Square-Enix's publicist seems to running in over time as there is yet another new magazine article about XIV. This time it comes the ultimate Japanese gaming magazine (and the only magazine I trust when it comes to major game reviews) Famitsu.

Again its more about the alpha testing which just makes this information even more awesome, as they're only getting a taste of what the full gameplay will actually be. And even then the Alpha testing Build is amazing.

Anyways the article is about two different characters created one Fighter based, the other magic. And details the basic setup of combat. Read on for more. Oh and of coarse its been translated by my favorite XIV related website ZAM.
Famitsu translated

My personal favorite is the description of the how detailed the Character creation process will be. Spending a day just to perfect your own character? Sign me up.

on the equipment screen the bottom part is covered up, are there going to be rings!?!

Still nothing about Moogles or houses, but the character customization seems awesome! I also like the job system of just having weapon, and the body stats so as to build up yourself is great!

skip to 2:00 minutes on this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vEUJR-GHoCQ and you will see there are no ring or earring slots ; ; that must mean there is no goldsmithing craft. so i guess they are complete about their crafts, there sure are going to be a lot of blacksmiths, but i guess that will be fine since weapons need repairing. i'm really considering being a tanner now since bags are probably made of hides and leather, i'll always have something I can make that will be in demand. everyone needs belts too. now i just wonder if we need to learn subcrafts for our crafts or not. lemmie know if you find out.

:3 Their is still hope for rings and such. Its only in alpha, I have a feeling we'll see it later on. Perhaps its too early to implement rings. Here's hoping!
