In was a nice summer afternoon in the Land of Lightning, fog lazily drifting over the lower hills while the mountains basked in the sunshine. I was standing in the bar of my little Tsuki No Me Inn, shining a spotless beer mug as tendrils of smoke from my cigarette dreamily floated to the ceiling. I was bored, stuck waiting for the customers to start poring in as they always did when night fell. Truthfuly, I was mostly awaiting the arrival of the Konoha ninja.
You see, I had reservations in advance for four Konoha ninja to stay at my lonely inn, and frankly, I was quite excited. It had been awhile since I had heard from my old village, and I couldn't wait to hear the news I knew my guests would bring. Unfortunatly, I had no idea the trouble those idiots would cause when they finally got here....

Kakashi, Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke were truding through the mountians, attepting to stay firmly on the trail. The surrounding forest was covered by the unusually low lying fog, making navigation extremely difficult for the tired ninja. And Naruto's complaining didn't help any...
"KAKASHI-SENSEI?!?" Kakashi winced slightly at Naruto's loud, obnoxious voice, trying to gather the last of his patience to avoid killing the young genin.
"What is it this time Naruto?" he wearily asked, peeking over Makeout Paradice at the annoyed blonde.
"Why the heck do we have to go to this stupid Kumo Village anyways?! I'd rather be back at home training!" he complained for perhaps the hundreth time.
"He already told you, you dunce." Sasuke muttered, giving an annoyed sigh.
"You idiot, we're going to Kumogakure because we have to see how the Hidden Cloud Village works! They're our most dependable allies, so making sure the relations are kept good are very important." Sakura explained, rolling her eyes.
"Correct Sakura, thank you." Kakashi said, guiding them back on to the right trail.
"Stop asking so many stupid questions, you dunce." Sasuke ordered, oynx eyes flashing.
"Dunce?!? Who are you calling a dunce?!?"
"You obviously."
"Why I outta-"
"Naruto!! Get away from Sasuke!!"
Kakashi sighed deeply, sinking deeper and deeper into his book.
God, was my squad that annoying back then? he thought, tuning out the arguments. Truthfully, now that he thought about it, they probably were. Obito acted exactly like Naruto, he acted (much to his disgust) exactly like Sasuke and Rin... He paused at the thought. No.. Rin acted nothing like Sakura, Rin was completely herself. Kakashi was suddenly consumed by an overwhelming feeling of longing. Poor Rin.. It had been so long since he had seen her, after Obito's death and his rejection, she had been so quiet, so reserved... After that she had left the village and he hadn't heard from her again. If only...
His thoughts were inturrupted when sunlight suddenly came out of nowhere, streaming from a cloudless sky. Kakashi blinked at the light, glancing, disoriented, up from his book. They had made it to the small checkpoint village.
"Yes!! Finally!!" Naruto yelled energetically, pumping his fist into the air.
"Thank god," Sakura muttered. "I was about to go insane in there." Kakashi silently agreed, smiling under his mask. He was relieved to be distracted of his grim thoughts. Any distraction was better that dwelling on the bitter past.
"Come everyone, the Tsuki No Me Inn is just ahead." he said, walking through the village gates. It was an awfully small town; he spotted the inn almost immediantly, his team running torwards it as he leisurely walked behind.
"This place looks like a dump." Naruto whined as they walked in, a small chingling bell announcing their arrival. Kakashi paid no attention to his complaints or even the inn, returning to Makeout Paradise.
"Afternoon." lazily said a nearby voice. "You must be the Konoha ninja; you're rooms are on the top floor to your left."
"Thank you." Kakashi replied, glancing up to shoot the owner a masked smile. But then he saw her... His one good eye, grew wide as he stared, dumbstruck, at the girl, shock hitting him like a lightning bolt. No.. It couldn't be, there was no possible way... But as he saw her long brown hair, her beautiful figure, her bright chocolate eyes, widening as she saw him. There was no question who she was..
"Rin?!?!"
