Are you confident with your choice?
Before Peyton, Calintha, and Liliana were split up... Irre tucked a strand of lose hair behind a pointed ear, her chin resting on her other hand as she watched with malicious glee at the events occurring before her. She didn't know what to make of the humans when they had first arrived on the planet -- strange, dull-eared creatures that seemed enslaved to the tiny illuminated panels with its changing words and pictures. She had thought of them silly when she had attacked her first distracted jogger fiddling with his iPod. How could they have dominated a planet if they were so easy to deceive?
She had underestimated the power the flickering screens could hold. But she refused to believe she was a slave like the humans -- no, no. Look at her! She was standing up now, back turned to the monitor. Step, step vanish. Irre teleported herself to another room within her labyrinth, pulling out a deck of cards. "Now, who wants to play?" The cards were shuffled through, some plucked out for consideration then returned to the deck with the shake of her head. One of the cards caught her attention, bringing a grin to her lips as it was pulled out, the rest of the deck disappearing into the jacket-pocket of one of her sibling's borrowed clothes. "I'll show them!" She whispered, summoning her flute and playing a soft melody.
The flute was lowered when the song ended, disappearing in order for Irre to gently brush a fleck of dust off of her cardian "Yes... Yes, you shall do nicely!" She beamed at her monster before ruffling its hair. "Now, you want to play? Yes? Goo- ack! Not with m- achoo! Augh! Look! You wait here and just... I don't know, amuse yourself and play wi-wi-withchoo! With the next person that you see, okay? Aaagh! No! Down! DOWN!" Irre batted her caridan back and down before vanishing back into her monitor room, whereupon she had a good sneeze.
A Living Room?! - Peyton As you enter the room, you stop in the doorway and glance at the room you just emerged from. The bare floor and walls look nothing like the room you're about to walk into. For a moment, you can't help but to wonder if you just walked into someone's house! The floor is a light tan, accented by the cream-colored walls. There is an orange rug in the middle of the room, surrounded by two white couches with orange cushions. There's even a table with some magazines! And... is that a cabinet with some more or less fine china? It's had to see from here.
You walk further into the room, ignoring the click of the door behind you. It isn't surprising or new to you, but it is rather new to the occupant in the room. The large, cat-like and fuzzy creature looks up from where she was reclining on the sofa and stares at you with its large, cat-like eyes. "Nyaaan?"
Congratulations! Meet your first cardian, Nyan played by endejester. Nyan is unnaturally flexible and can create a cloud of hair that induces sneezing, coughing, and otherwise fuzzy cloud of doom cat hair. Also she can has sharp claws nao. Peyton, on the other hand, is protected against most sorts of falls and has a wooden baseball bat. There are no prompts. Irre is watching, and will be more than happy to step in and torment Peyton should the need arise. Peyton's lights are currently unknown.

...Wait, was the game over or something? Peyton paused in what had been a rather offensive position, bat poised to whack anything that came near her. She glanced around her immediate surroundings, confusion clear on her face as she then began to take cautious steps further into the room, looking for a sign as to whether this was...still the game, or whether she'd lost. But she still had her bat. Speaking of which, she glanced at it, frowning as she was unable to determine her current 'lives'. Damnnnn.
The door clicked behind her, and Peyton frowned, though that son faded from her face as she detected movement, head swinging to face the...
WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT!?
Eyes as wide as plates, mouth dropping open with a slight "Oh...", Peyton found herself facing a...well, she didn't even have a clue! It was like a monster, with some feline features, but definitely not a cat. Definitely. That click from before...the door was locked. She wanted to look around, check to see if there were any other exits, but the girl was frozen to the spot. Maybe...maybe if she didn't move, it wouldn't notice her.

"Ny-AAAAAnnnnnnn!!" the strange creature exclaimed with evident delight and uncoiled from the couch and bounded towards her. "NYAN!" It said and bumped its head against her like any normal cat might were it very friendly. It left enough fluff behind that it might have been thought to have been able to produce little kitten-monsters that way.

ooc|| I know I've been over 24 hours, so feel free to disqualify me~ Sorry, I was working all day yesterday and all day today and didn't really have time/muse D;
---
Ohcrap, it was coming towards her! Peyton made an odd squeaking sound, eyes clamping shut as she prepared herself for...well, death. Except it didn't come - time lapsed and she suddenly felt a pressure on her legs, eyes peeking open to see the creature...rubbing against her? Like a cat would?
It did look kinda like a cat. A humanoid cat thing. Trying to move gently, and not make any suddenly movements, she reached a hand down as if to pet it's head. "...Hello?"

"NYAAAAAAAAAAANnnnnn" It said again and butted its head into her gently offered hand before flicking out a little pink tongue to lick her palm. "Nyaaannn" it wove between her ankles like it had no actual bones to speak of, leaving more hair behind where it moved and rubbed.

Geez, that was an awful lot of hair. It was a good thing she wasn't allergic to cats. Although, her nose was beginning to itch a little. Trying to hold it back, afraid it might startle the strange cat-person-thing, Peyton was unable to stop her sneeze, which was quickly followed by another. Sniffling, mildly confused at the reaction - she wasn't allergic to any other cats - the girl proceeded to continue to try and pet the creature, glad that it seemed to be...well, somewhat tame.

Nyan curled around her ankles again, winding back to meet its own tail as it curled and stretched and bent in a manner that would have made a yoga master proud, twisting and tightening like a snake and bound and determined it seemed to topple the target of her 'affections'

Woa, that was...that was a bendy cat. Was that normal? But wait, none of this was normal, it was a cat monster. Sneezing again, Peyton wobbled, stumbling backwards and tripping over the monster-thing, yelping as she did, landing on the ground with a 'thud!', baseball bat still clasped tightly in her hands. "Hey!"

Nyan purred louder and then twisted and turned to try and settle on the fallen Peyton... "Nyaaannnn" She said again and looped her tail around peyton's legs repeatedly intending to keep her down.

What was is trying to do to her? Keep her on the ground!? Peyton wriggled her legs to try and get the message across that she didn't want to stay on the ground, but that didn't seem to work as the cat-thing settled on her chest. "Can you...get off me please," Peyton grumbled, trying to almost 'poke' the thing off of her, using the tip of her baseball bat. Luckily she hadn't been hurt at all by the floor - at least her 'armor' was good for something.

The longer Nyan stays upon you, you start to feel... comfortable. It's like a heavy, fuzzy blanket. You can't help but to yawn. Your grasp on the baseball bat seems to loosen a bit...

This was...weird. She felt really comfortable, like she was in bed or something. A hand came up to suppress her yawn, Peyton glancing at the cat thing with a tired, confused frown. Her hand loosened a little, before it suddenly tightened again, Peyton's mind flashing back to the scenario at hand, giving her renewed strength. No, she couldn't go to sleep, not right now! DUH!
"Get offfff!" the girl whined, nudging a bit more insistantly, trying to push herself up at the same time, having to suppress another yawn as she did so.

Nyan purred throatily and with a deep velvet contentment "NYAAAAANNNN" she said with a loving head bump and made starfish paws on Peyton's shoulders. She was SOOOOooooOoooo comfortable, how could someone -possibly- request that she move!

Nonono, she didn't want to go to sleep! Another yawn, but the girl forced herself to stay awake, trying to fight against the creature as it pushed her back down. Somewhat skilled in the art of staying awake despite being tired, thanks to her late night video-game sessions, Peyton made as if to shove Nyan back, before remembering the bat.
"I'm so- -YAWN- s-sorry, but -YAWN- NO!"
With a yell, she swung the bat around, giving a small squeak as it hopefully collided with enough force to knock the creature off of her. Peyton wanted to be a vet - she wanted to help animals. But perhaps this was the first stage of her learning to understand that you couldn't help them all.
