Can it be a short one-shot? Also, does Legend of Zelda fit into the catagory? There is a manga for some of the games.

Here's my entry, it's a LoZ short written for my radio writing class.
The idea was to take words from a list we'd brainstormed earlier, and write something. mrgreen
The onset of adulthood was, unfortunately, very quick for Link. One second, he was but a child, holding a sword too big for his small frame. Then, seemingly seconds later, he is a man of seventeen. Triforce of Courage in hand, and ready to face the laborious ways of the hero.
Blue eyes focused, and casually swept the ruined city. Once full of people, the bustling city had been the center of Hyrule. Where there had been people, there was now only dust. It was a complex thing, this path of a hero. Never really knowing what you are there for, except to save your crumbling world, oftentimes, from its own people.
He brought the ocarina to his lips, and played a quick melody. The notes floated down deserted alleys, and across abandoned doorways. A simple tune for him, learned in childhood, but a sound of hope for all those still left in the ruins of Hyrule. Such a happy sound had not been heard these past seven years.
