It'd been a long time since Ebby'd gone to a professional to get things done. She usually did her own hair, her own nails and a good portion of her own makeup. Giving up the sort of "control" she had over that portion of her life felt odd but refreshing as she sat waiting for someone to be free to treat her next.
The woman was there to get a manicure and probably going to redye her hair when she got home. The pink and white it presently was was giving way to a luscious black again, and it was getting a bit long too. She'd have to do something about that - maybe she'd just cut it this time, it'd been a while since she had black hair. She'd been a preteen then and attempting to babysit. Ebony smiled fondly, remembering her friends and their kids. That'd been interesting, to say the least.

Lux by Email Adhara hadn't had time -or money- to herself for a very long time. However, thanks to her new... 'job', sheamd managed to get enough money to take care of her family and even have enough left over just for her. The young woman smiled pleasantly to herself; at least she'd been lucky enough to have a child of liberality instead of greed. Taking care of her brother had been hard enough. She stepped hesitantly into a beauty salon, amber eyes wide behind her glasses. She didn't know quite what she was here for- probably a hair cut, a manicure... Hell, anything that she could afford and never had time to do herself. Preoccupied in her wonderment, the woman stepped into someone very familiar who it took her a moment longer than it should have to recognize. "Oh, excuse me, I didn't me-- Ebony?!" she asked incredulously, laughing in soft astonishment, not hesitating to wrap the now same-aged girl up in a hug before holding her at arm's length to look her over. "Oh my God, it's been so long! You look good!! How are you? How have you been?!"

Ebony blinked behind those seemingly sightless eyes and stood agape for a second before smiling brightly. "Adhara! It has been really long!" the girl said happily, hugging her old friend.
"Thanks! I'm all right, working as a dancer and all of that. How have you been? How're Aludra and Adelle? I just saw Lirona the other day, she's grown up so much!"

Lux by Email Adhara was absolutely ecstatic about seeing her friend again. Her mind was flooded with memories of the girl from back when the two of them had been much smaller. She chuckled happily, glad that Ebony's life seemed to b going so well. "I'm so glad things are going good for you! Aludra and Adelle are good. After a struggle with an ulcer, 'Ludra's ended up dating his doctor at the Facility. Adelle... well, she's certainly growing into a wonderful young woman, much faster than I would have hope," Adhara said, laughing as she remembered the unfortunate morning when she had walked in on her daughter and her daughter's best friend. "I've been good, too. Me and 'Zuba are living together now, with her daughter Cabonna. Life has been going really well all-around. So tell me, what are you here for?" she asked, unable to keep the wide smile off of her face. She'd nearly forgotten what Ebby looked like, it had been so long!!

Ebony blinked a bit as this wash of information hit her. Ulcers? Kids growing up too fast (given lust spawn and how Adhara herself had gotten pregnant around the age Adelle'd be by now, that didn't bode well)? Living with Zuba and Zuba's DAUGHTER? Some days the girl just felt so out of the loop with her old companions that it wasn't even funny.
The woman laughed lightly and smiled, "Your family sure does have interesting things going on." she commented, reaching out to pat the other girl's tentacles lightly. "Hey there Reena, Niita. How're you two been? Behaving, hm?" she inquired, smiling.
"Oh just to get my nails done," Ebby said with a wave of her hand, "I figured I'd treat myself since we have a slight break from work after our Easter show. How about you?"

Adhara chuckled softly in response to the comment, smiling sweetly at her old friend. "They certainly do. At least we're never really bored, though," she joked with a smile. When they were pointed out, Reena and Niita perked up from where they'd been, playing catch behind Adhara's back. Very suddenly, they practically latched onto Ebony, filled with joy at the attention and snuggling against her hands. Adhara, unsurprisingly, was still smiling.
"They've been behaving very good recently, though I suppose it's because they've been getting more attention than they used to," she said with a nod. "Between all the different attentions of kids and the like, they almost never have time to themselves." She laughed happily and smiled back up at Ebony when she spoke again. "Oh? Well that seems like a good idea. I'm not quite sure what I'm going to get done myself - I just suddenly found myself with a bit of time on my hands and found myself here." The woman flapped her wings gently. "I wouldn't mind getting my nails done, though; should I go with you then?"

"I bet. With all the kids running around your home? I wouldn't be surprised if they were sick of attention with how much they'd get harassed." the woman teased, petting and playing with the appendages. Not all tentacles were friendly, but Adhara's were as old of friends to her as the other girl was, so why not be affectionate with them?
"Sure! We can get them to match or something." Ebony agreed. "I'm sure it's been a long while since you've gotten anything so indulgent done for yourself." she teased.

Adhara laughed good-naturedly and nodded. "Oh, they have been. But they seem to be getting used to it or at least past it by now. After all, they have a good trade for it at this point. Deal with the kids, and then they get 'Zu's attention," she commented, blushing faintly as she chuckled and Reena and Niita continued to happily snuggle against Ebony's hands.
"Cool!!" Adhi exclaimed, sounding a bit younger than she was at that point and smiling happily, wings flapping gently behind her in her, well, excitement. She laughed at Ebony's teasing and grinned, rolling her eyes. "Tell me about it. I don't even get a moment to breathe without something going on that needs my immediate attention."

"I'm sure they love to get to play around with Zu." Ebony joked, patting the two tentacles and pulling her hands back as the line started to shrink. "I'm going to need those when it's my turn." she informed them with a snort.
"well, I guess that's the price you pay for being a Mom. Myself, I'm not even sure if I want to date yet, let alone have kids."

Adhara only blushed a brighter when Ebony joked about that, smiling widely as she pet Reena, who seemed to just wave her away in favour of someone that she didn't get to see on a daily basis. Adhara just rolled her eyes and chuckled a bit, sticking her tongue out a bit at her friend teasingly. "I don't know if you're going to get them back with how much you're coddling these two."
Adhi sighed softly and smiled, nodding her understanding of Ebony's situation. "I can completely understand where you come from. After all, had I... not made that little mistake, I'm sure that I still would have only recently started dating; motherhood wouldn't even be on my mind aside from the random thought of 'If I had kids, what would they look like'. Regardless, Adelle's a blessing no matter, and I wouldn't trade her for the world."

Ebony laughed, "Maybe they can play with my hands after I've gotten my nails done." she said before nodding again at the other woman's statement. "Yes, she is a sweetie and I'm sure you're happy to have her."
When they reached the front of the line, Ebony asked for spots for both her and her friend, and a pair of nice older women came to take them for the start of their manicures, setting the pair in seats next to each other so they could talk.

"I'm sure that they'd enjoy that," Adhara said happily with a soft laugh, taking the attention of the tentacles back to her own hands and arms. They were quite excited still, of course, considering they hadn't seen Ebony in such a long time, but they weren't going to be able to get at her for a bit. Thankfully, they knew that and wouldn't argue with it as they would have at a younger age.
She followed after her friend and the kind women who led them to their seats, smiling sweetly and thanking them before turning to glance at her friend. "So tell me, have any big things happened? Have you met anyone interesting recently?"

The girl considered a moment. Well, she could start talking about her ex-boyfriend but that didn't sound at all interesting. Or about any number of other people she'd met. Finally, she decided on just talking, "A few people here and there, a couple of lost toddlers, Lirona - as I said earlier - and a few kids I knew when I was younger. How about you?"

Adhara lay both of her hands on the provided armrests, allowing them to relax, taking a deep breath and letting it out slowly to try to suppress her diligence-born desire to be in constant motion. Her tentacles took it upon themselves to see what could be done to this fancy chair, wings folding properly behind herself before she laid back, wincing slightly as the golden metal frame bit into her skin slightly. She took another deep breath, letting it out as a soft sigh this time as she laid back in the chair, focusing herself on calming her muscles as though it was the same as cleaning the bathroom. In all honesty, it did take just about as much focus.
Opening her amber eyes, she swiveled them to where Ebony was seated beside her, smiling sweetly. "I can only assume that those lost toddlers weren't quite so lost when you left them, am I right?" she asked sweetly, giving a soft chuckle. After all, Ebony was part kindness. She was sure that the woman wouldn't be able to simply leave a couple of toddlers to be lost. "About the same, as a matter of fact, though I seem to be meeting more new people than old," she replied, laying back once again, though her attention remained on the conversation. "Probably because it isn't often that I get a chance to go out and meet other people anymore, so it's generally my daughter bringing more and more friends home every day." She laughed softly, giving a wistful smile. "Though as far as anything big, I'm not sure there really is. Nothing that I haven't already told you, that is. Any particularly interesting characters who have come up recently, from the Facility or otherwise?"

Ebony nodded in response, amused by that, "Guilty as charged. I half carried them both to their home - luckily they apparently lived by the facility anyway. Or something of that nature." she explained, "Though no, I've honestly just been keeping to myself. Shows have me constantly practicing so I dont' get to socialize as much anymore, and then when I'm backstage, I don't get as much time to meet individual people as I'd like."
