it actually causes the unfortunate victim to dissolve. The poison acts on the nervous system, paralyzing the victim and making them suffer excruciating pain until they die.

* Chloro Ball (毒ガス弾 [クロロ･ボール], Doku Gasu Dan [Kuroro Bōru], literally translated as Poison Gas Bullet): After chewing and blowing up some of your poison like bubble gum, spits the bubble at high speed towards an enemy. Upon impact, the bubble explodes and releases a cloud of poison gas. The gas acts like tear gas and causes severe sneezing, and immobilizes the enemy and anyone else near the vicinity.

* Doku Fugu (毒フグ, literally translated as Poison Pufferfish): Taking a deep breath, inflates your body slightly in order to withstand a physical blow. This is apparently strong enough to withstand against a Gear Second attack. While in this stance, can blow poisonous liquid bubbles with similar properties to the Hydra.

* Doku Gumo (毒雲, literally translated as Poison Cloud): Breathing out large amounts of his poisonous breathe, creates a fog-like cover in an area. This poisonous fog not only blurs the sight of any opponent caught within in, but also slowly weakens them as well, by gradually robbing away their strength, eyesight, and hearing.

* Venom Demon: Jigoku no Shinpan (毒の巨兵 [ベノム･デーモン] 地獄の審判, Doku no Kyohei [Benomu Dēmon]: Jigoku no Shinpan, literally translated as Giant Soldier of Poison: Hell's Judgment): The ultimate attack. Produces an enormous amount of liquid poison, that you call Kinjite (禁じ手, literally translated as Forbidden Hand), and, from it, forms into a massive devil-like entity that mimics your every movement, with its head and hands resemble those of yourself. The color of this poison liquid seems to be much darker than that of the Hydra, and releases a noxious smoke to go along with it. The poison made from Hell's Judgment is so toxic that it affects even non-organic objects, with the poison spreading like a disease over everything that makes contact with it, even if not directly, and seems to kill the afflicted victims right away once the infection spreads all the way throughout the body (which seems to be at a very rapid rate).

Background:
The Mero Mero no Mi is a Paramecia type Devil Fruit that allows a range of attacks that uses emotions of lust or perversion to transform them into stone.

Hancock uses this Devil Fruit power to petrify her victims. However, the contradictory story that her fellow Kuja are given is that she and her sisters killed a Gorgon and were "cursed". The Gorgon gave each sister a set of eyes on their backs. Whenever anyone sees the back of her and her sisters, they turn to stone. This story is actually a lie, concocted to hide her shameful past as a slave at the hands of the Tenryūbito. Hancock's Devil Fruit was originally fed to her for entertainment purposes only.

Hancock uses her ability, within a conjunction of any feelings held about her, by whomever she wishes to attack. As long as her opponent is not distracted by any other emotions or feelings (such as fear or pain), she can cause anyone of either gender to fall for her, upon which she can activate the full extent of her abilities. This fruit's power is extremely effective, especially given the fact that Hancock is virtually unmatched in beauty, which makes just about everyone easily attracted to her.

Even without the use of any kind of special technique, Hancock can use her great physical prowess to attack in hand-to-hand combat; however, her Devil Fruit gives her the ability to turn anything she strikes to stone, this power also does not need the victim to lust after her. This allows her to take down opponents that possess little to no thought (like the Pacifista).

Hypno Girl: This user relies on surprise attacks by people who show the slightest bit of love for the user are then turned to stone.

* Mero Mero Mellow (メロメロ甘風 [メロウ], literally Falling-Down Drunk Sweet Wind [Merō]): Forms a heart shape with your hands and launch a beam of the shape. Anyone with "dirty thoughts" (lust) hit by this beam will be turned into a stone statue. The beam's effect can be blocked if the target focuses doesn't have any lust for Hancock, either by focusing on other emotions or simply being ignorant.

* Pistol Kiss (銃 (ピストル) キス, Pisutoru Kisu, literally Gun Kiss): Able to use a projectile-like move by blowing a kiss, creating a heart-shaped bullet to fire at your victim by aiming it with your index finger, which is powerful enough to hurt even Luffy, who has shown to be immune to bullets.

* Slave Arrow (虜の矢 (スレイブアロー), Sureibu Arō, literally Arrows of Imprisonment): Breathes in deeply and kisses out a heart; similar to Pistol Kiss, but much-bigger. Then pulls the heart back with a hand and, with a pop like that of a bubble, hundreds of arrows, tipped and fletched with a stylized heart design, shoot out and barrage opponent(s) before petrifying them; the sheer number of arrows makes this move particularly difficult to evade. This technique not only petrifies anyone and anything that it hits, but somehow manages to freeze them in place, regardless of whether or not they were in motion or not (even if they were falling down when they were hit), to the extent that even stopped cannonballs in their tracks.

Paw-Paw Fruit

Background:
The Nikyu Nikyu no Mi is a Paramecia type Devil Fruit that bestows its user the ability to push anything they touch, and is physically represented as paw pads on the user's palm that seem to be permanently engraved into the user, as Kuma is always seen wearing gloves when his powers are not in use. It was eaten by the Shichibukai Bartholomew Kuma

The fruit's bestowed powers, as used by Kuma, have been used for a variety of uses. The majority of them are attacks that when executed, leave a paw-pad imprint resembling the pads on his palms.

Objects repelled by Kuma using the Devil Fruit's powers travel at incredible speeds. People repelled by Kuma are sent flying through the air for 3 days and 3 nights inside a paw shaped bubble that protects them from any and all obstacles in their path until they arrive at a location designated by Kuma. Upon their arrival, the bubble will vanish and the victim will land in the middle of a large paw print, completely unharmed.

Kuma is also able to use his powers to push out the pain and fatigue from the body of another person. These sensations are then manifested into a red bubble resembling a paw. With this technique, the pain the original person suffered can be transferred to another through direct physical contact with the bubble. This transfer leaves the recipient in agonizing pain, and the benefactor feeling healthy and energized though their wounds are not healed.

Bare Squeeze: the user is a defensive person using long range attacks to harm opponents, and when done and not wanting to kill there victim send them away to were ever they wish.

* Pad Hō (圧力砲 (パッドほう), Paddo Hō, literally translated as Pressure Cannon): repels the air around you, sending a devastating shockwave toward his opponent. The shockwave can travel directly through the body of the victim and continue into the distance, leaving paw imprints in its wake. Anyone and anything that is in the path of the blast receives damage.

* Tsuppari Pad Hō つっぱり圧力砲 (つっぱりパッドほう), Tsuppari Paddo Hō, literally translated as Slapping Thrust Pressure Cannon): First plants both feet firmly on the ground by means of a sumo-style foot stomp. Then, throwing palms forward multiple times,can fire a large number of "pressure shots" at an enemy. The way you pushes his palms forward and the stance you takes while performing this technique resemble those used commonly in sumo wrestling.

* Ursus Shock (熊の衝撃 (ウルスス･ショック), Urususu Shokku, literally translated as Impact of the Bear): Gathers air with palms and compresses it into a bubble which resembles a paw-print. Once the bubble is small enough to fit within your hands, releases the compressed air and sends it toward your opponent. The air quickly decompresses, causing a massive explosion.

Background:
The Horo Horo no Mi is a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that allows the user to produce ghosts. "Horo" means "Hollow", referring to the user's ghost-like powers.

The fruit's bestowed powers, as used by Perona, have been used for both combat and information gathering situations. She has used her Negative Ghosts to weaken enemies so that her allies, like Absalom's Zombie Soldiers, can have an upper advantage. She has also used her ghosts in an elaborate information gathering and surveilence system, called "Ghost Network", in order to monitor things around and on Thriller Bark.

Perona is also able to use her Devil Fruit powers to create other kinds of ghosts. One ghost she can create looks perfectly like her in every detail. This ghost is able to float in midair, go through solid objects, and change shape. This ghost is actually an astral projection of her consciousness and thus allows her to attack opponents without them attacking her directly. Perona is also able to create explosive ghosts of varying sizes which she can use against her opponents.

Background:
The Kage Kage no Mi is a Paramecia type Devil Fruit that gives the user the ability to manifest and control shadows as a tangible physical form.

The fruit's bestowed powers, as used by Moria, have been used mostly to create a large number of zombies in Thriller Bark. With it, he has been able to steal various shadows from various people who unfortunately stumble across his island. With the help of Hogback's surgical ability to create all sorts of creatures, and a large freezer filled with tons of corpses, Moria has been able to create a large army of the dead.

Moria is also able to use the powers in battle in a manner suiting his personal motto. Moria is able to manifest his shadow into a dark semi-liquid like silhouette figure resembling himself. This being is capable of being impervious against conventional attacks. This being is also capable of splitting itself into smaller bat-like shapes. Overall, Moria mostly uses his shadow to both attack enemies and protect himself without personally doing anything.

Moria can also use the fruit's powers to switch with his own shadow. This can come in useful, either to travel long distances or to escape from enemy attacks. Since his zombie minions don't inherit Devil Fruit abilities from the shadows animating them, Moria can also aid his zombie minions in the execution of some of their techniques by implanting his shadow into theirs.

The most devastating thing Moria can do with the fruit's powers is empower himself with the shadows he uses to animate his zombie minions.

Because of that, the shadow and the body are always the same shape. By changing the shape of the body's shadow with this power, the body is forced to match the shape of the shadow. Background:
The Yomi Yomi no Mi is a Paramecia type Devil Fruit which allows the user to come back to life after being killed. Initially, this Devil Fruit has no effect except for the usual side-effects such as not being able to swim. When the user dies, however, it brings them back to life once. Upon death the spirit is halted from traveling to the realms of the dead and is instead allowed to locate its body and be revived. However, this does not prevent the users body from decaying, hence Brook's skeleton appearance.

While the fruit's only major fruit's bestowed power is only usable after death, it's secondary powers however are rather useful in keeping Brook basically "alive". Through the fruit's powers, Brook is able to function without the presence of necessary and vital body parts that have been decomposed long ago. He is able to move and stand up without the presence of tissue and muscles to support him, as well as being capable of getting tired or worn down despite not having any of those factors to begin with. He is able to interact with the environment around him without the presence of eye balls or any other sensory organ to aid him. He, in particular, retains his ability of speech despite his vocal chords and even his windpipe have long since rotted away. He is able to taste and digest food like any other normal living thing to sustain himself. Drinking milk in particular heals him as the calcium intake repairs any of Brook's bones that may have broken in battle. Depending on the situation, Brook is also able to produce organic matter such as poop, tears, and even blood from his nose despite not having any organs nor bodily liquids to produce such matter.

Due the fruit's powers holding up and moving his light skeletal frame, Brook is given an extremely light body. Brook is able to perform some things due to this advantage such as jumping up very high and running on water. These allow him to travel great distances and aid him in battle. However while his light body lets him be lighter than an average person, Brook isn't immune from sinking. Brook will still sink like any other Devil Fruit user when placed in water. In fact, while Brook can run on water, he cannot stay above too long. He can maintain this amazing feat for the first few moments upon touching the water but eventually he would sink down below like any normal pile of bones if he stays too long running on water due to exhaustion.

Being a skeleton animated by the fruit's powers also allows Brook to do things that most other people can't do due to their need of tangible living tissue. Not only is he able to use his light weight to execute fast attacks, but his lack of flesh also allows him to execute attacks that would otherwise be harmful, such as shocking himself with electricity and becoming a electrically charged projectile. Due to the lack of organs, Brook is also able withstand some deadly attacks to a certain degree. He is for instance, able to withstand his skull being shattered to a certain degree and also able to withstand having several of his ribs broken. Also due to the Devil Fruit powers also allowing it, Brook also has the ability to store objects in his skull by opening it along its crack. While Brook is able to do these many things because of his Devil Fruit supported form, he however can still feel pain, as well as fatigue. Based on his own statements and comments from others, despite any muscles it appears he is able to grow stronger through training. Though Brook is able to repair broken bones it seems all growth functions have stopped. For this reason Brook puts alot of effort into protecting his afro, since he would be unable to grow it again if it was cut.

The Awa Awa no Mi is a Paramecia type Devil Fruit that allows the user to emit and control soap and bubbles that can not only clean off dirt but can also "clean off" power. It was given by Spandam to Kalifa who ate it. This ability is not to be confused with a Logia power, as the user cannot turn themselves into soap and bubbles.

The fruit's bestowed powers, as used by Kalifa, have been used mostly to aid her in combat. She mostly uses the fruit's powers to give her an edge in battle. While she is a capable assassin by herself, by using the fruit's powers, she can weaken opponents that would otherwise be too physically powerful for her to handle. Aside from this, Kalifa has also used the fruit's power over soap particles to shield herself from being electrocuted.

He has also shown to spin himself around, creating a small but powerful tornado, similar to Roronoa Zoro's Tatsumaki. The named techniques are as follows
