((Hey hey, Demy's in the hospital and wishing for some visitors. If you have any reason to know him, come visit? Demy tries to be friends with everybody, so it's possible to know him via a friend of a friend of a friend even if you've never run across him in an RP.))

Demy heaved a dramatic sigh for perhaps the hundredth time that morning. Possibly even thousandth, but who was keeping track? The night before his roommate had called in a favor with their schoolmate (and arcade rival!) Alex and sometime during the night he had ended up here at the hospital. Really, things were kind of hazy in his mind and the details were lost on him. All he knew was that he was sore, this place sucked, and he just wanted to go home.

Unfortunately they would not let him. Hospitals tended to be that way when young teens came in with busted up ribs, multiple smaller injuries, and even a burn or two. This had been rather hard to explain away. He was fairly certain he still hadn't managed to explain it away. Fortunately for him he could pull the cute and adorable kid gig pretty well and the nurses had taken a liking to him.

This still didn't help with his whole being bored thing.

"Ughhhh, I should have packed a game or some glowsticks or just SOMETHING."
He heaved yet another sigh and attempted to get comfortable in his bed. This was rather difficult. This bed was just weird, and it wasn't his usual bed and nothing around him really felt like home. Maybe he should hit up his contacts list and beg for some visitors...or gifts. Gifts would be nice too.

Then again that'd be selfish, and he had to frown at that thought. Damnit no, he wasn't going to give Z a real reason to call him that again, so he'd just....sit here. And heal. Yeeep. Just like Z had said...

....God he was bored.

She hated hospitals.

Hospitals meant sickness. Hospitals meant death. Hospitals meant getting nauseated from the smell of sanitizer that plagued the floors, walls and rooms throughout the building. But when Ursula had heard the news, she felt more than obligated to come visit. She'd been off running errands with her unofficial only-5-years-younger-than-her-stepson when she'd gotten the call and after a short pitstop, both of them found themselves in the parking lot of Destiny City Memorial.

"He would have visited you if he'd known about the coma, you know."

Khaldun said nothing. He'd refused to get out of the car and walk in with her, stating that he wasn't going to be seen checking in on "Zac's girlfriend". Despite her attempts at cajoling and bribing him to come with her, everything had failed.

So with only herself as company, heels clicked their way over the linoleum flooring as the small brown parcel shifted in her hand. It took only minutes to wheedle the room information out of the attending nurse at the front desk and soon she found herself at the entryway of Demetri Wright's hospital room.

Leaning against the frame, she gave the side of the doorway a gentle knock before stepping inside.

"Hey there, tough guy. Mind telling me how a cheerful kid like you ended up in a gloomy place like this?"

Truth be told, she wasn't one he'd ever expect to visit him here. Hell, he wouldn't have even hoped for it. Not to say he didn't appreciate her visiting, of course he did! Demetri Wright just never thought Ursula Killingworth would have the time or motivation to swing by a hospital and check on a boy like him.

By the huge grin spreading on his face, it was quite obvious he was thrilled to have her there.

"Ursula?! Hi!"
An arm flew into the air to wave, which tugged an IV pole forward a bit. The blonde winced at the movement.
"Er...you know. Got into a scuffle, didn't go so well on my end. The usual..."
Not that he could admit to being in a fight with a Senshi while he was under the care of the hospital staff, but he figured Ursula would probably come to that conclusion on her own.

"What are you up to today? You can't tell me swinging by the hospital is usual business for you...right?"
Man maybe it was, maybe part of being a leader was checking in on the underlings when they got hurt? But that meant Charonite would have to do it too...and the idea of the General King visiting him was more than a little unsettling. He really, really, really hoped that wasn't the case.

Occasionally it was good to have a rich, nosy grandmother. More often then not it was a royal pain-in-the-rear, but every now and then it had its uses. Abelia, matriarch of the Sullivan family, carefully distributed her fortune between her family, her own living expenses, and various charitable ventures. Shortly after enrolling Rose in Crystal Academy, Abelia realized there were numerous reasons to become a patron of some of the Desitiny City hospitals. Not only was she getting older, and thus closer to needing regular medical care, but there had also been a strange increase in the number of students ending up in the hospitals.

Rose meandered the halls of the hospital, ignoring the occasional frown shot her way by the nurses. The hospital’s money counters were grateful for her grandmother’s support and were content to turn a blind eye to Rose’s occasional visits, so long as she behaved herself. Today she was just making her rounds, peeking in on the patients that interested her, namely those around her age. Normally she brought a couple of books of stories or puzzles, and if she saw anyone that looked especially bored she’d give one to them, but her interactions usually weren’t any longer then that; she didn’t want to press her luck.

Hearing a familiar voice, Rose poked her head in one of the rooms. Upon seeing its occupant she did a double take before letting herself in.

“ You! What are you doing in here? Got carpal tunnel from your precious Guitar Hero?”

Finally noticing the other occupant of the room, she gripped her bag of goodies a little tighter before apologizing.

“ Er, sorry ‘bout barging in. I can bug him later if that’d be better.”

Rose wasn’t exactly sorry – it didn’t look like she was interrupting anything important – but she wanted to cover her a** just in case. Besides, she was curious now, and wanted to know how Demy had wound up in the hospital.

The insistent ringing of his cellphone woke him up. It was easy to hang up, but it wasn't easy to ignore it the second or third time. "Nrrgh... what? What?! Oh! Oh, yeah man, I'm totally awa- yeah? Yeah. I can do that, give me a second." It felt good to close the phone with a snap, if only to sit in the dark and stare out the tiny window. What just happened? How did this happen again? He shook his head and stood up, stumbling over to the light and getting dressed. There wasn't time to ask questions now -- it was better to get a move on.

Alexander ran his hand through his hair and sighed. He was still tired, still clueless as to what was going on, and to top it all off the hand sanitizer at the front desk of the hospital still wasn't enough to make his hands feel clean -- especially after risking life and limb earlier. Get me some clothes, man! he whined, This stuff is boring and itchy and just not awesome like meee!

He wondered how Z put up with Demy. Especially given how Demy's closet was... was... The boy stopped and took a deep breath. "Breathe, Alex, breathe," he whispered, "Just go in there, shove this at him, and pray that Z's not there. Okay? Sounds good, 'cause I don't need anymore blackmail..." Ugh. Getting into Demy's half of the room is what first got him into this mess. He really, really wanted to know what was going on, but knowing what he knew of Z... that wasn't likely to happen.

He stopped outside of Demy's room, checking and doublechecking the sign. This was seriously Demy's room? He could hear female voices, and in all honesty he did NOT picture Demy as being one of those types who could attract females. He doubted the boy had any heightened fashion sense that any sane girl would want to consult him with. No, he knew that wasn't the case: he had looked into the abyss of the closet, and he could swear that it looked right back at him.

The boy straightened up and entered the room, swinging Demy's backpack off of his shoulder as he walked. "Dem! I got your bag, and I swear it glittered on me. I better not find glitter weeks later, 'cause if I do, I swear I'll tell Z that you want him to organize your half of the room. And redecorrrrhrk. Hello Mrs. Killingworth, don't mind me, I was just fetching Demy some things he asked for since he can't exactly get them himself, and, er, hello to you too person whose name eludes me...?" He looked curiously at Rose before turning back to Demy, mindful to carefully place it next to the younger boy. It wouldn't do him any good to get bad marks with his school's secretary-slash-wife-of-THE-Killingworth.

Besides, her new name already sent a chill down his spine, and struck fear into his soul. Already he was glancing at the door, planning his escape.

Ooookay.... He had gone from bored in an empty room one moment to 'entertaining' a few guests the next! Not that he minded, no not at all! Guests were awesome, they took his mind off what a cruddy place he was in and made it feel at least a bit like home. After a moment of carefully eying the parcel Ursula had walked in with, Demy turned his gaze to the other female who had entered.

"Me? Pshhh, no! Me and Guitar Hero are like best buds man, the game wouldn't do -this- to me. But no really, you know how it goes. Pick a fight with the wrong people and well..."
Demy was not known to pick fights very often (or -at all-, to some people). This being the result of picking a fight seemed highly unlikely, but he wasn't about to give any other answer.
"And you? Decided to leave the air hockey table long enough to drop in on a fellow arcader or what? Hrmmmm?"
Rose dropping by here downright surprised him. Outside of the arcade he didn't have much contact with the girl. But hey, he wasn't complaining! Any visitor was a good visitor.

Speaking of, next in was Alex, and to his arrival Demy actually clapped.
"Alex my man, thanks dude! And heeey, consider the glitter a gift man, from one dude to another, kay?"
Demy didn't think his closet was all that bad. Really, what was wrong with a boy wearing every color of the rainbow (and then some) at the same time hrmmm? He rather liked his sense of fashion! And hey, chicks -totally- went shopping with him. Not...that they asked him for fashion advice often. It was more like Ursula tugging him along to hold bags.

He rather enjoyed being the bag boy.

The blonde put an arm around his rather interestingly decorated bag (glitter and charms galore, one might have mistaken it for a little girl's bag if they didn't know him better), and grinned happily at his three visitors.

"Would you have rather had Mister Killingworth show up for a vis-"

Her words were cut short as a young woman entered the room, obviously knowing Demetri as she began prattling on about heroic guitars or whatever it was that kids talked about these days.

Ursula shifted to the side, moving to sit on the window seat as the two teenagers began talking. Eyebrows rose as a second teenager bounced into the room - this one recognizable.

"Hello Alex," she greeted cordially in return, amused at his word fumbling, "That was very thoughtful of you - Demetri is a lucky boy, to have such caring friends."

Her own package shifted, moving to rest on the window seat alongside her. The newcomer looked nervous... well, then again, the flirting she'd recieve in the office had quickly turned into looks of awe, horror, and the occasional plea for helping them 'get in a good word with Killingworth' - nervous was not a new reaction.

Had it not been for her fellow guests, she'd have pressed further into finding out what exactly happened to Demy to land him in the hospital. Zac's phone call had been brief and brief never cut it for her. But, with others in the room, she turned the conversation in another direction.

"So, when will they let you escape, dear?"

“ Fight, eh? I can only imagine.” Actually, Rose couldn’t imagine, but the only reason she was satisfied with Demy’s explanation was because she didn’t know him very well, at least not outside the arcade. For all she knew he could secretly be an assassin or something.

… And at that thought Rose had to fight back her desire to snort. Glittery, flashy Demy, an assassin? It was the most absurd mental image she’d had in a long time.

“ Pft, you think I’d visit you instead of going to the arcade?” That sounded a bit cold, but Rose assumed that Demy would know she was joking. “ No, I was already here. I’m a volunteer of sorts.”

Rose waved her hand vaguely, as if that explained everything, before turning her attention to the other boy in the room. He looked faintly familiar, but she couldn’t place him.

“ I’m Rose.” Her lips thinned, annoyed at her inability to recognize the other boy. “ Alex, is it? I don’t suppose you hang around the arcade or animal shelter?”

Rose didn’t intend to ignore the other woman in the room, especially after barging in, but she wasn’t familiar with Mrs. Killingworth, at least not beyond a handful of rumors she’d heard. Until she could think of something semi-intelligent to say to her, she figured it best to say nothing at all.

"Well of -course- you'd visit me instead of going to the arcade, I am afterall the life of the arcade so without me there it's gotta be boring yeah? And Alex LOVES the arcade! He's my rival, buuuut I still kick his a** at Guitar Hero, huh Alex?"

He was trying to keep up with conversation. It was hard. Usually he had no problem switching from one subject to another and addressing anyone around him (or anything, if something shiny decided to show up too). But with the medication flowing through his system he was a bit odder than normal. Actually, it was starting to get really hard to focus and understand what was going on. Who ever thought the day would come that Demy would be unable to entertain just a few people at once?

So Alex and Rose addressed he focused what little of his full attention still remained on Ursula and her question. Afterall, this was Ursula, and even though he wasn't thinking very straight (some would argue he never really -did-...) some part of his mind kicked him in gear to let her know everything he did.
"Dunno yet...they've got me on this stupid diet because the doctor is stupid or something and says I have to eat stupid friggin liquids and I just wanna go home ya know? Not..that stupid homework is any better than this stupid hospital but at least it's home. Not....that Hillworth is..um..stupid..."
He didn't, afterall, want to indirectly refer to Mr or Mrs Killingworth with his stupid rant of stupid. That'd be bad.

"He just keeps prying. Seems they're a bit suspicious because of all the terrorist activity that goes on, ya know? But like..as if -I'm- caught up in some EPIC BATTLE with Sailor Lyrical of the Sparkley Spacedust or something. Funny thought though, huh?"
Hopefully Ursula would get something out of that. Sure it wasn't Lyra's -real- name nor power sphere but it...was remotely like it? And the others would write it off as a drugged up ramble.

Hopefully.

"Just a little fight, wish they'd just let me go home already..."

In response to Demy, Alexander wiped his hand on Demy's blanket to shed more glitter (those poor future patients. He hoped none were allergic to glitter.) from his palm, wondering when Demy's meal would be delivered and if he could swipe his juice from him. Probably not with Mrs. Killingworth and the other girl, Rose.

“Animal shelter? Ugh!” He gave a mock-shudder, shaking his head. “Animals and I just... don't get along. I think we may have seen each other at the arcade...? I'm ANR on most of the machines.” Or what he hoped to be most of the machines. He hadn't been there today day, so who's to say how many of his high scores were broken?!

That thought was shoved aside as Demy began talking, electing a sigh from Alex. “Eesh, what is it with you and getting into fights? You're not exactly wimpy enough -” like me - “or lanky enough” - like me - “or alone” - like me - “that often to be a good target, y'know? Since you have Z with you and all, usually.” He frowned, “Come to think of it, he was in the hospital not too long ago too, huh?”

Alexander ran a hand through his hair before curling it into a fist. “Damn! More and more of those terrorists seem to be appearing – I'm surprised the hospital hasn't become overcrowded yet. But... man! What the hell do they want?!”

He stopped, shaking his head and sighing. “I think I'll go take a walk. Providing you're not too hopped up on drugs, could you tell me where you ran into the sailor when I come back? Just curious,” he added quickly over his shoulder as he drifted towards the door, pausing in the middle of it to turn around. “By the way, it's good to see you doing well, Mrs K-Killingworth, and a pleasure to meet you, Rose. Good day to both of you.” With a quick wave, he turned and left, rubbing his mouth. Mrs. Killingworth. What an oddly difficult thing to say!

"I'm afraid I can't stick around much longer myself, dear."

Rising from her seat, Ursula stepped forward to reach out and pat the boy's shoulder. The hospital gown was a vast difference from his normal array of rainbows and... well, glow that the teenager typically wore. "Khaldun's out in the car waiting and I'm sure if I take any longer, he'll attempt to hotwire the car and drive off without me."

Her other hand extended out and handed him the small brown package. "Be good now. I expect to see more fight in you once you're back out on the streets. Until then, don't drive the nurses too crazy, alright?"

Another shoulder pat and she was off, passing by the young woman as she headed towards the door. Glancing back for a brief moment, she gave him a wave and headed out into the hall, moving in the opposite direction from where Alex had departed.

The package would later reveal itself to contain a small handheld Guitar Hero game. Glowsticks had been the preferred gift but in his current condition combined with the rumor spreading around the school of Demetri ingesting glowsticks like soda... well, some things were better left ungifted, it seemed.

“ ANR, eh? Yeah, that sounds familiar.” More then familiar – he held the top scores on multiple games – but that was beside the point. Feeling slightly awkward, she wasn’t in the mood for small pleasant chit-chat.

Rose was trying to think some way to leave with her dignity intact when Demy started talking about sparkles and other assorted nonsense. Sometimes Demy made no sense. Seriously. For the sake of her sanity, Rose wasn’t going to even attempt to figure out what he meant when he was talking to the orange-haired lady.

Taking her cue from the others’ departures, Rose offered Demy a parting eye roll and verbal jab. “ I think your medication is making you delusional. I better leave you to rest so you can get better.”

Figuring Demy wasn’t going to want a book of crossword puzzles or sudoku games, Rose gave a final wave and left. After all, as amusing as Demy was, there were still people to see and homework to do.

{{ Sorry for the hold up. ;.; }}
