With the Japanese you know, or what you want to know. How will you use your Japanese? Do you want to be a photographer in Japan? Translate Anime or Manga? Or perhaps just work in a cafe?
Let us know~! heart * Personally I want to make a Lolita store or cafe and be able to speak Japanese to the Japanese customers that come in. Plus advertising would look super cute with just a few sayings here and there. It would also be nice to be able to translate scanlations and things for those who don't know Japanese. 3nodding
And you?

My Japanese is too limited for me to do anything about it. I can say hello, cute, yes, no, and I'm home.

Well, I'm going to be visiting there in two years, then after I teach in the U.S. for a while and get my master's degree, I plan on moving to Japan and teach English or History at a small college or high school.
I have heavy dreams. wink

I just want to be multilingual. Lol.
I can speak English and Filipino. It will be cool if I could speak another language.
To be honest, I was attracted to the Japanese language. I'll probably learn Korean once I "master"" Japanese.

I want to get my bachelor's (probably major in japanese or linguistics or something along that line.) Once I have my bachelor's I will apply for the JET program. JET is the Japanese Exchange and Teaching program. If I am accepted I can be either a teaching assistant at a middle school or high school in japan or I can be Coordinator for International Relations. The second one basiscally works with local government offices in japan doing translating and interpreting.

♪子猫の兄弟がひだまりで、 大きくなったら何になる?大きくなったらトラになる I'm going to visit Tokyo this summer so I will put my Japanese to use there. I also have been invited to travel with my boyfriend to his home-town and I will definitely need it there since his parents don't speak any English .... so I will need to practise hard @_@

Translating manga, watching anime without subtitles, travelling to Japan, hopefully I can land a job that requires Japanese + sciences. If not, then I guess I can only use Japanese for Anime/Manga, Japanese vacation.
It's something that I am interested in so (:

I'm with Goat. My Japanese is so limited that there's not much I can do with it. I just figure my duty is to make sure that there aren't any morons walking around pronouncing everything wrong and to feed small children random words in Japanese.

I've got a good learning curve when it comes to languages, so as long as I stay on top of it it's pretty easy. But I just want to visit japan so that's all I'll need it for, well and playing import games and watching non-sub anime's

I'm trying to learn Japanese via Rosetta Stone right now (I've heard good things about it.) I was doing it because I really really want to finish this manga that no one is scanlating anymore. So I figured, I'd learn just so I can finish it. (Dedicated right? lol)
Plus I think it would be good to know since my mom might be working over there for a year...yikes! So I can visit and make the most out of my experience.

My learning Japanese has another purpose now thanks to my mom. Lol. She told me to apply in Japan Airlines as part-time when I become a doctor. I get lots of travel benefits when I work in an Airline according to her. Like my dad who works for Philippine Airlines, he gets flight ticket discounts and CRUISE ticket discounts. Hell yeah. Lol.
