A mare the color of mulberries moved across the floor of the valley, hooves the color of the sky softly thundering over the rolling ground. She slowed her canter into a high-stepping trot, white socks flashing against the emerald of the grass. With no one to accompany her, she'd taken to wandering while the sun was barely waking and continued even though it shone boldly overhead. A lovely day had woken around her, the mist of the forest slowly giving way before the warmth of the sun. Golden light once filtered through thick treetops... Now it painted her unreservedly, gleaming on black and white markings and a mane of dark silk. The Granddaughter of the Phantom sighed to herself, deciding that lifting her voice in song would help to pass the time as she pranced along. After all, it did not seem there was anyone about to overhear her.. And though she was much like the others in her family, the one thing she wasn't confidant about was singing in front of anyone. Still, while wandering, one need not worry. "What to sing then?" She mused to herself, before smiling with a gay flick of her tail. A perfect little poem, not hard at all to sing. And titled Song of Wandering Aengus, fitting enough. "I went out to the hazel wood, Because a fire was in my head, And cut and peeled a hazel wand, And hooked a berry to a thread; And when white moths were on the wing, And moth-like stars were flickering out, I dropped the berry in a stream, And caught a little silver trout."

Kuro-Yume hearing a beautiful voice of a Mare. Kai his humming Bird buddy heard it as well as he is on the back of the Black Stallion with green markings and purple on the ends of his wings, mane, and tail. His hooves even blacker and darker then night itself as his yellow eyes scan the area. It was dawn and the mist was just lifting. So it was still a bit hard to see everything in the surroundings about him. The wind blows as his mane and tail flow back into it while he stretches out his wings fully still listening to the voice. His mate was else where and he is off on his own trying to find new friends as well as traveling and exploring to see what else was out there. But this voice was like nothing he has ever heard it was angelic and enchanting. It was calling to him. He walks softly making little to no noise as he follows the sound. He then stops in his tracks seeing the Mare with the voice of a heavenly goddess. He smiles. "Kai do you see what I see. Maybe a new friend." He whispered to the humming bird on his back.

Masque laughed to herself, arching her neck and prancing sideways. The wind caught her long mane and tail, spinning the dark mulberry-and-black strands around her. White-socked feet and sky colored hooves flashed against the grass, and she continued the dancing strides for another few moments before spouting the second verse. "When I had laid it on the floor, I went to blow the fire a-flame, But something rustled on the floor, And someone called me by my name, It had become a glimmering girl, With apple blossom in her hair, Who called me by my name and ran, And faded through the brightening air." Spinning in a playful pirouette, staring at the dark stallion who lingered just beyond where she danced and sang. Her ears flattened for a moment, fear swelling in her chest, though it calmed nearly as quickly. He wasn't a Kalona or a Skinwalker, and she even saw wings like her own sire had. Not a hunter then, maybe a wanderer like her? Shifting on her hooves, she fought the urge to blush at being caught mid-song and dance by a stranger. "Oh, hello..."

Kuro-Yume sees her stop and flattened her ears but calmed down. The Humming Bird Kai on his back flies up and then around Kuro-Yume. He then moves his left front hoof and leg out and to the ground before him. Then picks up his right leg holding it close to his chest as he bows to her. His wings spread out fully and eyes closed as he is honoring her in a way. He then folds his wings in and stands fully up and straight like any proud Stallion would. "Hello" His voice charming and one of a young stallion. He is just learning the ropes still and hasn't been an adult for long. Maybe a month or two. But that is it. So he can't call himself full grown or adult even to tell another Soquili off. So he doesn't. But he does flirt with the mares around him. It is his way of filling comfy about them. He prances up to her and then moves around her. "You have a beautiful voice one that sounds like it was sent from the heavens. So why did you stop? Was it me that stopped you? If so I am sorry." He then comes to a stop. Kai flies next to Kuro until landing on his back.

The soft reply made her relax slightly, soothed by the seemingly calm stallion. Was he perhaps a little shy, like she was? The idea made her feel a little easier about the encounter, warming her up enough to offer a smile. The presence of the hummingbird caught her attention, and she tilted her head to watch the fluttering bird before laughing when he landed on the stallion's back. "Oh.. And hello to your friend as well." She added quickly, not wanting to be rude to the bird. The compliment made her duck her head, hiding in her mane for a moment. "Oh, thank you very much.. It is a gift from my father, he gave my sister her's as well. We dearly love music." She shifted slightly on her hooves. "Not you, personally. I just... I don't usually sing where people can hear, that's all."

"Music is a wonderful thing. You are gifted. I could never do that. I think my voice would make birds drop from the sky." he jokes a bit as Kai flies up into the sky and then acts like he is falling to the ground. But before he would hit the ground he flies back up and then lands on a rock near by. Kuro looks at Kai "Oh ha ha that wasn't all that cute you know Kai."

Masque smiled at him, flicking an ear and ducking her hair as she laughed behind the veil of her mane. "That I very much agree, it is the lifeblood of our family, in a way. We dearly love music, and to sing... And some of us to dance." She sighed. "My father and sister, at least, are gifted in aerial ballet. But lacking wings, I cannot hope to mirror their skill." The masked mare eyed his wings, somewhat envious of the beautifully feathered things. "I'm sure you're a sight in the air, no?" She started at the sight of the bird, and laughed when he pantomimed falling before saving himself. "Your friend is quite charming."

{{OOC ~ To lazy to color fye the post}} Kai flies around the mare and then lands on her back bowing to her once he has landed. Kuro-Yume laughs a bit. "Kai is that. He is fun to have around." He thinks about it. "Well I don't fly all that much really. I am not sure why. I think it is because I like to run and play on the ground. It is always more fun to me then to be in the air." He points out while thinking about what he and his family might be good at. "Hmm Not sure what my family is into but I like to run about and chase after things I know I can't catch hoping that one day I will be fast enough to catch them."

Masque grinned, laughing in delight when the hummingbird circled her and alighted for the moment, returning his bow. "Hello Kai, it's lovely to meet you." She tilted her head, considering the stallion's words, and nodded slightly. "Well, I'm one for playing on the ground, but I'm sure you guessed that." She sighed softly. "My elder sister and father are both winged, and my younger sister and I are not... " She blinked in surprise at his reply, smiling. "I think that's rather lovely, to have the ambition of improving yourself until you catch what has always been a little faster than you. I wish you the best of luck with it, if you accept such things from a near-stranger."
