Minutes had felt like hours, hours like days, days like weeks, weeks like years. It had been hard for Linn to leave when she had, she knew once she left Zuzu would probably return and she would miss him; but she had to know. Every moment away from him pushed Linn further into a hole of hopelessness, further into the feeling that she did not belong. It was stupid, she had known, to think she was not ment to be with her own family just because of her looks, but up untill now her childhood thoughs still surfaced when Zuzu was not around.
Linn's thoughts never fell on looks when he was near, she never felt different. But now, now the feeling was gone. It had taken a long time for Aislinn to find her father and once and for all quell the sorrowful thoughts that had burdened her for her entire life. It was time to go home. Mane and tail spread out behind her like an ebony banner in the wind as she ran to the place she had come to call her home, the place where she had spent so much time with Zuzu. She didnt slow her pace as she drew near to the tree line or even when she was in the forest. It wasnt until the trees began to thin and give way to the clearing. She slid to a halt, her hooves sliding briefly on wet spring grass. "Zuzu!" She called out, her eyes searching and ears listening for any sign of the one she loved and missed so. But there was nothing. Her ears pressed flat to her skull and tears began to well in her eyes. Surely she had missed him again.
