She was over it. She wasnt the type to mourn, hell she wasnt the type to do much but obey. Though with Venali gone, she had begun to grow more of a backbone. The submission was nice, but it was good to be free once more. She wasnt in the packlands this morning, she had decided to go on an excursion. She was raising the female pup on her own, but her family offered a helping hand whenever it was needed, and she had asked for that today. She was so tired, and she wanted some alone time. Being a single mother wasnt easy!
She was happy though, an obvious smile about her face. She had been upset at first, but a conversation with mother and father helped her grow strong quickly. Bright blue eyes glittered in the morning sun, and she enjoyed the way the green grass was soft under her feet. It just reminded her that her second winter was over, and she was happy for that.
She pranced a little, though the happiness probably derived itself from the freedom of the little pup. She loved her little girl, but she was a solitary wolf for the most part.. and she had put a mental block on the entire subject.

The big male felt calm for now. Happy, even. His dark mood had been spent by killing a warren of rabbit kits, one by one. Rabbit kits screamed in a way few other things did.
He didn't enjoy his dark mood, except when he was in them; they were just a part of his life, along with the calm ones. They just caused him to seek different things.
He noticed the purple female prancing through the woods and decided, in his good mood, it was her he wanted to seek. She piqued his interest not only because of their similar colors but because, well, she was a lone female prancing through the woods, but he could smell pup on her; her own, presumably. Had she just abandoned a litter? That would be exciting.
He paced up behind her as quietly as he could. "Good morning, lady," he said. "An' what are you doing out here on this day?"

She had a darker personality, usually when she got in her depressed moods. But she was still usually happy, and she liked to enjoy life, as well as be dominated. She couldnt help it, she was so flighty in her mind, it seemed having someone stronger than her, gave her a secret thrill. She also felt like it kept her grounded..
When he spoke to her, she was instantly interested, having not seen any other purple wolves around except for her family. Purple ran in her bloodline, it seemed so rare here in Telk.. She gave a little smile, though she lowered her tail in submission, sure that he knew her place.
He smelled of blood, and she couldnt help but let her nose began sniffing while her body stood still. Blood was a common thing between the two. She loved blood, even if it was a strange love indeed.
"Good morning." She responded, eyes fluttering with a flirty gleam. She had a thing for males, and this one.. Oh this one seemed quite interesting.
"Taking a much needed break from a hungry mouth and a restless pack." She responded. Though her mind was sure she wouldnt stay around Aqua too much longer. She knew a war was coming, and she just wasnt in the mood to put up with a war she didnt believe in.
"What of you, stranger?" She asked, looking him over with a pleased smile.

Aah, so she did have a pup -- a pup, singular, which was odd for a well-fed female in a pack. Perhaps she was just cursed with a small litter, or a bad father, or maybe something had happened to the little one's siblings.
She seemed friendly; from the way she was presenting himself to her, he could easily see how she'd landed herself with pups. Silly girl -- still, those were the best kind. He'd take an uncomplaining lady over the sort who spoke all the time any day.
"Hunting," he said, glossing over the subject. He had been, at the root of it, even if it wasn't exactly for sustenance as most would assume. "Are your pack travelers, then?" he prompted. He hadn't scented the territory but he hadn't really been in his right mind most of the morning. Some packs staked their claims with righteous fury and others moved about, sharing land with the other nomads of Telk. If she were in a pack of wanderers... well, it would be so easy for her and perhaps a little pup to go missing, wouldn't it be?

She was a silly girl indeed, usually the type to follow orders and enjoy doing so. She usually never worried, unlike her father Paranoia. She hated to worry, and felt it useless. So if her daughter would go exploring, she wouldnt worry..If she didnt return, then she had simply found something better.
Though Xannie hoped deeply that her daughter stayed around. She was all she had in regards to her own flesh and blood. She wanted to keep that feeling.
She listened as he spoke, sitting and lifting her head a little from the submissive position. She had no fear of this male..Not until he demanded her submission would she grovel at his paws.
"Hunting? Hunting is fun. I prefer less strenuous activities.. I prefer the management.." She said in regards to hunting. She preferred to help organize a hunt over actually doing such a task. She was capable, quite easily..But it was a personal choice the female had chosen. It wasnt like she was forced to hunt, living with a pack that did so for her. She was more calm, and that was too much running.
"Oh no, we arent travelers. We've lived in our lands for quite a long time now..And the Alpha of the lands even longer than that." She remarked, looking over the purple male with appreciation.

Bera sighed a little. So maybe she was just another typical, lazy, demanding female; a manager who didn't hunt. And her body language just a moment before had given him such hope.
She still seemed a bit flaky, though, offering information about her pack at a whim. She could just be trying to impress him with their longevity. He wasn't impressed. Even if he were the kind to fight packs outright -- which he wasn't. Sometimes just taking something precious and then leaving was enough for him. The high of knowing what sort of reactions he might have created could keep him going for days.
"How far away is your pack, then?" he asked, a bit of a sharp edge in his voice. He liked to learn all he could about the area he was in. If this female would continue to give him answers, all the better. Sometimes having a talkative lady could be a good thing.

If she had known he thought she was seeking attention, she likely would have lowered herself once more to the earth. But she smiled, and when he spoke, she looked behind her.
"Ummm.." She began, eyes cascading over the landscape. She had wandered a bit..far from the packlands, that was for sure. Though following the river would take her straight home.
"Well I live near the cliffs over the big water. So I suppose its a little further away from here." She nodded, looking at him. She flicked her ears back as he watched her speak, and gulped a little. She had a hard time reading him, and it gave her a thrill, and yet a tinge of caution.
"What of you? Where do you come from?" She was going to ask if he too had mouths to feed, but she assumed by his demeanor the only mouth he was feeding was his own.

Far, but not so far... perhaps a day's journey, at a steady pace. Bera himself had never been there, but he knew enough of the topography from others he spoke to on his journeys. Unless he was in a mood, Bera nearly always spoke to anything else possessing a vocabulary. He could be charming when he wished to and information was his business. Her pup must be old enough, then, to survive without its mother for a day -- weaned, at the very least, and probably out of that terribly clingy, crying stage.
He looked behind her, also, as he answered, not wishing his eyes to betray, or seem to betray, anything about his origin. "Here and there," he replied. "Originally? It's been quite awhile... I'm not so sure I remember." He didn't, actually. Then again, there were many things he didn't remember. Having occasionally been reminded of them by a third party later on, he realized his bouts of amnesia were better that way.

She knew that there was such a thing as forgetting your past. It wasnt something she had had to accomplish, or at least, not until recently. Forgetting had been easier than she had thought though.. and she was incredibly ready to start something in the way of a new slate.
She blinked, and nodded, smiling a little at him.
"Eh, who needs a past, or a location. If you have a future, its all you need.'' She answered, though it was more philosophical than she usually found herself. She cleared her throat, and wished he would demand something from her.. She felt incredibly out of her element as a female that made her own decisions. She was much too indecisive for that.
"I love your color..by the way." She complimented, forgetting their prior conversation. "Its a family color of mine almost."

A laugh almost burst from his throat; it turned into something like an appreciative growl on the way, but even that was quite a feat for the stoic male. Oddly enough, he laughed easier when he was in his moods, even if he enjoyed himself more in his ordinary state of mind. When those moods came upon him everything he thought and felt was unfiltered and amplified, even joy.
Her line surprised him, in a pleasant manner; his opinion of her was shifting like loose pebbles and he felt no shame of that. If his opinions never changed he would continue to grasp at incorrect assumptions, things that could potentially kill him.
A personal compliment also surprised him; it was not something he was used to hearing. Females were generally drawn to something about him; his domineering manner, his ability to control them. Certainly not his appearance. He held no particular flash; he couldn't hold a candle to half the wolves in the forest. He was just, well, purple. But if purple's your thing...
"Thank you," he said, before he could think of anything else to say. "I can see that," he said. "Is your, ah, hungry mouth purple then, also?"

She nodded with a smile. Yes, Sedation was purple, though she bore a fine stripe of orange over her side, from her father. Of course, Xanax had orange in her family as well, and so Sedation just fit into the family it seemed.
"Yes, my girl is purple. Thankfully." She mused. She wasnt sure why she liked the color so much. Maybe it was because it was a familiar look to her. She had just always known it to mean safety.
"So what do you do for fun, Bera?" She asked, her tail wagging as she cocked her head at him. She liked to sleep.. Of course, she wasnt above a good game or two. She was still young after all!
She didnt inform him that his domineering personality intrigued her. She liked it, as she needed to be commanded to know what to do most times.. But she felt that he was likely already aware he handled others quite well.

She seemed almost obsessed with the color, or at least insistent on carrying it on. Perhaps because her daughter was the only remnant of her family that she had?
Bera was startled by the sudden question. He wasn't really sure how to answer. He didn't exactly do much for fun. He wandered and ate; he only had fun when he went on a sudden spree, and that wasn't anything to discuss in front of a lady. It was time to turn the charm on. Smoothly, he turned the conversation back to her.
"Oh, I'm not so interesting," he told her. "I really want to know more about you, my dear. What about your girls father? Is he still with you? Or was he the sort of male to... run off, after the pup appeared?" Bera was, too. But he wasn't going to imply he was part of that camp, not at all.

She did like her color, though she wasnt as obsessed as she made it seem. She did see it and was reminded of family, but it was just a plus. She smiled, and nodded. She understood not being interesting, hell.. Other than being really calm she wasnt sure she was the most interesting female around either. She could certainly do some stupid things.. But she liked to think she was just a normal female who lived a normal life.
"Im sure youre interesting." She reassured, but nodded once more when he continued speaking. He spoke of Venali, and that part of her heart ached. She did miss him, though she knew it was a life to forget. "No, Venali is long gone. Took her brother with him, and so now they are both off doing their own thing Im sure. It.. It wasnt a good split." She said with soft smile.
"Sorry. Its not really that he left, but that we..left."

"Oh, how unfortunate," he crooned sympathetically. Mentally, he was pleased. No extra male competition around, though he made a note of the name, Venali. If he ever met the male -- and was in the correct state of mind to remember his vendettas -- he would make sure the competition was eliminated permanently. Like all standard male wolves he was interested in sowing his wild oats and eliminating anything that might disturb his fields.
"So you've a son then, too," he said. He didn't appreciate that she had other offspring but she seemed fond of them, so he would avoid killing them.
"Well," he announced, to make his intentions slightly more clear, "I haven't a family of my own. But I'm sure splitting one up is terribly upsetting for everyone."

"Its upsetting only if you think on it long enough to make it so." She shrugged. She was pretty good at putting things out of her mind. One of the things being Venali and her son. Sedation was a sweet teen, but even she had her own thing within the pack. Xanax was pretty much on her own, and though it was nice to be free of bonds..It was tough when all you wanted was to follow someone. She hadnt a mind of her own it seemed. She preferred the idea of having someone tell her what she needed to do. She always seemed to need a direction.
How ready she was to have another family, she wasnt quite sure. She had given up alot when she had her first litter, including her grand physique which she was happy was returning to her quite quickly.
"You dont have family?" She asked curiously.
