(( cert to come when it gets here! ^^ ))

Wakka was wondering through the fields of the lands, lush green grass stroked against his black coat. The little white daisy's swaying side by side in the wind. It was a pleasant day. One that was not too warm or too cold. Not too bright or two dark. They were clouds in the sky but not enough to taint the brilliant blue. Wakka's eyes were really black, really deep, really shiny. They contrasted greatly with his bright yellow face. They were scanning the field for another sign of life. Wakka was the kind of male who would be lonely after just a few hours. It was the reason he made friends with everyone he met. If one got bored and sent him away, then there was another he could run to. He had hundreds of them, from all different lands. Since he had spent so much of his life going from place to place.

Then he caught sight of a mare, tilting his head. A warm smile came onto his face. What luck, she was a very pretty one too. With rainbow like hair which competed with his. SHE WAS PRETTY TOO! He smiled, flicking his mane and holding his head up high, strutting over to the white female. The smile on his face getting larger and larger with each step. "Well. Hellllloooooo Beautiful!" He greeted, in his loud voice, he was one of those males who did not have a middle, it was either a sneaky whisper or a overconfident bellow. He stood and let out a small giggle. Hoping she was as social as he was. SHE WAS PRETTY TOO!

She peeked out from behind a tree, looking at the field in front of her. It was a lovely spring day and Rain Curl decided to stray a little further from her home, hoping for a nice day in the sun. Living in a forest, the sun wasn't that bright in comparison to what she saw outside of the forest. The field was silent, there were birds chirping and what looked to be other small animals scurrying about, but no one familiar to her. What she meant by familiar was another soquili.

Rain Curl started to walk into the field, looking for a suitable area to rest or something to occupy herself with. Hearing someone say beautiful, she almost jumped. Almost. She turned around and saw a peculiar stallion coming her way. She looked over her shoulder, wondering who he was referring to. Seeing no one, Rain Curl assumed it was her that he was calling beautiful. Her eyebrows raised in surprise, it had been awhile since she heard something like that.

She definitely wasn't the youngest mare around. After all, the filly she cared for when she was younger was a mother now and for awhile too. For all Rain Curl knew, Mireille could be a grandmother now as well or even a mother again. She really needed to go out and see her and Zei and their home one day. She looked him over, a handsome stallion, her eyes were drawn to the shapes on his body, something about them made her smile. And his face! Well she had no idea how she missed him. He stood out very well.

"Do you always greet mares with such flattery?" She smiled warmly at him. She wondered where he was from. There was no way he lived around here, she most likely would have seen him by now, or at least heard about him.

"Only the ones that deserve it my dear. I spotted you from far off. Before I knew it I saw myself admiring your hair and that cute little blush across your face. I though I might come over and say what I thought before you caught he staring and found me to be strange." He stated, examining her more now he had been aloud to get a little closer, Wakka was a male who could be put in a room full of strangers and talk to everyone, a man who could walk besides a stranger and treat them like a friend, even though some saw it was weird it really was his best virtue, after all if you never approached people you did not know, how did you ever expect to get to know people. Know people he did. Lots and Lots of people he called friends.

He eyes her silky white coat, the patten on her rump was really quite pretty, a mixture of rainbows and stars which even though pale seemed to match her hair well. It brought a large smile on his face, before he realized he was looking at her rump and not her face. "Oops, sorry, I like pattens." he gave a nervous chuckle. The one time he was looking at a ladies rump for a reason other than looking at a ladies rump and he was caught out. Congratulations Wakka... the fail award of the day goes to! He hoped he had not made her uncomfortable because of his lack of control of his eyes. The more he seemed to look at the mare the prettier she seemed to get.

Wakka himself was a young stallion, just coming out of his teenage years. The mare did appear like she was older than him, however he saw mares as wines, they get better with age. Like a flower the last stage is always its glorious. Plus the older mares were more experienced seemed to have more class to them. The teenage mares of today seemed to only want one thing, love and passion. Wakka could not say much, he was the same. There was nothing more he liked than pleasing a pretty mare. He would admit he has had one night romances with more than a few He gave her a gentle smile. Waiting for her to react.

Oh yes, definitely not from around here. She was flattered by his compliments but unsure about what to make of them. Of course a thank you was the polite thing to say, and so she said thank you in response to his words. However, she took his compliments as a type of greeting. Although, the way she greeted others was with a ‘how are you or a mere hello and then an introduction of herself’, she knew everyone had very different personalities and views so it was possible that he came from a more lax area or he was raised like that. He was younger too; she noticed many of the younger generation were more frivolous.

Rain Curl noticed his straying eyes. “Really? I like them as well. You might not have noticed, but I was drawn to the shapes on your body.” She leaned her head forward to get a better look at them. “They look like creatures of some sort but no creatures I have ever seen.” She laughed. “With eyes but no leg."

"So...." She paused. "Where are you from?" She asked, genuinely curious about him and his home. She never traveled before but she had heard of many lovely places from Azn before and she always found herself asking many questions.

"Yeah, I have been told many things about them, some say they are like mini jelly fish, others say they look like aliens. I have no clue. People seem to find it fun to name them for some reason. Oh well. Least I will never be lonely you know." He joked, looking back at them. Yes his little monsters, they were defiantly strange. With a small smile. He looked at the mare once more, he was going to tell her what they were called however he did not want to give there name before she knew his. However before he could say anything she then asked where he came from. He laughed.

"Do I really sound that much like a foreigner. Hmm. That is a question I do not know myself really, since I was young I have been travelling. So all I can say is I came from a place far far away. Picking up things as I went along. My name is Wakka Wakka by the way, feel free to call me Wakka! How about you sweat heart?" He asked, she seemed friendly enough. Nice enough to talk to. The mare seemed to have the lightest eyes that he had ever seen, completely different to his which were pretty much midnight black. However they were not the easiest thing to see under his brightly coloured boyish hair. He did not mind others asking him questions. If he had a pretty face to look at, he was happy her asking him what ever she wanted.

Oh, how the day was young. Wakka looked at the mare with a small smile on his face. "Hmm." He thought for a moment before he ran over to a patch of flowers. Picking a few till he had a bunch in his mouth, then approaching the mare once more. He had sure he got all colours, rainbow like. He put them by her feet and looked at her looking all proud of himself "I am sorry, you can not greet a pretty girl with out flowers. Its rude."

People named them? Well, Rain Curl had never thought of that. What would she name them? She thought about it. No names came to mind. Well she wasn't very creative anyway. It must be genetic, after all she was named Rain Curl. But it definitely suited her as she thought on her curls. Perhaps the rain came from possibly being born when it was raining outside? But she was not sure since she never knew her parents, she had no one to ask.

He was a traveler. It wasn't a road she ever considered but to those who did travel, she admired them. It was a difficult road to take. Rain Curl couldn't imagine leaving behind her home and all of her close friends for a new place she was unfamiliar with. Perhaps for the right reasons she would go and travel but for now, she would rather listen to stories and imagine than see it for herself.

"You have a very lovely name, Wakka." She smiled. "My name is Rain Curl. But I am called by both, not just by the first name." Although with a name like Wakka Wakka, it made sense to be only called Wakka. When he took off, she blinked in surprise. Where in the world was he going? She craned her neck to try and see. When he returned with flowers, she felt her cheeks heat up. It was a sweet gesture, although not necessary to do.

"Thank you." Rain Curl smiled at Wakka. "They will look very nice in front of my home. It will surely brighten the place up!" She nosed the flowers lightly, inhaling the pretty scent of them. They could very well be the first flowers of spring, and they were all so colourful and lovely.

"Rain? that's a lovely name too. I like rain, I like running in it you know. It cools you down on a hot day. It waters the flowers and makes them grow." He chuckled and nodded his head at the pretty colourful mare. He saw her blush which made his face light up, as he guessed finer mares would not like the same gestures the younger ones dead. However a few kind words and flowers are a much better way to charm one. She seemed to enjoy them anyway. "D'aww you are so sweet my dear." He commented. She was going to take them home with her, she really was a sweat heart.

Looking down into her eyes again, a comforting and gentle smile on his face, tilting his head like a little puppy he tried to plan his next move. He was always one to keep things doing, awkward silences was something that he could not stand, not at all. "Hmm. How about I get you something to eat? After all I brought you flowers I might as well take you out for dinner now." He smiled, he knew a apple tree that was not too far away, he was sure with a few quick kicks, the sweet fruit would rain from the sky, however he was going to wait for her to come with him. After all there was no point going to dinner with out fair lady at ones side. He turned shifting his head in a motion asking the mare to follow him. He found he was still admiring the mare, could you really blame him? "You look lovely today." He smiled, he said that a lot but this time he meant it. She was a very attractive women.

It was a lovely scene for there first date, all the flowers, the birds singing, the sky above there heads. Very romantic indeed. He was really going full out. He wanted to charm this mare, impress her. All that he could wish for is a rainbow. He had a feeling she would like that however he knew no one was that lucky.

“Well if you prefer only Rain, then that is fine as well. Although it is new to me, it will take some time getting used to.” She nodded. She knew many soquili went by only one name, so it was most likely the usual. It was rare to meet someone with more than one name and being referred to by both names as well.

She looked up at him, wondering what was on his mind. He looked to be on the verge of saying something. When he asked to take her somewhere to eat, she stood there stunned. Compliments, flowers and now dinner? She thought about what to say. It would be rude to decline such a generous offer but she wasn’t exactly hungry right this minute and she was also quite unsure what his intentions were. Though he was kind, wasn’t it strange to receive gifts right away? She wasn’t used to it.

“That is a very generous offer but maybe we can both look for food later? I ate before I left my home and though I do enjoy food, I think it would be rude of me not to finish my portion off.” She hoped he wouldn’t be cross with her. Or think she didn’t like him. That was not true at all. She liked him very much; he seemed to be of a good sort.

“When I came out today, I actually was going to lie down and sunbathe for a little while because I live in the forest and the sun is so much brighter out in this field, but I think a walk would be nice. Wouldn’t you agree?” She rambled on, nervous.

Wakka smiled, hey if she already ate that was not her fault. She had no idea that she was going to be asked out by a stallion this fine day. So if she wanted to go for a walk, that would be just fine with him. Anything as long as Rain was entertained and he got to speak with her a little more, something about her sparked a interest in him. She was very sweet. The kind of mare that you could imagine running to with your problems, the kind of caring mare who liked to meet everyone she met happy. It had been a while since he had met one like that. It was refreshing.

"Well that is great too. Maybe we can talk as we go. Maybe I can tell you about some of the places I have been to." He mentioned, she seemed to perk up a little when he said that he went all over the place. Maybe she would be interested in a few tales from his journeys. Something to pass the time on and make her a little more comfortable. It must be a little odd talking to a stranger, Wakka by now was used to it, however he knew not everyone was like him, god help the world if that was the case.

He took a step forward, the grass soft against his legs and a gentle breeze ruffling his hair. He cleared his throat and looked over at her, waiting for her to follow. "I was once in this place, in a desert and whilst wondering. I saw great structures coming out of the grounds, like stair cases to the sky. The largest things I have ever seen in my life, I do not know what they are for. However just being around them you know they are something special. I would love to show others them, they were amazing."
PostPosted: Fri Apr 09, 2010 5:44 pm

"I'd like that." She really would. It would be good to hear the places he went to, hear what sort of environments he had to experience and survive in. Also, what type of animals lived in those places as well as soquili he may or may not have encountered in his journeys. She had met regulars, unicorns and winds, and had heard about flutters, but otherwise she didn't know if there were even more subspecies of soquili.

Rain Curl followed after him, till she reached him. She walked beside him, glancing over continuously when Wakka was speaking. "Did you find it very hot there? And there's still tons of sand, right?" She questioned. "And the structures, were they really that large?" Rain Curl tried to imagine a staircase, but she did not know what a staircase even was so it was very difficult to imagine it reaching the sky. But by the way Wakka spoke, she believed they were really that big, whatever they were.

"Do you think the two-leggers made them? Their homes are always nice to look at. They're very intelligent, the things they can come up with." She curiously asked him. Living for a little while in the two-legger's settlement, Rain Curl saw their equipment and was amazed but also frightened by some things she saw.

She was a mare that asked many questions indeed she was. "It was very warm, especially to one with a black coat like mine. There is no shade and all you can see is sand, which hearts with the sun so its warm on your hooves. However at night, the temperature drops below freezing. There is not much water however there are a few puddles every few miles. I have to admit it was the harshest environment that I have ever been in." He admired, every word he said was true, he remembered being their so vividly. A smile came onto his face. He did like talking to her, and he never really got to share his adventures with others.

"I know they did, nothing like it could come out of mother earth. It as one of the greatest things I have ever seen. It towered over tree's in fact it towered over anything I have seen besides a mountain. From a distance though I thought it was one, a huge man made mountain reaching into the sky." He smiled and nodded thinking that as the most simple way so sum it up. Wakka was yet to be tamed by a human, he was a wild horse to the bone. "I have seen humans, however I do not know much of them since I do not have one, you do notice though, there are many tribes from all different lands, all of them look different, talk different, worship different gods, live different lives, no two tribes are the same."

He mentioned, he stayed in settlements at times, humans had treat him with great respect. It was funny how they seemed to understand the Soquili. They were wonderful creatures. They really were. "I have also been in the opposite of environments, the icy tops of mountains, where it is so cold your nose freezes, snow flakes feel like daggers, the sun blocked out. Nature can be so harsh. However wonderful." he smiled, thinking about it, he would never trade his adventures for the world, they meant too much to him. However he did not realise it until now, not properly.
PostPosted: Sat Apr 10, 2010 10:08 am

"I could never live in the desert, with all that sand and little water. The heat and then the cold would be very difficult to deal with." She shook her head, imagining it as best she could. Such a challenging environment to survive in, how could people do it? But with the humans, they must have found ways to survive because of the structures they built. The ones Wakka described so well.

With his further explanation of those unknown structures, Rain Curl found it easier to think of an image for them. She wondered if you could climb them, did they really seem like they could touch the sky? Goodness, to build a structure like that, it must have taken hundreds of years to do. Many generations of humans. She was rather stunned by it, to make such things. Simply amazing.

"I stayed with a human in the forest, for many years. They were some of the best years of my life. Sometimes other soquili stayed with us. She was very important to me. Still is, of course." Rain Curl smiled a little, thinking of her human. But she was sad too, thinking of her. Somedays it was harder than others, least she could still see her when she wanted to though it was a little different now, since they lived in two different places.

"Have you? I think I lived in the mountains or at least somewhere cold as well. I remember being in the cold before I met my human. But winter does come here too, so I see the snow every year. And the ice. I've lived here for so long, you'd think I'd be used to it by now, but no it's still so cold." Rain Curl's body gave a small shiver, just thinking about it. "But it's spring now, so now winter again for awhile." It was also her favourite season too, spring. She loved seeing the flowers bloom and seeing the children playing in fields. The showers were nice too.

Wakka smiled, his journeys were difficult, some places he did not want to be. As often as people say I am off on a adventure it is rare that person knows what they were getting into, he sure as hell did not when he started his. However over the months he had gotten used to things being tough. Expect everything and you will never be caught off guard. Every so often he came to lands like these for a break, to get away from it all. In reply to his question he answered. "Well, they have there ways, they make wells, they carry water in buckets, they build houses and huts for shelter. Even though they do not look threatening, even though they do not even seem capable of defending themselves, they have good heads on their shoulders. Its probably why the Soquili get along with them so much." He joked, shaking his head.

"Why did you leave if you enjoyed living with her so much, you sound as if you have left?" He asked, looking down at the mare and tilting his head. Deciding it was about time he asked her a question, conversation seemed to be running very smoothly between the two, it was always a good sign. Wakka was actually surprised with himself in the fact he was yet to make a move on her.

"No one ever gets used to the cold, they can grow a tolerance to it, however even those who always live in the mountains still feel the chill every so often. I am a male who would rather be too warm than too cold by far. Snow is not really mu cup of tea however when it is here you need to look on the bright side of things and find a way to make it fun. I like the autumn best, it is not too not nor too cold. There are wildlife and plants however the colours are a lot more vibrant and fiery in my eyes, also the sunrises and sunsets are more amazing... and of cause night comes sooner with means more sleep!" he stated with another small chuckle. The wind blowing through his multi-coloured and boyish mane. He looked at the mare once more, admiring her coat as he had been doing the whole time they were walking, a fine mare. A fine mare indeed.
PostPosted: Wed Apr 14, 2010 4:33 pm

"Leave?" She blinked, surprised. Rain Curl thought about her previous words. Did she make it sound like that? As though she left her owner? She would never do that! But then hadn't she? After all wasn't she supposed to stay with her owner forever? Regardless of where she moved to? True, that teepee had been both of their homes for many years and it was still Rain Curl's home but if she did love and cherish her owner she shouldn't of returned back to their home. She should of sucked it up and stayed in the village with her human, as Mireille might say. Not slink off because she missed her home so much.

"You're right. I did leave her." She said. "We lived together for so long and then she met others of kind. I guess I forgot that there were other humans out there. I wondered why she was alone, sometimes, but it didn't really hit me till I saw her with them. And then when she packed up, I went with her." She paused, "but I missed the forest and so I returned." Rain Curl loved the home she had, she searched for what felt like a long time for a place where she belonged. The forest was it.

"Though she visits or I visit her, it is true what you say." Talking it over with Wakka, thinking about it, she felt guilty. She deserted her owner, what a horrible mare she was. She was a little dismayed by her discovery but it was good to finally talk with someone about it. She looked down at the grass, looking at the dandelions.

Looking up finally, she caught the end of Wakka's words about autumn. "Autumn is very lovely. I like when the leaves turn colour. But my favourite season is spring. When the snow finally melts and the animals who hibernate start to come out again and the flowers begin to bloom. I think of it as a new beginning." Her voice became brighter as she talked about why she liked spring. The other seasons all had their reasons for why they were good but in Rain Curl's eyes, spring would always be the best. That would never change for her.

Wakka had known for a very long time, how much of a dangerous thing it was to become too attached to a place, he saw it as imprisonment, to fall in love with a place was much like falling in love with a person, it meant that no matter what. You would not leave, to be tied down was something that he never was able to do. Not until now at least, not until he met Wakka. He did not want to leave him, not for any gay reason, for the fact he was his best friend. He smiled at the female understanding what she said.

"Well of cause you would miss it, this is your home, it means something to you so there is no shame in wanting to be close. I am sure she knows that you still care about her, when ever she does see you it will make her happy. I am not accustomed to the thought. I have never had a home, just the path ahead of me. I never thought I would be missing out on anything, until I talked to others in this land, how attached and passionate they are about it, it made me want to stick around for a little while." He smiled with a small nod. His home was not much of a home at all. It was a wasteland, his herd was mad they all hated him not anyways. Crazy horses. They are probably all dead now.

"I guess you like foals then? any of your own? thats what I think about when I think of spring, the baby boom, the mass amount of kiddlets running wanting to play. I have never had any myself, however because of the colourful animals on my coat, little ones seem to like chasing me around." He smirked with a small laugh, it was true, when ever a kid saw him it was like he was made out of sugar or something. He did not understand it himself, however he would entertain them for a while. He was not heartless and never lost patience with little ones, after all he was getting constantly told he acted like one himself.
