It's just like any other tree, except it is much larger than normal, and the branches seem to have entangled themselves so that it makes a strange gigantic nest. Saraku found it while walking through the forest and loved it, so she just decided to make it her resting place. Usually flocks of Ravens would come and sit on the branches. .There are branches sticking out of the trunk helping those who can't climb, climb up. Its leaves cover up the sun during the summer making it cool and then loosing all its leaves in the winter in able for the sun to shine through.

Saraku walked through the forest. She glanced at each tree trying to find her special one. She searched until she found it. She smiled, climbing the many limbs that came out of the trunk.

She was running from the hunters. She noticed a big tree that seemed to have a big nest in it. Ravens were all over the branches and girl was in it. She quickly climbed up. "Hide in the branches, NOW!" Before the girl could reply, Ash shoved her into hiding. They ran by, not knowing their prey was above them.

Sakuya hummed softly, not really bothering with her own clothes. For a moment, she was free from the darkness that hunted her. She knew that some Hunters had run through here. She was expecting them to come back soon. As she saw a large tree in the distance, the Hunters returned. She smiled slightly, confusing them. One came up. "Miss, we are looking for a strange girl that ran through here. Have you seen her?" Sakuya chuckled softly. "No but I did here some noise going that way." Sakuya pointed away from the large tree. It would seem a shame for the Hunters to go near it. They thanked her and took off. Sakuya moved toward the tree and settled herself at it's base. She began to hum softly. The song was called "Jesus Take the Wheel" by Carrie Underwood. Her eyes closed and she leaned back. Life was good.

(very good song!)
Ash jumped out of the tree. "Thanks." Her voice was cold and held a strong hint of suspesion. She sat next to the girl. "Why?" She wasn't much of a talker.

Sakuya blinked and started as a girl jumped down beside her. "You're welcome." She studied her breifly but couldnt really see since the sun was in her eyes. She stood slowly. "I didn't know you were here. Were those men looking for you?"

"Yeah." The girl was still watching her, so she thought she'd best give an explanation. "I'm a halfling." Good enough.

Sakuya nodded. "I wasn't sure what you were. It is nice to meet you. I'm human but....not quite." Sakuya wasn't quite sure how to explain what she was. She shrugged momentarily. "I guess I'm human." She looked back up at the girl. "I'm Sakuya."

*sigh* "Ash." She stared at the ravens. She held out her hand and the biggest one flew to it. It made it's way to her shoulder and sat there.

Sakuya smiled slightly. "They trust you. The Ravens. It's been a long time since I've seen any of the animals in the forest trust anyone."

Ash glanced at Sakuya. *sigh* "It's a long story...but...I was raised by animals." She waited for the girl to freak out and run for the hunters.

Sakuya blinked and then a small smile appeared. "I see." She raised her hand and a few of the Ravens flew down and surrounded her. Each of them vied for her attention. "The animals indeed know on how much they can trust a person or not. It's the same way with nature. The animals just know things."

Ash nodded and stared up at the sky. "They're wiser and kinder than humans and demons."

Sakuya nodded and closed her eyes. It had been so long since she had had peace of mind. She knew sooner or later, it would be broken and she would be back to the fearful, scared woman that she usually was.
